How to build a set of efficient communication protocol and power management method becomes an essential task in this era. In this thesis, an appropriate network communication protocol that is suitable for power management of site monitoring and for healthcare monitoring was proposed. The communication protocol uses hierarchical architecture, which applies star topology in the local area wireless

It is a trend to control and observe personal health condition by medical device. There is not a unified data format and communications protocol in commercial personal medical devices. It’s hard to exchange medical information and do system integration for current medical devices, and the user need to spend more time for learning the operation of different interfaces. Therefore, this research combines ISO/IEEE 11073 Personal Health Device Communication Stan

However, we have found that there are still many situations in the field of medical care that are not satisfied by these systems, for example, the movement of doctors and patients will cause the WMSN devices (gateways or sensors) to be mobile. Therefore, this study designed a healthcare system with mobility, it allo

The current trend in healthcare is the move towards proactive health monitoring and making health one’s responsibility. This has seen a proliferation of wearable devices that monitor physical and physiological parameters in real time. However, there is an increasing need to monitor internal body parameters, detect risks and act on them in a timely manner. Implanted medical devices (IMDs) are gaining recent attention due to their capability to provide diagnostic, therapeutic and assistive functionalities. With a projected annual growth of 7.1 % (2016- 2022) the global market share of IMD

In such transmissions, only a small fraction of this energy is received since the EM fields are widely radiated resulting in lossy inefficient systems. Using the body as a communication medium (similar to a ’wire’) allows for the containment of the energy within the body, yielding order(s) of magnitude lower energy than radiative EM communication.
