Full textBackground: Pain is the most common reason why patients seek care and it causes suffering to the patient. Each patient is unique with their own needs that need to be met through adaptation of care. The nurse has a responsibility to alleviate the patient's suffering by providing good care based on the interpersonal relationship. In acute care setting the nurse's role is to treat the patient, to assess the patient’s pain, carry out pain treatment and evaluate treatment. Aim: To describe nurses' perspective on factors that affect the interpersonal relationship in the context of pain treatment in an acute care setting. Method: A literature study based on 14 articles with qualitative approach. Results: From the analysis three main categories were identified; Nurse factors, Patient factors and Organizational factors with seven subcategories. Conclusion: The nurse's competence was identified as the biggest promoting factor. Limited time for good care was identified as the biggest hindering factor.

så den får fram rätt framtoning? Frågor av denna karaktär har varit med att bygga
upp denna uppsats och drivit oss att ta reda på mer.
Ovanstående är temat som denna uppsats behandlar och utreder. I fokus
står det mellanmänskliga mötet som sker under anställningsintervjun och hur
intrycksstyrning används. För kandidaten och för rekryteraren är
anställningsintervjun ett tillfälle då de båda i de flesta fall vill framstå i så god
dager som möjligt. Intrycksstyrning är en metod för att skapa och förstärka intryck
med hjälp av olika taktiker. Vi har med utgångspunkt i den symboliska
interaktionismen hämtat både kunskap och inspiration och överfört dem till
anställningsintervjun som är en del av rekryteringsprocessen. Symbolisk
interaktionism fokuserar på kommunikation mellan människor och det område
som vi studerat närmare. Vi har intervjuat tre rekryterare och tre kandidater som
är anställda på Skol- och barnomsorgsförvaltningen inom Växjö kommun. Syftet
med denna uppsats har varit att få en ökad förståelse och kunskap för hur
människor agerar under anställningsintervjun. Vi har bland annat kommit fram till
att parterna vill se intervjun som ett samtal istället för ett stelt förhör eller ett
tillgjort skådespel. Vi har även kommit fram till att individerna vill agera
mänskligt och tillåtas ha fel och brister istället för att ge sken och uppfattas som
perfekta. Det har visat sig att det inte enbart är positivt att visa sina goda sidor och
agera som en reklamkampanj. Det som framkom var att överdrivna förmågor förr
eller senare kommer fram, därför är det av vikt att ha en allmänkunskap som gör
det enklare att genomskåda intrycksstyrningen.
Should an individual expose his true personality, express his emotions,
reveal his inner-self and disclose exactly how he feels or should the individual
assess the social environment and act according to what the individual deems to
be the most acceptable behaviour in the social context, and so project the right
impression? Questions like this have helped us to put together this essay and have
motivated us to find out more.
The above is the theme this paper deals with and investigates. Its focus is
on the interpersonal interaction that takes place during a job interview and how
impression management is used. For the candidate and the recruiter a job
interview is a time when both want to appear in as good a light as possible.
Impression Management is a method to create and reinforce an impression by
using different tactics. We have, from theoretical starting points of symbolic
interaction, obtained both knowledge and inspiration and transferred them to the
job interview as part of the recruitment process. We have interviewed three
recruiters and three candidates who are employed at Växjö municipality’s School
and Child Care Administration. The aim of this thesis has been to achieve a better
understanding and knowledge of how people inter-act during an employment
interview. We have drawn the conclusion that both parties want to see the
interview as a conversation instead of a rigid interrogation or play-acting. We also
found that the two participants want to appear humane and accept faults and
shortcomings instead of giving the impression of being perfect. It is not
considered positive to only show their good sides as in an advertising campaign.
What emerged was that exaggerated capabilities sooner or later are exposed. It is
therefore important to have a general knowledge that makes it easier to expose
impression management.

Full textProjects are often spoken of in the terms of rational systems. However, some researchers point out the relevance of viewing projects as sets of relationships. Little is published about what aspects of relationships that are important for the managing of projects. We have argued for the necessity of such research. With previous research, our case study and interviews we indentified communication, responsibility, cooperation, togetherness and trust as important relational aspects in projects.
The overall perceived success for projects in this case, was increased with the adoption of new agile methods. These new methods clearly favored communication and togetherness. We wish to present a perspective that will view projects as people and their relationships.
Projekt pratas ofta om i form av ett logiskt och rationellt system, men det är i sig ologiskt eftersom projektet i sådana termer inte existerar. Exempelvis kan projektet själv inte ha mål. Vid flera undersökningar har en majoritet angett relationer som den största framgångsfaktorn för projekt. Med hjälp av en fallstudie och tidigare forskning i ämnet anser vi att människor är det som kausalt skapar projekt och har därför intervjuat personer med olika roller med erfarenheter av arbete i projekt.
Vår sammanslagning av empiri och teori pekar på att relationer existerar bland annat genom kommunikation, ansvar, samarbete, gemenskap och tillit. Men i detta fall är relationerna ock-så hårt styrda av strukturer och otydlighet. Vi har argumenterat för att ledningen, i vårt fall både kan och bör arbeta aktivt för att skapa fungerande relationer i projekt där uppgiften kräver det.

Full textAbstract This study consists of a qualitative study based on semi-structured interviews with five professionals in interpersonal work. The study aims to explore what can occur in an interpersonal work on the professional experience of burnout and analyzed using a number of unconscious social psychological processes with psychodynamic assaulted. The study also aims to try to understand what reduces the risk that practitioners will expose clients for these unconscious processes because of burnout. Results of the study indicate that it can more easily occur unconscious social psychological processes in client work if the practitioner suffers from burnout. The study also indicates that there are factors that are considered to reduce the risk that professionals will expose their clients to unconscious processes because of burnout. Full textThis is a theoretical study of changing relations between men and women in the context of modernisation. Ideas derived from a general theoretical discussion will be illustrated by examples from countries that are going through societal changes affecting the lives of men and women; Uganda, Morocco and Mexico. Focus will be on connections between changes in the public sphere and interpersonal relations in the private sphere. One part examines certain effects of women’s increased participation in politics and in the workforce, concluding that these changes may cause conflicts with traditional values and consequently tensions in inter-gender relations. The following part examines sexuality and respectability in relation to societal changes where people’s material conditions change and attitudes are affected by information flows from other countries. The examples in this part illustrate how young people, especially women, feel trapped between the demands from their new reality and traditional norms about how to behave. I then go on to discuss power structures that affect women’s possibilities to live the lives they want and also how it may affect their values and interests. The concept of empowerment will be discussed as well as the indicators used to measure women’s empowerment. In this section I will also briefly explain development projects directed towards women and how they sometimes fail to capture all dimensions necessary.
The conclusions are that the definition of modernisation that I had when I started this work is not sufficient to understand the processes that people go through. It is important to understand that changes in people’s material conditions, their economic environment etc. are not always caused by, or even followed by, changes in attitudes, values and interpersonal relations. When societal changes do not come from within the society they will cause conflicts between norms that shape peoples perceptions and the demands from their new material environment. Another conclusion is that in measuring women’s empowerment we need to look at other factors besides economic and political participation, such as women’s status in the family and their control over their own bodies.
