Abstract:
Introduction and Aim: The most common practice for marking the radiation field borders in conventional radiotherapy is with marker pens. In the hot and humid environment in India these markings rapidly fade and require remarking. In some cases, they require re-simulation and re-planning. Mehndi has been used in India for ceremonial marking on skin for long. Here we seek to evaluate the same for radiotherapy. Materials and Methods: Eighty-two patients with no history of hyper-sensitivity to mehendi were scheduled to be analyzed on per protocol treatment basis, with 41 in each arm. Subjects were randomized by lottery method till the target number in one of the arms is reached. Since one subject in each arm had not received the per protocol management due to default, two more subjects were included and randomized. The minimum duration of treatment was 5 weeks. Markings were done either with mehndi cones (Arm A) or conventionally used Skin marking pens. They were repeated as per requirements. The number of application and gap between them were recorded. The data was later analyzed with SPSS v23 for frequencies, independent sample T test, including Mann-Whitney test. The analysis was per protocol. Results: No incidence of hypersensitivity to mehendi occurred. The mean and median number of applications was significantly less in the Mehndi arm compared to control arm (median being 2 in mehndi arm compared to 4 in Pen arm). The median gap between applications and each application was also significantly lower in the Mehndi arm (11.5 days vs 7.25 days). There was no significant difference with visualization. The comfort level of the technologists, consultants and patients were better with Mehndi than with pen arm on Likert scale. Conclusion: Mehndi is more durable than the pen marking it is equally visible for health care professionals and more comfortable to patients. The skin tone of our patients did not pose any challenge in visualization during set up either in ambient lighting or with lasers.

Abstract:
The present study has examined the Pakistani wedding invitation cards. The objectives of this study are to conduct the genre analysis of wedding cards i.e. to analyze the moves, its order, communicative purpose and nature; and to explore the micro-linguistic features of the language of wedding invitation cards. For this purpose, fifty Baraat invitation cards, Mehndi invitation cards and wedding cards envelopes each was selected for the analysis by using models proposed by Swales (1990) and Bhatia (1993). The results revealed eleven moves in Baraat invitation cards, ten in Mehndi cards and five in wedding cards envelopes out of which some are optional and some are obligatory depending on the frequency of its occurrence in wedding cards. For the analysis of micro-linguistic features, Bhatia’s model (1993) has been used. The micro-linguistic analysis includes sentence complexity, length of the sentence, verb, nouns, conjunctions and prepositions

Abstract:
The desire to look pretty prompts people to beautify themselves and buy expensive jewelleries. It is no wonder the jewellery industry and those that provide beauty services make great profit every year and grow rapidly. Among the techniques that women have focused on today are the art of Mehdi. The art of henna in decorating these hands and feet seems to be a must for women during every festivities or gatherings. Syara does not prohibit beautifying oneself but it distinguishes between what is necessary and unlawful. Similarly, it places certain limitations on each human act including beautifying, so that the benefits of the world and the hereafter are always preserved. This paper will examine the extent to which the art of Mehdi is agreed upon by the Prophet’s (S.A.W) companions as a form of jewellery and restrictions placed for it. At the same time, how the next generation will address their fatwa in this matter. This study has resulted in several results: there is several fatwa from the sahabah that prohibit the using of Mehndi and it has objectives to be achieved.

Abstract:
The Tabas Block is part of the Central Iran microcontinent, located between the Lut Block in the East and the Yazd Block in the West. The Baghamshah Formation is the second lithostratigraphic unit from the sedimentary cycle of the Magu Group and the Baghamshah Subgroup in the Jurassic of Tabas Block. This formation is conformably underlaid with the grey pisoidal limestones of the Parvadeh Formation and overlaid with the Pectinid limestones of the Kamar-e-Mehdi Formation (Esfandiar Subgroup). In this research, the biostratigraphy of the Baghamshah Formation in the Rizu and Kamar-e-Mehdi sections, based on calcareous nannofossils, is examined. The thickness of the Baghamshah Formation in the Rizu section is 270 m (mostly including marl and green shales with intercalation of limestones and calcareous sandstones), and in the Kamar-e- Mehdi section is 236 m (composed of gypsiferous marly shales, marl, marly shales and alternation of marl-shale with limestones and calcareous sandstones). According to the taxonomic studies in the Rizu section, 52 species belong to 24 genera, and in the Kamar-e-Mehdi section, 45 species belong to 23 genera of calcareous nannofossils. Based on index calcareous nannofossils, the CC1, CC2, CC3, and CC4 biozones established by Sissinghh in both sections were determined. It is mentioned that CC5 biozone only occur in Kamar-e-Mehdi section. According to the identified biozones, the suggested age of the Baghamshah Formation is early Berriasian–early Hauterivian in the Rizu section, and early Berriasian–late Hauterivian in the Kamar-e-Mehdi section. Abstract:
Henna has been an essential part of women’s traditional body art in many North Indian communities. In recent decades, professional henna artists have expanded their businesses to offer “walk-in” service along the sidewalks of urban market areas in addition to private at-home bookings. This study examines the skills acquisition and execution of Jaipur market henna artists in order to understand how they satisfy a large customer base that demands convenience, application speed, motif variety, and overall design excellence. In addition to conducting interviews with artists and customers, the author received training from and worked alongside a closed sample of artists. Collected market designs were compared to surveyed design booklets and magazines in order to identify elements of continuity and change in designs since 1948. The data revealed that customer demands require artist training that promotes constant innovation that in turn increases popular appeal and vitalizes the tradition of henna application.

Abstract:
Parasitism is an important limiting factor that responsible for deteriorating the health and productivity of livestock. Goat rearing is hindered by various problems, among them parasitism is an important limiting factor in Bangladesh as the climatic condition of the country favors the development and survival of various parasites. Of the parasitic problems, ectoparasitic infestations are commonly seen in goats. Common ectoparasites of animals are ticks, lice and mites which cause considerable amount of blood loss, irritation and annoyance. Mange infested goats bite and rub the affected area so that the affected skin becomes abraded. Ectoparasitic infestations reduce the quality and market value of valuable skin. Besides, ectoparasites transmit various types of deadly pathogens of animals. The objectives of this study to find out the alternative measures of mange control especially with herbal products. In the experimental study of mange control, fifteen affected goats of both sexes, aged between 10 and 30 months which were divided into four groups randomly and 3 goats were considered in each group. The treatments were considered with control (A), Neem ointment (B), Ata ointment (C), Mehedi ointment (D).The control experiment was conducted during November’2012 to December’2012 in Rajshahi district of Bangladesh. A descriptive statistical analysis and ANOVA were used for the results of clinical parameters (hair coat, skin lesion bodyweight and adverse effects). The recovery of skin lesion was statistically significant (P<0.10) in all treatment groups except control group (P>0.10).The bodyweight was increased in all treatment groups and it was decreased in control group which was significant (P>0.10).In the herbal ointments, Neem(Azadirachtaindica) was more effective for control of mange in goats than Mehidi (Lawsoniainermis) and Ata (Annonareticulata). Further studies are required to clarify the efficacy of the ethno veterinary widely used in agro ecologies, animal species and livestock management system in Bangladesh. Res. Agric., Livest. Abstract:
Abstract Cyprinoid fish in Chiang Mai province has been reported the presence of a large number of metacercariae, particularly the metacercariae of Haplorchoides and those not identified to species. This study aims to investigate morphological and molecular characteristic of the minute intestinal fluke H. mehrai metacercariae in two cyprinoid fish species from Chom Thong district, Chiang Mai province, Thailand: the Tinfoil barb (Barbonymus schwanenfeldii) and the White eye barb (Cyclocheilichthys repasson). A total of 180 fish (90 from B. schwanenfeldii and 90 from C. repasson) were collected over three seasons: cool, hot and the rainy season (December 2015 to August 2016). Fish were examined for H. mehrai metacercariae infection, including areas such as muscle and the inner side of body scales, by using a light microscope. The prevalence of H. mehrai metacercariae in B. schwanenfeldii and C. repasson was 73.33 % and 100 % respectively. Haplorchoides metacercariae were identified as H. mehrai based on the morphological characteristics; the position of the acetabulum and the number and arrangement of the acetabular spines. Phylogenetic analysis based on Cytochrome c Oxidase subunit I (COI) gene showed that H. mehrai metacercariae from B. schwanenfeldii and C. repasson were the same species as the adult stage of H. mehrai from Hemibagrus nemurus and Mystus multiradiatus. Both morphological and molecular characteristic could indicate that Haplorchoides metacercariae originated from this study were H. mehrai. Furthermore, it is a new record of the minute intestinal fluke Haplorchoides mehrai in Chiang Mai Province

Miyaning faoliyati muskullarning o’zaro faoliyatiga, muskullar faoliyati esa miyaning boshqarishi orqali amalga oshiriladi”.

Abstract:
Seed health test was done in laboratory to determine the status of seed borne fungi on seeds of five tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) varieties viz. Manik, Ratan, Roma VF, Kopotakkho and Monirumpuri and their possible control by using plant extracts. A total of 4 genera of 3 species of fungi were recorded where Fusarium oxysporum was the most prevalent and predominant seed borne fungus (25.60%). Other three fungal species are Aspergillus sp. of Aspergillus flavus (21.70%) and Aspergillus niger (11.11%) and Cladosporium sp. (13.49%). Tomato seeds were treated with different plant leaf extracts namely Mahogany, Mehendi and Allamanda with different doses viz. 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 to control the seed borne fungi. In treated seeds, germination was ranged from 72-82% which was 68% in controlled condition. Among the doses of three botanicals, Mahogany, Mehendi and Allamonda extract @ (1:1 w/v) showed significant performance in controlling seed borne fungi and germination of tomato seeds. Among the three botanicals, Mahogany @ (1:1 w/v) was found the best treatment regarding percent reduction of seed borne infection.Res. Agric., Livest. Fish.3(3): 403-410, December 2016

Abstract:
The Hourglasses (2015), by French-Moroccan artist Mehdi-Georges Lahlou, features five large hourglasses displayed artifact-like upon a table. As one would expect of an hourglass, these glass sculptures can be inverted to measure out time. This, though, is where convention ends, as these are filled with couscous, not sand. Unlike sand, couscous cannot measure time consistently and the inversion of any one of these five hourglasses results in a different measurement of time. In effect, they disorient any linear notion of temporality, raising the specter of Orientalism and its fantasy of a timeless East. Mehdi-Georges works in a diverse range of media including performance, sculpture, installation, and self-portraiture. Dealing with race, gender, sexuality, colonialism, identity, and representations of Islam and Catholicism, his work performs the instability in all these categories by critically complicating fantasies of “East” and “West” without relying on a mere binary reversal of meaning. Contextualizing his work within a larger history of Orientalism, my argument begins first with Percy Bysshe Shelley’s poem “Ozymandias,” composed in 1817, followed by an analysis of nineteenth- and twentieth-century Orientalist paintings before leading to a concise discussion of contemporary Orientalism in art and art discourse. My analysis then circles back to the artist’s work to insist that Orientalism’s fantastical invocation of the East remains a disabling presence in the contemporary imaginary. Orientalism’s temporality, as glimpsed obliquely from Mehdi-Georges Lahlou’s hyphenated identity, is likewise rendered unstable in his work. As seen in The Hourglasses, his work produces what I call “an aesthetic of disorientation,” predicated on the artist’s embodied cultural hyphenation, which renders the Orientalist fantasy of the East absurd through its own tropes of representation. By bringing queer theory and disability studies to bear on his work, I show how his practice engages with Orientalism’s temporality to open up new possibilities of perceiving the world.

Abstract:
Abstract: Knowledge of the presence (ḥuḍūrī) with mystical experience as describe above is deemed the most popular models of knowledge in Islamic philosophy at the same coloring methodology and epistemology of Islam. Through logical arguments, semantic analysis and epistemo¬logy sharp Suhrawardī considered very successfully demonstrate authenticity huduri science as a science model of non-representational. Among the classical epistemological problems that have not been resolved until now -but able to be dissected in clear and distinct- is about the relationship of subject and object of knowledge, that is the problem more acute in modern Western philosophy. What is interesting is when when to review the issues very carefully and consistently Mehdi directing and bringing the students (who interest in Islamic philosophy) into the recesses of the inner world and the dialogue with the depth of their own existence. It is undeniable that Ha'iri Mehdi Yazdi take existentialist philosophy illumination Suhrawardī and MullaṢadrā as a main reference, as he learned the lesson of Plato, Aristotle, Plotinus, Ibn Sīnā, and al-Ṭūsī, citing the idea of a number of Western philosophers were actually familiar with the science huduri that he wanted to offer. However unique, he expertly directs their ideas to the conclusion that it is inevitable for us to acknowledge the existence of non - phenomenal knowledge. Abstract:
This article seeks to scrutinize Mehdi Golshani’s thought on dialectical relation of religion and science. In the history of human being, the relation of religion and science has been dynamically connected. Each side has correlated, dominated, and synergized with one to another. The relation of these two entities has brought about a number of various paradigms, namely theocentric, anthropocentric, and Theo-anthropocentric paradigms. Employing bibliographical approach, this study discusses historical relation of religion and science, which has been long connected since the Medieval Century. The study finds that Golshani has founded his conception of science on the basis of dichotomization between what so-called the sacred sciences and the secular one. He has tried to link these two entities by, among others, dialoguing between material aspect and supra-natural realm. To him, either religion or science shares a common orientation in order to reach the supreme truth, i.e. God. When religion undergoes the quest through obedience upon the dogmas stipulated by God, science prefers reason to get along with Him. In the meantime religion and science are able to integrate and share with each other. Golshani calls it the Islamic Sciences.
