Abstract:
560 Background: Oxaliplatin is a third-generation platinum compound and a key agent for the management of colorectal cancer. Patients treated with oxaliplatin are at risk for hypersensitivity reactions. The incidence of severe anaphylactic reaction of oxaliplatin is estimated to be 0.5%, whereas the incidence of other hypersensitivity reactions in clinical practice is estimated to be 12% to 20%. We have reported that there is possibility that hypersensitivity reactions to oxaliplatin could have been prevented by co-infusion of dexamethasone (DEX) (Yoshida et al.2012 ASCO-GI, Yoshida et al, Br J Med Med Res 2012) but just in a small cohort. This study was undertaken to evaluate the effectiveness of co-infusion of DEX to oxaliplatin for controlling hypersensitivity reactions caused by the administration of oxaliplatin. Methods: A retrospective study of patients with advanced colorectal cancer who received XELOX was performed. The study included 101 patients who received XELOX or XELOX +bevacizumab therapy for advanced or recurrent colorectal cancer. In all the patients, oxaliplatin (130mg/m²) was administered in combination with DEX (6.6mg) via the peripheral vein. Results: A total of 101 patients were studied. Hypersensitivity reactions developed in 2 patients (1.98%).Respiratory symptoms, ocular symptoms and anaphylaxis were not observed in 101 patients. Two patients experienced cutaneous reaction (erythema). Grade 3 or higher hemotoxicity was noted in 13.9% of the patients, and grade 3 or higher nonhematological toxicity was noted in 17.8% of the patients. The response rate was 55.4%. Conclusions: Co-infusion of dexamethasone to oxaliplatin reduced oxaliplatin-related hypersensitivity reactions. This effective approach should be considered for all patients who receive XELOX, allowing treatment to be completed as planned. We have already started a new phase II trial to confirm the effects of DEX to prevent the hypersensitivity.

Abstract This study, conducted at DSM Beef Center, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, was designed to evaluate the effects of different starch levels in the diets associated to feed additives on performance of Nellore bulls. The experiment was designed as a completely randomized block, with a 3 x 2 factorial arrangement of treatments, in which 210 18-mo-old yearling Nellore bulls (375.8 ± 16.8 kg) were fed in 30 pens (n = 7/pen), for 90 d according to the treatments: 25% starch (Low-S) + monensin (MON, 26 mg/kg DM); 35% starch (Med-S) + monensin; 45% starch (High-S) + monensin; Low-S + Essential Oils and amylase (CR, Crina®, 90 mg/kg DM and RumistarTM, 560 mg/kg DM, DSM Nutritional products); Med-S + CR; High-S + CR. Each treatment was replicated five times. Weight assessments were performed at day 0 and 90 of the study after 14 h fasting. A significant interaction was observed for final BW (P = 0.04) and HCW (P = 0.01). Cattle fed Med-S and High-S diets containing CR had heavier carcasses than those fed Med-S + monensin (287.4 vs. 270.9 kg) and High-S + monensin (281.4 vs. 263.0 kg), respectively; however, bulls fed Low-S diets with either monensin or CR had similar HCW (P > 0.05, 279.9 vs. 282.8 kg, respectively). In addition, cattle fed CR had greater dressing percentage (P < 0.01; 55.4 vs. 54.6%) regardless of starch levels. An interaction was observed (P = 0.02) for ADG, in which cattle fed Med-S + CR had greater ADG (1.58 kg) than cattle fed MON across all starch levels (1.48, 1.37 and 1.28, respectively) and then those fed High-S + CR (1.48 kg/d; P < 0.01). Similar responses were observed for DMI (P = 0.02). Cattle fed monensin improved G:F in 2.7% compared to those fed CR (0.150 vs. 0.146, P = 0.02). In conclusion, Crina® and RumistarTM increases carcass production of feedlot cattle fed medium and high-starch diets.

Results presented in this paper show that removal of white-cell contaminations from human red blood cells by filtration through cellulose [Beutler, West & Blume (1976) J. Lab. Clin. Med. 88, 328-333] is a necessity whenever red cells are incubated at elevated temperatures or haemolysed after density separation. Omission of this precaution results in proteolysis of sialoglycoproteins in membranes from less-dense (young), but not dense (old), subpopulations. This proteolytic damage occurs during haemolysis of the cytoplasmic domain of glycophorin. A different type of proteolysis occurs if white-cell-contaminated red cells are incubated in the absence of glucose at elevated temperatures. Red cells release sialoglycopeptides. This process is stimulated by Ca2+ ions and is accompanied by the release of vesicles that differ from spectrin-free vesicles [Lutz, Liu & Palek (1977) J. Cell Biol. 73, 548-560]. This sialoglycopeptide release is dependent on white-cell contamination and is not required for the release of spectrin-free vesicles.

11085 Background: Gene-expression signatures were shown to be prognostic and predictive for breast cancer but their performances over time have not been investigated. Methods: Recurrence score (RS) of oncotype, 70-gene profile (SGP) of Mammaprint, intrinsic subtype (IS) and wound signature (WS) were analyzed using a single dataset of 295 samples from Fan et al. (Fan et al. N Engl J of Med 2006; 355:560–9). Time-varying coefficient Cox models were used to estimate the time-dependent hazard ratios (HR) for relapse-free survival (RFS). Annualized RFS hazard rates were estimated using cubic splines. Concordance between RS and SGP was calculated for different intrinsic subtypes in all 295 samples and was evaluated in a subset of 173 ER+ samples not in the training set of SGP for unbiased comparison. Results: For the high risk groups of RS, SGP, IS and WS, hazard rates peaked around the 2nd year from surgery and decreased rapidly over time. For the low risk groups, hazard rates also peaked around the 2nd yr but remained fairly constant over time. Hazard ratios of high vs. low risk groups of RS at yr 2, 5 and 10 were 17.0 (8.4–34.0), 4.0 (2.0–8.0), 1.7 (0.83–3.4). For intermediate vs. low risk groups of RS, the corresponding HRs were 2.7 (1.1–7.0), 5.0 (1.1–7.4), 1.6 (0.63–4.2). Poor vs. good groups of SVP had HRs of 7.4 (4.5–12.1), 3.6 (2.2–5.9), 2.0 (1.2–3.3) at yr 2, 5, 10. HRs of Luminal B (LB), Basal-like (BL), HER2/ER- (HER2), Normal-like (NL) vs. Luminal A (LA) of Intrinsic Subtypes were 6.8 (4.0–11.5), 5.7 (3.2–10.0), 7.6 (4.0–14.1) and 1.7 (0.9–3.3) at yr 2. HRs at yr 5 were 4.0 (2.3–6.8), 0.7 (0.4–1.2), 1.1 (0.6–2.0) and 2.3 (1.2–4.4) respectively. For WS, HRs at yr 2, 5, 10 were 6.3 (3.3–11.9), 2.9 (1.6–5.6) and 2.2 (1.2–4.1) respectively. Concordance rates of RS and SVP were 1.0, 0.91, 0.86, 0.72 and 0.62 for BL, HER2, LB, LA, NL of Intrinsic Subtypes. In 173 ER+ samples not present in the SGP training set, concordance rate between RS and SVP was 0.77 (Cramer's V = 0.56); the same as in the whole set of 225 ER+ patients (Fan et al. N Engl J of Med 2006; 355:560–9). Conclusions: Prognostic values of gene-expression signatures decrease over time. They can best predict breast cancer relapse during the first 5 years. Concordance between RS and SPV is highest in the basal-like tumors and lowest in the Luminal B and Normal-like subtypes. No significant financial relationships to disclose.

Sammanfattning

De flesta missbrukare i vårt samhälle lider även av psykisk ohälsa. Undersökningens syfte var

att skapa förståelse och kunskap om hur personal inom socialtjänst, psykiatri och

behandlingshem uppfattar arbetet, de olika rollerna och samverkan i behandling av dessa

individer. Den hermeneutiska vetenskapstraditionen låg som grund för studien och

semistrukturerade intervjuer användes som undersökningsmetod. I litteraturdelen behandlades

bl.a. förklaringsmodeller till och förekomst av dubbeldiagnos samt behandlingsmodeller. I

resultatet framkom att vilja till samarbete mellan de tre aktörerna finns, men mer samarbete

finns att önska. De främsta hindren till välfungerande samarbete bottnar i olika traditioner och

synsätt vilka orsakas främst av brister i kommunikation och dialog på organisatorisk nivå.

Dessa brister syns även bland personalen närmast klienten. Samarbete som visat sig fungera

bygger på samverkan kring individens hela livssituation. Långsiktighet, kontinuitet och helhet

i behandling av missbrukare med psykisk ohälsa är nödvändigt.

Abstract:

Syftet med föreliggande studie har varit att undersöka vad unga arbetslösa med utomeuropeisk bakgrund anser om sin situation och sina framtidsmöjligheter, för att få en ökad förståelse om deras situation och upplevelser.

Undersökningen har byggt på kvalitativa samtalsintervjuer med sex respondenter med utomeuropeisk härkomst i åldrarna 16-25. Studien har utgått från en hermeneutisk ansats och analysen har byggt på tidigare forskning samt socialpsykologiska teorier.

Resultaten visar att individerna upplever att de står utanför samhället och dess sociala medborgarskap pga. avsaknaden av ett arbete samt att de anser sig stämplad en negativ social identitet av samhället, både i arbetslivet och på fritiden, vilket följaktligen bidragit till social exklusion och sämre förutsättningar till erhållandet av arbete. Därtill framkommer det en efterlysning från dessa individer av en annorlunda individanpassad arbetssätt för minoritetsgrupper med handläggare med kulturkompetens, för att följaktligen skapa bättre förutsättningar till arbete för dem.

Abstract:
Introduzione L’efficacia dei chemio/radioterapici ha aumentato notevolmente l’aspettativa di vita delle pazienti oncologiche, tuttavia, questi trattamenti possono compromettere la funzionalità ovarica. La crioconservazione di tessuto ovarico, con il successivo reimpianto, ha lo scopo di preservare la fertilità delle pazienti a rischio di fallimento ovarico precoce. Scopo dello studio Definire la migliore procedura di crioconservazione e reimpianto in grado di ottenere la neovascolarizzazione del tessuto reimpiantato nel minor tempo possibile al fine di diminuire la perdita follicolare causata dall’ischemia durante la procedura. Materiali e metodi Per ciascuna paziente (3) le biopsie ovariche, sono state prelevate laparoscopicamente e crioconservate secondo il protocollo di congelamento lento/scongelamento rapido. Campioni di corticale ovarica sono stati processati per l’analisi istologica, ultrastrutturale, immuistochimica e confocale per valutare la preservazione morfologiaca del tessuto. Le fettine di corticale ovarica sono state scongelate e reimpiantate ortotopicamente (2), nelle ovaia e in due tasche peritoneali, o eterotopicamente (1), in due tasche create nel sottocute sovrapubico. Risultati Le analisi di microscopia hanno mostrato il mantenimento di una discreta morfologia dello stroma, e dei vasi criopreservati e un lieve ma non significativo danneggiamento dei follicoli scongelati. Tutte le pazienti hanno mostrato la ripresa della funzionalità endocrina rispettivamente dopo 2/4 mesi dal reimpianto. Il color-doppler, inoltre ha rivelato un significativo aumento della vascolarizzazione ovarica rispetto alla quasi totale assenza di vascolarizzazione prima del reimpianto, quando le pazienti mostravano una conclamata menopausa. Conclusioni Lo studio ha confermato la ripresa della vascolarizzazione dell’ovaio in seguito a reimpianto avascolare di fettine di corticale, senza l’impiego di fattori esogeni o meccanici aggiuntivi, in tempi concordanti con i dati della letteratura. I risultati sono incoraggianti e l’avanzare degli studi e della ricerca potranno contribuire allo sviluppo di nuove metodologie di reimpianto che possano avere un successo clinico ed una sicurezza superiori a quelle finora ottenute.
Recent advances in the diagnosis and the introduction of new protocols of chemo/radiotherapy have significantly increased the survival rate of oncological patients. However, these treatments are gonadotoxic and can severely affect the reproductive potential of patients. Ovarian tissue cryopreservation represents a valid strategy to preserve reproductive function and steroidogenic activity in patients with a high risk of POF. The aim of this procedure is to reimplant cryopreserved ovarian cortical strips allowing the recovering of vascularization and ovarian function. Biopsies samples were laparoscopically removed from both ovaries (3 oncological patients) and frozen according to the slow freezing rapid thawing protocol. Samples of ovarian cortex were processed for histological, ultrastructural, confocal and immuistochimica analysis, to evaluate the morfologiacal tissue preservation. The slices of ovarian cortex were thawed and replanted orthotopically (2), in the ovary and in two peritoneal pockets, or eterotopically (1), in two pockets created in the suprapubic subcutaneous tissue. The microscopy analysis have shown maintenance of a discrete morphology of the cryopreserved stroma, and vessels and a slight but not significant damage to the thawed follicles. All patients showed the resumption of endocrine function respectively after 2/4 months after planting. The color-doppler, also revealed a significant increase in ovarian blood flow compared to the almost total absence of vascularization before replanting, when the patients showed n menopause. The study has confirmed the recovery of the vascularization of the ovary after avascular replanting of cortical slices slices, without the use of exogenous factors , in times consistent with the literature data. The results are encouraging and advancing studies and research will contribute to the development of new methods of reimplant that may have better clinical success and security than those obtained.

Abstract:
Pancreatic islet transplantation represents a fascinating procedure that, at the moment, can be considered as alternative to standard insulin treatment or pancreas transplantation only for selected categories of patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus. Among the factors responsible for leading to poor islet engraftment, hypoxia plays an important role. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) were recently used in animal models of islet transplantation not only to reduce allograft rejection, but also to promote revascularization. Currently adipose tissue represents a novel and good source of MSCs. Moreover, the capability of adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs) to improve islet graft revascularization was recently reported after hybrid transplantation in mice. Within this context, we have previously shown that hyaluronan esters of butyric and retinoic acids can significantly enhance the rescuing potential of human MSCs. Here we evaluated whether ex vivo preconditioning of human ASCs (hASCs) with a mixture of hyaluronic (HA), butyric (BU), and retinoic (RA) acids may result in optimization of graft revascularization after islet/stem cell intrahepatic cotransplantation in syngeneic diabetic rats. We demonstrated that hASCs exposed to the mixture of molecules are able to increase the secretion of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), as well as the transcription of angiogenic genes, including VEGF, KDR (kinase insert domain receptor), and hepatocyte growth factor (HGF). Rats transplanted with islets cocultured with preconditioned hASCs exhibited a better glycemic control than rats transplanted with an equal volume of islets and control hASCs. Cotransplantation with preconditioned hASCs was also associated with enhanced islet revascularization in vivo, as highlighted by graft morphological analysis. The observed increase in islet graft revascularization and function suggests that our method of stem cell preconditioning may represent a novel strategy to remarkably improve the efficacy of islets-hMSCs cotransplantation.

Abstract:
L’infiammazione cronica è un fattore di rischio di insorgenza del cancro, e la citochina infiammatoria IL-6 gioca un ruolo importante nella tumorigenesi. In questo studio abbiamo dimostrato che L’IL-6 down-regola l'espressione e l'attività di p53. In linee cellulari umane, IL-6 stimola la trascrizione dell’rRNA mediante espressione della proteina c-myc a livello post-trascrizionale in un meccanismo p38MAPK-dipendente. L'up-regolazione della biogenesi ribosomiale riduce l'espressione di p53 attraverso l'attivazione della via della proteina ribosomale-MDM2. La down-regolazione di p53 produce l’acquisizione di modifiche fenotipiche e funzionali caratteristiche della epitelio mesenchimale di transizione, un processo associato a trasformazione maligna e progressione tumorale. I nostri dati mostrano che questi cambiamenti avvengono anche nelle cellule epiteliali del colon di pazienti affetti da colite ulcerosa, un esempio rappresentativo di una infiammazione cronica soggetta a trasformazione neoplastica, che scompaiono dopo trattamento con farmaci antinfiammatori. Questi risultati svelano un nuovo effetto oncogenico indotto dall’IL-6 che può contribuire notevolmente ad aumentare il rischio di sviluppare il cancro non solo in pazienti con infiammazioni croniche, ma anche in quei pazienti con condizioni patologiche caratterizzate da elevato livello di IL-6 nel plasma, quali l'obesità e e il diabete mellito di tipo 2.
Chronic inflammation is an established risk factor of the onset of cancer, and the inflammatory cytokine IL-6 has been proved to play a role in tumorigenesis. Here we showed that IL-6 down-regulates the expression and activity of the tumor suppressor p53. In human cell lines, IL-6 enhanced rRNA transcription by stimulating c-myc protein expression at post-transcriptional level in a p38MAPK-dependent manner. The up-regulated ribosome biogenesis reduced the p53 expression through the activation of the ribosomal protein-MDM2 degradation pathway of p53. The p53 down-regulation induced cells to acquire phenotypic and functional changes characteristic of the epithelial-mesenchymal transition, a process associated with malignant transformation and tumor progression. We found that these changes also occurred in the colon epithelial cells of patients with ulcerative colitis, a very representative example of a chronic inflammation prone to neoplastic transformation, and disappeared after treatment with anti-inflammatory drugs. These findings unraveled a new IL-6 induced oncogenic effect which can greatly contribute to increase the risk to develop cancer not only in patients with chronic inflammations, but also in patients with those pathological conditions which are characterized by high IL-6 plasma level, such as obesity and type-2 diabetes mellitus.

I virus tumorali inducono oncogenesi nel loro ospite naturale o in sistemi animali sperimentali, manipolando diverse vie cellulari. Ad oggi, sono stati identificati sette virus capaci di causare specifici tumori umani. Inoltre HPV, JCV ed SV40, sono stati associati con un grande numero di tumori umani in sedi corporee non convenzionali, ma, nonostante molti anni di ricerca, nessuna eziologia virale è stata ancora confermata. Lo scopo di questo studio è stato di valutare la presenza ed il significato sia di JCV ed SV40 in tumori ossei umani, e di HPV nel carcinoma della mammella (BC), galattoforectomie (GF), secrezioni mammarie patologiche (ND) e glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). Tecniche di biologia molecolare sono state impiegate per esaminare campioni di tessuto tumorale di 70 tumori ossei (20 osteosarcomi [OS], 20 tumori a cellule giganti [TCG], 30 condrosarcomi [CS]), 168 BCs , 30 GFs, 59 GBM e 30 campioni di ND. Il genoma di SV40 e JCV è stato trovato nel 70% dei CS + 20% degli OS, e nel 13% dei CS +10% dei TCG, rispettivamente. Il DNA di HPV è stato rilevato nel 30% dei pazienti con BC, nel 27% dei campioni GF e nel 13% dei NDs. HPV16 è stato il genotipo maggiormente osservato in tutti questi campioni, seguito da HPV18 e HPV35. Inoltre, il DNA di HPV è stato trovato nel 22% dei pazienti con GBM, in questo tumore HPV6 era il tipo più frequentemente rilevato, seguito da HPV16. L’ ISH ha mostrato che il DNA di HPV è situato all’interno di cellule tumorali mammarie e di GBM. I nostri risultati suggeriscono un possibile ruolo di JCV, SV40 e HPV in questi tumori, se non come induttori come promotori del processo neoplastico, tuttavia diversi criteri devono ancora essere soddisfatti prima di chiarirne il ruolo.
Tumor viruses induce oncogenesis in their natural host or in experimental animal systems by manipulating an array of different cellular pathways. To date, seven human viruses have been identified to cause or contribute to specific human cancers. Furthermore some viruses such as HPV, JCV and SV40, have been associated with a large number of human cancers in non conventional body sites; but, in spite of many years of research, no viral etiology have been confirmed for these tumors. The aim of this study was to evaluate the presence and significance of both JCV and SV40 in human bone tumors, and HPV in breast carcinoma (BC), galactophorectomy (GF), pathological nipple discharge (ND) and glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). Molecular biology techniques (PCR) and chromogenic in situ hybridization (ISH) were employed to examine specimens of tumor tissue from 70 bone tumors (20 Osteosarcomas[OS], 20 Giant Cell Tumors [TCG], 30 Condrosarcomas [CS]), 168 BCs, 30 GFs, 59 GBMs and 30 specimens of ND. SV40 and JCV genomes were found in70% of CS + 20% of OS, and in 13% of CS +10% of TCG, respectively. HPV DNA was detected in 30% of BC patients, in 27% of GF specimens and in 13% of NDs. HPV16 was the most common type observed in all these samples, attended by HPV18 and HPV35. In addition, HPV DNA was found in 22% of patients with GBM; in this tumor HPV6 was the most frequent type detected, followed by HPV16. ISH data showed that HPV DNA was located in breast and GBM tumor cells. Our results suggest a possible role of JCV, SV40 and HPV in the induction of these different tumors. However, detection of viruses in human tumors does not prove that they cause those malignancies. Several different criteria need to be met before viral etiology could be established.

Abstract:

Syftet med uppsatsen är att få en uppfattning om hur andra funderar kring begreppet ”ondska”. Är ondskan en reell företeelse eller ett moraliskt/religiöst/etiskt/filosofiskt problem? Kan vi se det svarta i livet hos oss själva eller tycker vi att det är ”dom andra” som är onda? Har vi behov av att se ondskan personifierad? Blir den lättare att hantera då? Det här är några av de frågor jag ställde mig inför arbetet.

Frågorna jag hade inför arbetet har mina informanter svarat på genom sina egna funderingar. Ondskan är en reell företeelse för Kurt och Ove. Ove är den som är tydligast på den punkten. Kurt är litet mer svävande och ger sina åsikter både ur en religiös och ur en profan synvinkel. När han talar ur en religiös synvinkel är han bestämd att djävulen står för det enbart onda och att den onda makten är en verklig företeelse. När han talar ur en allmänmänsklig synvinkel är ondskan mer relativ och grundar sig på omdöme, moral och etik. Karl och Kitty är helt på det klara med att ondskan är ett moraliskt, etiskt problem.

Skuggproblematiken är tydlig hos tre av informanterna. Kitty säger att hon tror att det är väldigt vanligt att människor behöver syndabockar att skylla på eftersom det får dem att känna sig så bra själva. Ove talar om människor som har ”dålig vägledning” och att det kan få dom att utföra onda handlingar. Hans rekommendation är att alla gör som han och börjar studera Bibeln eftersom det är där man kan finna ”sanningen” och den ”rätta” vägen. Karl säger, när han talar om terrorism, att han vuxit upp under en tid då man fått lära sig att terrorism är något som förekommer i arabvärlden och att han har större förståelse för väst eftersom han är kulturellt närmre dom som ”har kapacitet att fälla bomber från flygplan”. Kurt uttrycker att det är relativt, vad som är gott och ont, och att man måste se till målet när man bedömer en handling, vilket skulle kunna ses som en skuggprojektion när han samtidigt säger att självmordsbombaren utför en ond handling. I och med det har han underkänt mannens skäl till bombdådet och som en konsekvens skulle man kunna säga att med ett annat mål skulle samma handling inte vara ond. Jag får trots detta hela tiden ett intryck av att han medvetet anstränger sig att se problemen ur så många synvinklar som möjligt.

Självkännedomens väg, eller som Jung kallar den individuationsprocessen, är nog den väg vi måste gå om vi skall ha en möjlighet att komma tillrätta med ondskans problem. Det krävs en förändring av människan och i och med att denna förändring äger rum kommer också samhällen att förändras. Det krävs insikt och förnuft och en förståelse för vårt eget sammansatta psyke och att detta är en realitet oavsett vilken kontext vi befinner oss i.

This research focus on key groups; students with dyslexia, librarians and teachers, and interaction between these two professional groups regarding students with dyslexia. In searching for the exchange of knowledge and experience to meet dyslexic students needs, I have in this study turned the attention to librarians and their experiences with students with dyslexia.The purpose of the research has been through semi-structured qualitative interviews with four librarians, to explore and describe how they experience their work, in working with pupils with severe reading and writing problems, dyslexia, and interaction with teachers on this user group. The qualitative approach in the gathering of the empirical evidence is based on a desire to have an indepth and thoroughly understanding of the librarians experience.All informants in this study indicate that they see it as a natural part of their duty to keep themselves updated about dyslexia and what materials to suit the dyslexic user group. The informants have knowledge of dyslexia and have great knowledge and keep abreast on the latest technology of compensatory aids - alternative tools.The informants have primary a consulting and supply function for teachers and dyslexic students, where they are consulted on  suitable material in both fiction and facts in various disciplines. The informants highlights the importance of planning and preparation time to find suitable material, as audio books or easy read, so students who have a need for this also can be provided. They also have a major role in seeking information, then todays school is very demanding on the students to seek information themselves. The informants experience is that this requirement pose serious difficulties for dyslexic students.There is some discrepancy in the informants role depending on the library that they are employed at, where assignments and resources are of importance. Interaction between teacher and librarian occurred in a greater proportion with the secondary scool librarians than with the municipal and city librarian. Secondary school libraries are direct target at school activities and assignments and secondary school librarians are situated in school. They have transparency and participation in school activities, facilitating the work to catch up and assist the dyslexic students needs, as well as interaction with teachers and school staff.The informants desire greater interaction and requested guidance to specify their work both on their own behalf, but above all to be clear externally. Since their experience is that teachers have little knowledge of what the library and the librarian may contribute with as resource in general and in particular for students with dyslexia and compensatory aids. This was particular the teachers who are referred to the municipal and city library, ie. those teachers who do not have the librarian in their immediate vicinity. The informants request more knowledge from the teachers regarding librarian skills to utilise the libraries potential as a collaboration partner.

I dagens samhälle har den tekniska utvecklingen gått snabbt framåt. Det krävs i stort sett i de flesta yrken att man har en god datorvana. Som blivande bildlärare vill jag se hur man kan arbeta med att föra in datorn i bildämnet. Att arbeta med datorstödd undervisning i bildämnet är något som både kursplan och läroplan förespråkar. Mot bakgrund av detta har jag intervjuat tre stycken lärare på olika skolor som berättar om hur de gör för att arbeta med datorn i sin undervisning. Två av dem arbetar på grundskolans senare åldrar och den tredje på ett estetiskt inriktat gymnasieprogram. Den litteratur jag använt som bakgrund till mitt arbete belyser de fördelar som datorstödd undervisning kan ge, samt även de hinder och problem som kan uppstå. I mitt resultat efter intervjuundersökningen kom jag fram till att man som lärare inte alltid behöver besitta mest kunskap då det gäller datorer. Det finns mycket kunskap hos eleverna som man kan använda. Det kom även fram att man kan klara sig på relativt liten utrustning beroende på hur man lägger upp sin undervisning. Då det gäller det pedagogiska upplägget av undervisningen så arbetade dessa lärare genom att blanda analoga och digitala tekniker.

The lack of labeled exemplars is an important factor that makes the task of multimedia event detection (MED) complicated and challenging. Utilizing artificially picked and labeled external sources is an effective way to enhance the performance of MED. However, building these data usually requires professional human annotators, and the procedure is too time-consuming and costly to scale. In this paper, we propose a new robust dictionary learning framework for complex event detection, which is able to handle both labeled and easy-to-get unlabeled web videos by sharing the same dictionary. By employing the lq-norm based loss jointly with the structured sparsity based regularization, our model shows strong robustness against the substantial noisy and outlier videos from open source. We exploit an effective optimization algorithm to solve the proposed highly non-smooth and non-convex problem. Extensive experiment results over standard datasets of TRECVID MEDTest 2013 and TRECVID MEDTest 2014 demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed framework on complex event detection.

Resumen: El escrito recoge la experiencia vital de Le Corbusier en su humilde barraca del Cap Martin, el lugar donde el arquitecto establece su particular pacto con la naturaleza, y finalmente con la vida. La cabaña se construye en 1952 como habitación anexa al chiringuito que regenta Robert Rebutato, fontanero en Niza, pescador, al que Le Corbusier conoce de sus anteriores estancias en la E 1027. En los años siguientes el arquitecto va apropiándose del lugar: L’Étoile de Mer, su terraza, el algarrobo, la barraca de obra. Es el Mediterráneo, pero también la amistad con el pescador, lo que le ligarán a este lugar hasta el día de su fallecimiento en las rocas. De esta relación son muestra varias pinturas murales, entre ellas la que retrata a los dos amigos “À l’Étoile de Mer règne l’amitié”. Este paraje es también objeto de proyectos edificatorios del arquitecto, entre ellos la serie Roq et Rob o las Unités de Vacances. A cambio de una gran cuña de terreno que incluye la cabaña del arquitecto, éste entrega las Unités de Camping a Robert. Se convierte en propietario de una extensión de rocas para no construir nada, mantener el paisaje intacto y así proteger su soledad. Abstract: The text reflects the life experience of Le Corbusier in his humble hut of Cap Martin, where he establishes its particular pact with the nature, that finally becomes a pact with his life. The cottage was built in 1952 as an attached room to the snack bar that runs Robert Rebutato, plumber in Nice, fisherman, who met Le Corbusier during his stays in the E 1027. In the following years the architect endorses the site: L'Étoile Mer, its terrace, the carob tree and the work shed. It is the Mediterranean, but also the friendship with the fisherman, which will bind him to this place, until the day of his death on the rocks. This relationship is shown in several murals, including the portraying of the two friends "À l'Étoile de Mer règne l'amitié". The architect works too on some projects in this place: Roq et Rob and Unités de Vacances series. In these last ones Le Corbusier found to stay during his visits to the coast, but after the death of Yvonne in 1957, he chooses not to carry out their projects, and keep staying at Le Cabanon, the minimal cell room, parasitized to L’Étoile de Mer. He decides not to occupy the territory, keeping virgin it, building the minimum to maintain the maximum empty. Some drawings attest to the exchange of properties between Le Corbusier and Rebutato. In exchange to a large wedge of land that includes the cabin, the architect deliveries the Unités de Camping to Robert. So he becomes owner of an extension of rocks where isn’t possible to build anything, in the way to keep the landscape intact and protect its loneliness. Abstract:
The 200 MWth nuclear heat reactor II (NHR200-II) is a typical integral pressurized water reactor (iPWR) being developed by the institute of nuclear and new energy technology (INET) in Tsinghua university. The NHR200-II, which has inherent safety features such as full-range natural circulation, passive residual heat removal, self-pressurization and control rod hydraulically driving, can be adopted as a clean base-load energy source for a sea-water desalination plant having the process of multi-effect desalination with thermal vapor compression (MED-TVC). Dynamic modelling of the sea-water desalination plant coupled by the NHR200-II and MED-TVC is necessary for the design of its plant control strategy, which is important for the stable and efficient operation. In this paper, a lumped parameter dynamic model of NHR200II-based sea-water desalination plant with the process of MED-TVC is proposed based upon the conservation laws of mass, momentum and energy. The modeling verification in both the steady-state and open-loop dynamic-state are given, which show the suitability of applying this model for control system design. Finally, the closed-loop responses in the case of power-level maneuver from 100% to 50% full power is given.
