The stress distribution and load-displacement behaviour of ground anchors has been studied using the finite element method. Different potential failure modes are investigated as a function of the orientation of the jointing pattern. The impact of two different caving locations on slope stability will be investigated: one where the cave is located under the toe of the slope, and a

Airborne disease transmission is a prominent problem facing an increasingly mobilized world. It involves small droplets (bioaerosols) containing pathogens which form in the lungs and are expelled to the environment, where they may persist in the air until inhaled by others.
