Abstract:
A mobile early detection of breast cancer named ‘Mangupura Woman Services’ (MAWAS) has been conducted by Badung District Health office, Bali Province. Evaluation of users’ satisfaction towards MAWAS has not been conducted. This study aimed to measure users’ satisfaction levels towards MAWAS. A cross-sectional study was conducted in Badung to 90 respondent who recruited purposively based on the criteria of women in reproductive age who have utilized MAWAS. Users’ satisfaction was explored from five dimensions of healthcare quality including tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. Data was analyzed using Importance Performance Analysis and Cartesius Diagram. The highest importance score was in dimension of assurance (333,67) and the lowest was in responsiveness (323). The highest performance score was in dimension of empathy (310,25) and the lowest was in reliability (293,6). Empathy was the dimension with the highest level of satisfaction (94,66%) and reliability was the lowest (87,90%). Components of MAWAS that should be the main priorities for improvement were the comfort of service area, skill and ability of providers, information about service procedures and examination results. This study showed that tangible and reliability dimensions were perceived as unsatisfactory. Meanwhile, responsiveness, assurance and empathy dimensions were considered as satisfactory. Therefore, the managers of MAWAS should conduct training to improve the skill of service providers in providing quality services for the community. Abstract:
The objective of this research was to study the effectiveness and accuracy of using the direct estimation method to determine a worker's lifting capacity or MAWOL of symmetrical and asymmetrical lifting tasks. Sixteen lifting tasks involving four different lifting angles and lifting frequencies were studied. In the first part of the study, ten male subjects performed sixteen lifting tasks to predict the MAWOL for each task condition using the psychophysical method. In the second session of the study, the MAWOL for sixteen task conditions were estimated using the direct estimation method. The results of this study indicate that direct estimation is an accurate method to establish MAWOL quickly for a series of lifting tasks. Analysis of the MAWOLs determined by two different methods indicated no significant difference between these two values. However, a significant difference was found between the direct estimated MAWOLs and the psychophysical predicted MAWOLs at the frequency of 1 lift/min with 30° or 60° asymmetry. This finding indicates as the interval between lifts increases, subjects have difficulty in making accurate estimates of the stress of the specific task, therefor, the direct estimation method should be used with caution.

Abstract:
Few contemporary operas achieve the newsworthiness of Nicholas Maw's Sophie's Choice. Even before its 7 December première at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, the piece dented public consciousness thanks to a barrage of press coverage surrounding the production, the cast, and the subject matter. The irony is that it was the other names associated with the opera – conductor Simon Rattle, director Trevor Nunn, and William Styron, author of the 1979 novel – that made Sophie's Choice a news story, rather than the fame of its composer. Yet Maw's was the ultimate responsibility for the creation of this ambitious, large-scale work.

Abstract:
The manufacturers of China VI heavy-duty vehicles were required to conduct in-service conformity (ISC) tests by using a portable emissions measurement system (PEMS). The moving averaging window (MAW) method was used to evaluate the NOx emission required by the China VI emission standard. This paper presented the results of four PEMS tests of a China VI (step B) N3 category vehicle. Our analyses revealed that the real NOx emission of the test route was much higher than the result evaluated by the MAW method. We also found the data produced during the urban section of a PEMS test was completely excluded from the evaluation based on the current required boundary conditions. Therefore, in order to ensure the objectivity of the evaluation, this paper proposed three different evaluation methods. Method 1 merely set the power threshold as 10% for valid MAWs; Method 2 reclassified the MAWs into “Urban MAWs”, “Rural MAWs” and “Motorway MAWs” according to the vehicle speed. Method 3 reclassified the MAWs into “Hot MAWs” and “Cold MAWs” according to engine coolant temperature. The NOx emission evaluation results for Method 1 were not satisfactory, but those for Method 2 and Method 3 were close to the real NOx emission, the errors were all within ±10%.

Abstract:
Abstract Minimal absent words (MAWs) are minimal-length oligomers absent from a genome or proteome. Although some artificially synthesized MAWs have deleterious effects, there is still a lack of a strategy for the classification of non-occurring sequences as potentially malicious or benign. In this work, by using Markovian models with multiple-testing correction, we reveal significant absent oligomers, which are statistically expected to exist. This suggests that their absence is due to negative selection. We survey genomes and proteomes covering the diversity of life and find thousands of significant absent sequences. Common significant MAWs are often mono- or dinucleotide tracts, or palindromic. Significant viral MAWs are often restriction sites and may indicate unknown restriction motifs. Surprisingly, significant mammal genome MAWs are often present, but rare, in other mammals, suggesting that they are suppressed but not completely forbidden. Significant human MAWs are frequently present in prokaryotes, suggesting immune function, but rarely present in human viruses, indicating viral mimicry of the host. More than one-fourth of human proteins are one substitution away from containing a significant MAW, with the majority of replacements being predicted harmful. We provide a web-based, interactive database of significant MAWs across genomes and proteomes.

Abstract:
The present study was an adaptation of Richeson and Nussbaum's (2004) study of racism to gender bias. Two different gender ideologies were theoretically analyzed, then the influence of these ideologies on implicit and explicit forms of gender bias was examined. Psychology undergraduates were presented with a prompt promoting either a sexblind or sexaware approach to reducing gender bias. Participants then completed a measure of implicit (IAT Gender/Career) and explicit (MAWWWS) bias. Results suggested that, relative to the sexaware perspective, the sexblind perspective generated less implicit gender bias. There was no difference between ideological groups on the explicit measure. The findings of the present study increase the body of literature on the sexblind and sexaware ideologies and call into question the assumption that sexism and racism are analogous constructs.

Abstract:
In his article 'The Death of the Author', Roland Barthes posits that the intentions and identity of an author are irrelevant to the understanding of an artwork. Yet in his analysis of a text by Balzac, Barthes inadvertently demonstrates that there are basic thematic categories associated with an artist's identity, which are intrinsic to a work's interpretation. This thesis proposes that the author of an artwork functions as a semiotic curator, collating signifiers from within these external categories in order to reflect their understanding of the world. Taking as a case study Nicholas Maw's 1976 score Life Studies - a piece described by the composer as being based on his own life - this experiential understanding of identity and self is explored through the lens of David Hume's bundle theory, where the unified experience of self is created through the collection of a series of perceptions. This thesis hypothesises that there are five key categories of perception that constitute Maw's artistic self in Life Studies: simulacra, narrative, design, agency, and nostalgia. Methodologically, these five areas - or rhizomes - are presented through a tripartite study, in an attempt to combine the three distinct disciplines which the philosopher Gilles Deleuze believed approached a holistic understanding of reality: philosophy, analysis, and - in the accompanying portfolio - composition (creativity).

Abstract:
The Egyptian music society flourished in the early twentieth century with the apparition of the reformist movements. The constitution of this society would with no doubt deeply leave its marks on the music landscape of the classicrepertoire. However, it is especially from the twenties and the thirties that an entire movement of young musicianswould try a new music of western inspiration. The Egyptian composer-singer Mohammad ‘Abd al-Wahhāb wellreflected this innovation movement through his style of music creation, varying between tradition and modernity, intertextuality and originality formalism and liberty. The repertoire of Mohammad ‘Abd al-Wahhāb is arepresentative example to study the first attempts of modernization appealing to a mixture with western music andturning upside down the parameters: syntax, aesthetics and style. The aim of our thesis is to detect the signs oftradition and modernity brought to the most authentic music form such as vocal improvisation layālī and mawwāl,taking as a basis a comparative analysis of the works of the great Masters who left their marks on the corpus of theEgyptian skilful music. This study will allow to extract the constants and the variants that determined the evolutionof the repertoire of the traditional music in post World War I and to study the process adopted by Mohammad ‘Abdal-Wahhāb to impose the renewal against conservatism by assuring the maintaining of the identity of the musicsystem

Abstract:
Bearing in mind the evolution of society, organizations have an extreme necessity to strengthen human resources in order to create a more harmonious internal environment which is conducive to success. This work aims to analyze the degree of motivation and engagement of PRM (Police of the Republic of Mozambique) officers in order to identify possible improvement solutions. This study was based on the theory of auto-motivation in organizational behavior, the Motivation at Work scale (MAWS) which was applied to 382 PRM police officers of the PRM. As expected, this study revealed that PRM members present positive motivational levels. In spite the inexistence of universal motivational strategies, this study emphasizes the importance of motivation in the organization, which has led us to formulate some orientations for action according to the different theoretical concepts, with the purpose of optimizing the job, as well as promoting the involvement and satisfaction of PRM members in the midst of their organization.

Abstract:
This chapter takes a look at Nicholas Maw’s The Voice of Love. It illustrates how this cycle rewards the careful study needed to master its difficulties, and represents the composer in his most compelling form. Such sumptuous vocal lines could seem to encourage a stream of warm, unvaried tone, but the eight movements give the singer the opportunity to display the widest possible range of mood, timbre, and character. In addition, Peter Porter's resonant texts are taken from a series of seventeenth-century love letters. The vocal writing is rich and powerful, and shows the influence of the Second Viennese School. Phrases are of a length to strengthen and exercise the voice.

Abstract:
The compression ring at a tank’s roof-shell junction has been designed using the API 620 [1] rules. The geometrical configuration of the ring is non-conventional compared to the typical shapes recommended in API 620. In order to verify the structural integrity of the roof-shell junction, a plastic FEA was conducted to establish the maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP) using a limit load analysis procedure. The FEA results indicated that the tank’s roof-shell junction’s MAWP is 18.7 psi which exceeds the calculated MAWP of 15 psi using the API 620 rules. This paper presents the comparisons of the MAWPs calculated using the API 620 rules and the plastic FEA.
