Full textWe studied the teacher's practices, in primary school, in the numerical field of mathematics. We gathered 74 protocols that we during our observations into the classrooms. We classified these protocols in three conceptual fields, referring to Vergnaud : additive structures, arithmetic and numeration, and multiplicative structures. We analysed the teacher's mediation in connection with elements of the conceptualisation, enter in the composition of three parts in very closely interactive : the "learning time", "the teaching time" and "the development time". We come to a classification showing eight different "mediation styles". Styles based on the knowledge trasmission. Styles call up the use of guiding forms referring to Bruner's "supporting functions", in the processes of tutelage's interaction. Styles make use of guiding forms and setting up problem's devolution for the pupils. Styles bring to an organisation following several phases in which functions in knowledge are different, with problem's devolution for the pupils, close to the situations described by Brousseau. We think that it's possible to rely upon these classification elements to propose alternatives in the teacher's practices

Full textWhen dealing with the discontinuity and heterogeneity of museum communication (which is essential and not at all accidental), the broad spectrum of the positions adopted by the actors of mediatization who are involved in the processes is substantial. This thesis examines the manner in which these actors (i.e. those working in museums and those collaborating with them) anticipate complex interactions and seek to guarantee their place on the continuum of heritage interpretation in order to pursue their respective projects. This thesis was possible thanks to a CIFRE grant and was undertaken within a service provider for museums called Mazedia. In this context of relatively significant institutional instability, its aim is to focus on the reliance on digitized media and, more precisely, on architexts, that is, writing tools which condition the writing (and, as a result, the reading) of others. In a process which is situated at an intersection between media and mediation semiology and political economy of communication, two architexts are analyzed in detail, DMA Friends (conceived by the Dallas museum of Art) and Wezit (conceived by Mazedia) respectively. The first was chosen on account of the way it illustrates a process of architextualisation of museum evaluation (apprehended as practices scripturalization). The second deals with a process of the architextualization of practices of transmedia interpretation writing. It is in an exploratory perspective that this thesis examines the possible articulation between these two processes and the manner in which the latter is susceptible to reconfigure the way heritage mediation can operate when it relies on the use of digitized media

Full textMartial art included in a sino-japanese and bouddhist tradition, karate is a living intangible heritage. From different schools of karate style, Grandmasters perpetuate practices on one hand ensuring succession and secondly by controlling their admissible forms. The purpose of this thesis focused on the terms and conditions under which the intercultural mediation of the practices karate took place in the globalization context and under the effect of time and of the Masters.Four additional studies were provided. 1) The preliminary study reproduced the socio-historical macrocontext of the karate migration paths played by teachers and schools. 2) The ethnographic approach of Japanese trainings (five remarkable dojos) described and modeled the original practices facing reconfigured forms. 3) The contrastive approach of grandmasters speech in their life stories (N interviewed = 4 Japanese + 4 French) was processed by a content analysis. 4) The micro-study of respiratory kata Tenshô allowed to reach the anthropo-cultural dimension of karate facing shared invariants with other Japanese arts heritage. Results showed that the intercultural mediation of practices between Japan and France generated new forms of education that took a highly contextualized cultural meaning. The anthropo-didactic dimension of karate teaching was identified so as to question the intercultural mediation terms in the perspective of a dialogue with otherness

Full textTwo forms of mediation - inter or intrapersonal - are considered. This notion refers to the same concept based on individual, interiorised processes which are indissolubly linked with the cognitive education. It induces changes in cognititve/affective structure. It adjusts cognitive and social construction to a certain scale of ideas and valuesconcerning Manking. We can work out a conceptualization on Mediation. It will entail in pedagogy a set of practices for solving new problems in learning or socialization, arising in today' school

Full textThis dissertation is concerned with a longitudinal study of a computer network technology referred to as the Commotion wireless MESH software, and the assemblages of actants that come into contact with it (such as people, objects, organizations, discourses, etc.). I argue that this apparatus produces different versions of itself that uniquely relates the concepts of agency, infrastructure and the Commons because it explicitly claims to be both technical and political within different socio-historical folds. By assuming such an overt political stance, it invites us to think through the notion of mediation in a new light (infrastructural mediation). My research methods reflect different interpretations of this software by seeking to understand whether this wireless mesh network technology represents a compromise solution to redefining the forces that constitute telecommunications infrastructure and its hold on the social bond. To do so, my dissertation expands on a particular ethnographic path which, “by the middle”, attempts to understand the ways in which the existence of a socio-technical system is established. I argue that the establishment of a socio-technical apparatus does not amount to pulling it out of thin air, but rather to make it become what it is. The findings reflect the successive trials and errors that go into this process of developing a sociotechnical and mediatic form that has yet to be recognized, while also shoring up the constitutive elements of a mediation process between the Commons and telecommunications infrastructure

Full textThe keen interest in Japanese works in France triggered our questioning. Through this research in science of information and communication, we propose to study the process of legitimization and mediation of the manga in France. In their country of origin, mangas come from remote pictorial and graphic techniques, but only take their current form after World War II, thanks to one mangaka: Osamu Tezuka. Even though mangas are perfectly integrated in Japanese culture, the situation is quite different in our country. Thus, we will come back on the building of the process of legitimization of the manga in France through a study of the publications from two selected periodicals. The diachronic approach enables us to come back on the different steps of the manga introduction in France, since the arrival of one of the first cartoons on television in 1978: Goldorak. We will then put the emphasis on the readers’ practises, through a qualitative study. The reception survey gives us a better understanding of the diversity of the practices, the process of constructing meaning by the readers, and how they made manga their own over time. Far from the representation of a withdrawn reader, our study demonstrates that there is diversity in the involvement and practices of the readers, as well as a social dimension associated to the reading. This approach highlights the mechanisms of manga mediation, from a personal as well as from a social point of view

Full textThe research aims to contribute to the socio-economic development of societies. Studies show that the distance between scientists and the rest of society makes science difficult to reach. Similarly, it has been shown that mediation, acting as an intermediary, would serve to reduce this distance and facilitate the sharing of discoveries. Several works are devoted to this in developed countries. However, in Africa, work on scientific mediation is little known or nonexistent. In the Republic of Guinea, there are few mechanisms for mediating scientific productions and the forms of their circulation remain unknown. Based on a qualitative approach, the aim here, was to understand how research works in this country. The analysis of a corpus of journals has identified obstacles and highlighted a fledgling mediation based on the practices of researchers who need recognition and who try to participate in the development of the country

Full textThis thesis concerns the digital practices and uses of self-quantification. The quantified-self movement first appeared in 2007 in Silicon Valley, but in a few years these practices have evolved rapidly to converge on digital health technologies. If it appears from the scientific and academic literature, that they constitute a contemporary form of biopower (Lupton, 2016) and that they carry many hopes in the field of health, they are however not questioned, neither from the perspective of the anthropological changes they introduce in the coupling between body and physiological digital data (Simondon, 1958, Boullier, 2011; Sadin, 2013), nor from the self-quantification technologies models point of view mainly based on behaviorist approaches, favoring persuasion rather than meaning. This lack of thinking raises many ethical questions about how to design a technology, especially when it comes to the health of individuals (Lupton, 2013; 2016).In this perspective, this thesis pursuit a dual purpose. The first is to provide a comprehensive perspective on the digital self-quantification practices. The second objective relates to the instrumentation of these new technological artifacts and to their modeling. To do this, we chose the approach the “Learning by Expanding model” of Engeström (1999, 2014), to model the digital mediations processes involved in the self-quantification practices
