The article uses archival and published data to study the features of a type of morbidity and mortality of the Russian population observed in the 1960s. The spread of cardiovascular diseases, especially coronary heart disease and atherosclerosis, was noted in the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (RSFSR).
