Taking into consideration a study published 10 years ago on sexual disturbances of students at the University of São Paulo, the importance of the subject is discussed, along with the creation in 1993 of the Sexuality Project at the university hospital of the University of São Paulo School of Medicine. In its first year, this multidisciplinary project attended 140 patients with sexual dysfunctions (associated or not to other clinical manifestations); the majority were younger than 60 years-old, and 80 percent were male.

PURPOSE: Evaluate the application of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO) in patients with Crohn's disease (CD) refractory to pharmacologic therapy, who developed abdominal, anorectal or skin complications. METHODS: Fourteen selected patients with refractory CD and treated at the School of Medicine of Ribeirao Preto, University of Sao Paulo (FMRP-USP) and at the Center of Hyperbaric Medicine, São Paulo Hospital (CEMEHI) were submitted to HBO. In the list of 105 pilgrimage sites in Brazil, 12 are located in the State of São Paulo. The Basilica (or Sanctuary) of Our Lady Aparecida, in Aparecida do Norte (São Paulo), is the largest pilgrimage center in Brazil and has received more than 12 million visitors per year in the last three years. In the Vale do Paraíba (State of São Paulo), of the 41 million tourists, 18 million were concentrated in the Religious Circuit. The main objective of this chapter is to discuss the proposal for the creation of a research project by the Postgraduate Program in Tourism of the School of Arts, Sciences, and Humanities (EACH) of the University of São Paulo (USP), which contributes to the productive chain of religious tourism, which impact the social, cultural, economic, and human development of the State of São Paulo (Brazil). The creation of the website of the Religious Cultural Tourism Observatory of the State of São Paulo would be one of the main dissemination strategies and a relevant indicator of the evaluation of the results of the research project.

This study was developed from the Programa Rede São Paulo de Formação Docente – Redefor, regarding the specific section of execution and management under the responsibility of the University of São Paulo (Redefor - USP). From the netnography approach, it seeks to understand how the self-perceptions of the enrolled participants are developed and established in the virtual educational context and its consequences in personal, family and school everyday environments. The aim is to observe their digital literacies, understood as components of an integrated, cohesive and holistic set of skills and expertise - in continuous process of acquisition and development - that allow the individual not only navigate and communicate in the Internet, but it also obtain, produce and distribute information, knowledge, meanings, narratives and representations of themselves and the world they live.
