Namun ada beberapa bagian yang masih belum menerapkan sistem informasi. Maka perlu dilakukan perencanaan SI/TI yang tepat. Pengambilan data pada penelitian ini dengan wawancara dan observasi untuk mengetahui lingkungan bisnis dan sistem informasi perusahaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Ward And Peppard dengan analisis SWOT, Five Forces Porter dan McFarlan Strategic Grid. Penelitian ini menghasilkan rekomendasi strategi, memberikan Analisa lingkungan internal, eksternal sistem informasi perusahaan dan usulan sistem informasi. Yaitu Sistem Informasi Barang, Sistem Informasi Keuangan, Sistem Informasi Penjualan, Sistem Informasi Penggajian dan Sistem Informasi Kasir yang akan dipetakan menggunakan McFarlan Strategic Grid dan dapat di terapkan dalam tiga tahun kedepan.

Sebagai salah satu lembaga pendidikan tinggi, STMIK WICIDA terus berupaya untuk meningkatkan daya saing perguruan tinggi di tengah maraknya persaingan perguruan tinggi sejenis di Kalimantan Timur. Keunggulan kompetitif tidak hanya didapatkan melalui sumber daya manusia yang tangguh, finansial, dan manajemen tetapi juga bisa didapatkan melalui pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Untuk mendapatkan keunggulan kompetitif melalui pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, STMIK WICIDA harus mempunyai perancangan strategis sistem informasi, sehingga sejalan dengan visi, misi dan tujuannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan model IS/IT Strategic yang digagas oleh Ward dan Pepperd. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan tools PEST untuk analisis lingkungan eksternal, Value Chain untuk analisis lingkungan bisnis internal dan mcFarlan Strategic Grid untuk analisis lingkungan IS/IT internal. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini adalah rekomendasi perencanaan strategis sistem informasi pada STMIK WICIDA.

STIKOM Artha Buana Kupang merupakan perguruan tinggi yang sudah menerapkan sistem informasi dalam pengelolaannya,namu sistem informasi tersebut belum maksimal dalam mencapai keunggulan kompetitif. Sistem informasi yang ada digunakan untuk mengelola data dan belum maksimal digunakan sebagai alat strategis , oleh karena itu diperlukan perancangan strategis sistem informasi. Pembuatan perancangan strategis sistem informasi pada paper ini menggukan dua framework yaitu ward and peppard dan information engineering, analisis yang dilakukan dengan metode value chain, SWOT, PEST, five force factor dan mcfarlan grid. Setalah dilakukan analisis internal dan eksternal menghasilkan rancangan strategis sistem informasi dan portofolio sistem informasi dan yang terakhir adalah penyususnan roadmap penerapan sistem informasi untuk lima tahun kedepan berdasarkan hasil focus group discussion dan mcfarlan grid.

The role of information technology is very important for the progress of a company, by using information technology, strategic planning for the company's development will be better, some companies will definitely take advantage of information technology for the progress of their companies, this is also used for Toko baju Surabaya cabang Surakarta. This shop is a company engaged in the sale of clothing, this company uses the SmartConsole application to support sales. However, there are still sectors in this company that have not implemented an information system, one of which is in the section on stock data collection and payroll. Therefore, an appropriate IS / IT strategic planning is needed. This research was conducted using the Ward and Peppard method with SWOT analysis, Five Forces Porter, and McFarlan Strategic Grid. The output produced from this study is in the form of strategic recommendations from the results of the internal and external environmental analysis of the company's information system, as well as a proposal for an Information System to be mapped using the McFarlan Strategic Grid to be applied to companies in the next two years.

Background: Combining ketamine and propofol (ketofol) was suggested as a new concept for sedation and general anesthesia in pediatric populations for various conditions. The aim of the present study was to determine the effect of total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA) with propofol and ketofol on recovery after laparoscopic surgery in pediatric patients. Methods: Two hundred children with median age of 5 years who underwent laparoscopic surgery were randomized into two groups. Propofol 1% was used for induction and maintenance of anesthesia in group I, while ketamine-propofol combination (ketofol) was used in group II. Ketamine-propofol combination (ketofol) was prepared in the same applicator for group II. Ketofol ratios of 1:4 and 1:7 were used for induction and maintenance of anesthesia, respectively. A reduced McFarlan infusion dose was used in group I (1.2, 1.0, and 0.8 mL/kg/h for 15, 15, and 30 min, respectively), while a McFarlan infusion dose was used in group II (1.5, 1.3, and 1.1 mL/kg/h for 15, 15, and 30 min, respectively). Extubating time, duration of anesthesia, and length of stay in post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) were recorded. Results: Extubating time was significantly lower in the ketofol group than in the propofol group (240 s vs. 530 s; p < 0.00001). Significantly shorter duration of anesthesia (47 min vs. 60 min; p < 0.00001) as well as length of stay in the PACU (35 min vs. 100 min; p < 0.00001) were recorded in ketofol compared to the propofol group. Total fentanyl (100 µg (interquartile range, IQR 80, 125) vs. 50 µg (IQR 40, 60); p < 0.00001) and propofol (260 mg (IQR 200, 350) vs. 160 mg (IQR 120, 210); p < 0.00001) consumption per body weight were significantly lower in the ketofol group. Conclusions: TIVA with ketamine-propofol combination (ketofol) using a reduced McFarlan dose regimen shortened extubating time, duration of anesthesia, as well as length of stay in the PACU in pediatric anesthesia after laparoscopic surgery.

Summary Objectives: To diagnose the hospital information systems’ situation in Portugal. Methods: Developing a survey on HIS department heads. Results: Several weaknesses were identified in most HIS departments, such as substantial lackof people and of qualifications to deal with HIS challenges. The Nolan and McFarlan Matrix helped assess the SNS IS maturity at stage 3, characterized by the generalized lackof IS integration. Conclusions: The results are very relevant to explain the many delays (and conflicts) in implementing HIS and therefore the actual status of HIS in Portugal. The most successful cases of HIS implementation were recognized as related to the existence of an active CIO. Complexity theory can further define guidelines for the development of HIS that help keep the navigation towards “smart healthcare”.

Maka dari itu diperlukan perencanaan strategis sistem informasi dan teknologi informasi untuk mendukung keberhasilan visi, misi dan tujuan organisasi dibidang pendidikan khususnya kesehatan sehingga dapat meningkatkan kebutuhan dalam hal pengumpulan, penyimpanan dan pendistribusian informasi secara cepat. Penelitian ini menggunakan framework perencanaan strategis SI/TI ward and peppard, tahapan ini dimulai dari identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, analisa lingkungan eksternal bisnis dan SI/TI, analisa lingkungan internal bisnis dan SI/TI, menentukan strategi SI/TI meliputi penyusunan portfolio aplikasi, usulan infrastruktur hardware, software dan jaringan, usulan SDM IT dan melakukan Gap analysis. Pengembangan manajemen dan keorganisasian yang didukung dengan sistem informasi berbasis komputer merupakan instrumen strategis yang dibutuhkan dalam menghadapi era globalisasi pelayanan. Hal ini karena dukungan teknologi informasi dapat memudahkan pengambilan keputusan yang akurat, dapat dipercaya, cepat, dan ekonomis. Kebutuhan yang sama juga dialami oleh manajemen dan keorganisasian di lingkungan Departemen Agama, dan secara khusus Direktorat Penyelenggaraan Haji dan Umrah (Ditjen PHU). Sebagai contoh, pelaksanaan penyelenggaraan haji di Indonesia telah menggunakan perangkat pendukung sistem informasi berbasis komputer yang dikenal dengan Sistem Komputerisasi Haji Terpadu (SISKOHAT). Dengan mengamati tugas dan tanggung jawab serta ruang lingkup pekerjaan di lingkungan Ditjen PHU secara keseluruhan, maka kebutuhan yang mengarah pada perancangan strategis sistem informasi semakin mendesak. The same requirement is also experienced by the management and organization in the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and in particular the Directorate of Operation of Hajj and Umrah (DG PHU). For example, the implementation of the hajj operation in Indonesia has been using the computer-based information systems support, known as Haji Integrated Computerized Systems (SISKOHAT). By observing the duties and responsibilities and the scope of work within the Directorate General of PHU as a whole, the need for a strategic lead to the design of information systems is increasingly urgent. Namun untuk mendapatkan sistem informasi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan perusahaan, maka dibutuhkan suatu perencanaan strategis sistem informasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Ward And Peppard, alat bantu yang digunakan adalah analisis SWOT, analisis Value Chain, analisis McFarlan Strategic Grid, analisis Five Force Model Porter, analisis Critical Success Factor (CSF), dan analisis Balaced ScoreCard (BSC). Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini berupa rekomendasi portofolio sistem informasi yang dibutuhkan PT Mono Jaya guna meningkatkan daya saing perusahaan.

Untuk itu dibutuhkan suatu Perencanaan Strategis SI/TI yang terarah dan selaras dengan visi-misi perusahaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah framework Ward and Peppard. Tahapan awal dari penelitian ini adalah dengan menganalisis lingkungan bisnis dan lingkungan SI/TI internal dan eksternal perusahaan, seperti analisis SWOT, analisis Value Chain, analisis PEST dan analisis Porter’s Five Competitive Forces. Hasil dari penelitian adalah beberapa rekomendasi Sistem Informasi yang selaras dengan visi-misi dan kebutuhan perusahaan dengan dipetakan menggunakan matriks McFarlan Strategic Grid dan roadmap implementasi SI pada organisasi dalam jangka waktu empat tahun kedepan. Maman Elektronik Sokaraja has implemented SI / IT, but it is not evenly distributed in all fields. The uneven implementation of the business process is still not effective and efficient. The purpose of this research is to provide an IS / IT strategic plan so that it can assist in the implementation of the company's IS / IT so that it is more equitable. The method used in this research is the Ward and Peppard method which consists of a SWOT analysis, Value Chain, Five Force Model, McFarlan Strategic Grid. The results of the study that have been carried out have obtained a recommendation for the development of several applications such as SI Sale, SI Debt and Receivable, SI Purchase and SI Inventory. Some of the recommended apps, such as SI Sales Distributor, SI Accounting, SI Payroll, SI Attendance. The application is approved in stages over 4 (four) years according to company conditions. Developments in several SIs required several application plans to be implemented within four years.

The most important thing to plan SI / IT is understanding the current condition to initialize the business needs through SWOT and Critical Success Factors analysis. The analysis will generate McFarlan portfolio matrix to determine the required applications by dividing it into 4 quadrants: support, key operational, strategic and high potential. The result of this application portfolio planning is a list of required applications now, in the future and mapping each of the proposed applications based on each function or part of the organization. From that results is expected gradually all academic activities can be automated through the presentation of accurate information and up-to-date also able to provide one stop service for academic activities than it can reduce the operational costs to support academic activities.

Data were taken from interviewing and questionnaires that were ten managerial levels of 50 employees at PT EP-TEC Solutions Indonesia. The weight on the SWOT IFAS and EFAS matrix used a pairwise comparison method. The method applied descriptive method by using the Information System Strategic Planning framework from Ward and Peppard. The analytical tools used Porter’s Five Forces, PEST, SWOT, Value Chain, IT Balance Scorecard, and McFarlan Strategic Grid. The results of this research indicate that future application portfolio recommendation that supports SI business strategies, IS/IT management strategies, and IT strategies that can help PT EP-TEC Solutions Indonesia in achieving strategic goals. From these results, it can be concluded that there are several proposals for applications, security tools, profiles of knowledge and skills, and recommendations for IS/IT infrastructure that can be applied in the company.

Terkait hal tersebut, permasalahan yang kemudian menjadi isu penting diantaranya adalah potensi kerugian akibat ketidaksesuaian data stok di sistem inventori dengan stok aktual, serta prioritas pengembangan sistem informasi yang belum terencana dengan matang. Permasalahan tersebut mendorong perlu adanya perencanaan yang matang dan terukur untuk mencapai visi-misi perusahaan. Penelitian ini mengambil studi kasus PT. Gramedia Asri Media yang merupakan salah satu bisnis ritel terbesar di Indonesia. Alur metodologi dalam studi ini terdiri dari analisis bisnis internal, analisis lingkungan bisnis eksternal, analisis lingkungan SI/TI internal, dan analisis lingkungan SI/TI eksternal. The better the information runs, the wider the value increases. Related to that, some problems becoming important matter are potential losses due to the discrepancy of stock data in the inventory system with actual stock, and the priority of information systems development that have not been well planned as well. This situation encourages the need of measurable planning to achieve the company's vision and mission. This study took a case study of PT. Gramedia Asri Media, one of the largest retail business in Indonesia. The methodology applied in this study consists of external business analysis, internal business analysis, external IS/IT analysis, and internal IS/IT analysis. The methods assessed to analyze the internal business are the internal value chain, and the Critical Success Factor (CSF), while the PESTLE, five forces, and external value chain analyzes are applied to analyze the external business environment. Furthermore, the method used to analyze the internal environment of IS / TI is the McFarlan Portfolio, while the literature and observation studies are used to conduct analysis of the IT external environment. Assessing the Ward and Peppard methodology, an IS/IT roadmap is aligned with business needs and can be developed within 4 years.</em></p>

Analisa McFarlan Strategic Grid digunakan untuk memetakan aplikasi yang ada di DPPKA Kampar berdasarkan kategori yaitu support, Key Operational, Strategic dan High Potential. Melihat kondisi masalah tersebut maka dibutuhkan suatu perencanaan strategis SI/TI yang dapat mendukung proses bisnis pada organisasi (dalam hal ini Dispernaker) sedangkan perencanaan strategis sendiri merupakan proses bagaimana organisasi mencapai atau merealisasikan tujuannya. Untuk dapat menerapkan perencanaan strategis yang sesuai dengan organisasi tentu melalui sebuah penelitian. This research is an effort to build an information system strategic planning and application portfolio in the Virgina Aesthetic Company (Farina Beauty Clinic) that can provide optimal, well integrated and innovative contributions that can unite all supporting aspects in achieving clinical business strategies to increase its competitive value especially in health services.In preparing the information system strategic planning framework using the Ward and Peppard Model approach and in evaluating the elaboration of information systems strategic planning and business strategies using IT Balance Scorecard. Several analytical methods such as Value Chain Analysis, SWOT Analysis, PEST Analysis and Five Force Model Analysis are used to analyze internal and external business environments. Strategic Grid McFarlan Analysis is used to map the application portfolio. Planning Information Systems and Information Technology (SI/IT) is part of the Strategic Plan (Renstra) of an institution. Every institution or organization must have a framework for developing information systems and documentation that is adequate and in line with developing systems and technologies. A comprehensive and integrated strategic information system planning is needed by a supply and logistics institution, especially Arsenal with capacity as the Dissenlekal Task Force of the Indonesian Navy Headquarters (Mabesal) in the management of TNI AL Class V logistics. In general this research is a efforts in developing strategic IS/IT planning and identification of their needs at the Arsenal institution as UPT Dissenlekal Mabesal to be more optimal so that it can be integrated and support the strategic planning of logistics supplies within the Navy. The basic concept in this research begins with the preparation of the IS/IT Strategic Plan framework using the Ward and Peppard model approach, then in the evaluation process the translation of the Strategic Plan IS/IT and management of the institution's basic tasks using Balance Scorecard. Some analytical methods such as Value Chain Analysis, SWOT Analysis, PEST Analysis and Five Force Model Analysis are used to analyze the internal and external institutional environment. Next is the McFarlan Analysis Strategic Grid method that is used for application portfolio planning. The results of this research are the recommendations of the relevant IS/IT blue print strategic planning owned by Arsenal UPT Dissenlekal Mabesal and development priorities by referring to the institution's main task plan based on data obtained through the implementation of analytical methods. Highly variable productivity among Vaccinium macrocarpon (Ait.) Pursh `McFarlin' bogs in Washington has been noted by growers. The fruiting habits of 12 Washington `McFarlin' bogs, ranging from 5.7-28.4 t/ha productivity were characterized. Uprights from each bog were characterized using RAPD markers, and then used in a greenhouse pollination experiment to determine if variation in fruiting and fertility phenotypes could be associated with RAPD profiles. Fifteen RAPD profiles were identified, and genetic heterogeneity was high among the 12 bogs. An association between RAPD profiles and reproduction characteristics was observed. The most frequent (30%) RAPD profile appeared to represent the `true' `McFarlin', since it was abundant in higher-yielding bogs and its profile was identical to `McFarlin' samples from other growing regions. A unique RAPD profile was also identified which exhibited high yield characteristics, but did not appear to be related to `McFarlin'. The Washington `McFarlin' bogs examined are composed of a diverse array of genotypes with variable fruiting phenotypes, indicating the variability in production has a genetic component.

The cranberry cultivar `HcFarlin', selected from a natural bog in Massachusetts in 1874, has become the most widely grown cultivar in the Northwestern U.S.A. Washington state growers have noted variable productivity among `McFarlin' bogs. The determination of whether there is a genetic basis for the variability has been made difficult by a paucity of reliable morphological descriptors in cranberry. A random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) analysis of 45 clones sampled from 12 WA `McFarlin' bogs identified 17 unique RAPD profiles. Cluster analysis identified 7 groups having various numbers of distinct, but related individuals. Eight clones were found to have RAPD profiles identical to the cultivar `Howes' indicating varietal misclassification had occurred in some bogs. One group of clones that originated from bogs classified as “Good” or “True” Mcfarlin' by growers had RAPD profiles similar to those of representatives from WI and MA `Mcfarlin' bogs. RAPD analysis has shown that `McFarlin' is represented by several genotypes, suggesting that the observed variability in production may have a genetic component.

Black vine weevil (BVW), Otiorhynchus sulcatus (Coleoptera: Curculionidae, Fabricius), is a serious pest of cranberry, Vaccinium macrocarpon Ait. Larvae feed undetected within the soil and cause damage to roots and underground vines. We correlated damage caused by feeding larvae from known BVW egg densities. Two cultivars of potted cranberry vines, ‘Stevens’ and ‘McFarlin’, were inoculated with 0, 5, 10, 20, 40, and 80 eggs per pot. Root damage and canopy health were assessed. ‘Stevens’ exceeded ‘McFarlin’ in dry shoot weight, total shoot length, total leaf area, and dry root weight before egg treatments. Damage to underground vines increased with increasing egg density and more damage was found in ‘Stevens’ than ‘McFarlin’ at the highest egg densities. In August, plant water use and total shoot length in ‘McFarlin’ were significantly greater in plants treated with 0–5 eggs per pot compared with plants treated with 40–80 eggs per pot. The effect on total shoot length was more pronounced in October. ‘Stevens’ showed no response to increasing BVW density for up to 24 weeks. Destructive measurements showed decreased root weight in ‘McFarlin’ but not ‘Stevens’. Both cultivars showed a similar decrease in dry shoot weight, total shoot length, and percent green leaf area with increasing BVW egg density. Root damage increased as BVW egg density increased and this damage resulted in reduced plant water use for ‘McFarlin’. Reduced shoot growth and leaf area was recorded for both cultivars, although these effects were more apparent in ‘McFarlin’ and at an earlier stage than in ‘Stevens’.

Fairness Remains an Elusive Concept – Financial Provision on DivorceThe House of Lords in Miller and McFarlane sought to articulate principles which would enable the courts to exercise their discretionary powers under Part II of the Matrimonial Causes Act (MCA) 1973 in a consistent manner and provide a fair outcome for divorcing couples.The decision was greeted as a tour de force by some media sources, and as a gold diggers’ charter by others, for wives who abandoned, or were abandoned in, short-lived marriages. It has been variously described as just; groundbreaking; historic; principled; a landmark decision; a triumph for women; a disaster for wealthy men; and as a trigger for reform of the law relating to pre-nuptial agreements. A close analysis of the decision, however, suggests that some of these comments may be reflections of wishful hopes rather than reasoned responses to the actual reality of the judgment. Although it must be acknowledged that the House, on the basis of its construction of fairness, did take a significantly new approach to short marriages and to the purpose of periodical payments. The law relating to ancillary relief on divorce remains remarkably unchanged and problematic.

SynopsisThe current study investigated a model of post-trauma reactions proposed initially by McFarlane (1988 a). Two separate data sets, one obtained following a multiple shooting and the other reported by McFarlane following a natural disaster, were examined. The findings of both studies provide support for a cognitive processing conceptualization of the development of post-trauma reactions.
