Abstract:
AbstractMenelaus's theorem is basically for triangles. Some authors have developed in quadrilateral. In this paper the authors develop Menelaus’s theorem for the pentagon. The proofing process is done in a very simple way that is using Menelaus's theorem on the triangle by partitioning the pentagon into several triangles, wide comparison of the triangle, and similarity. The results obtained are the five points on the sides or the extension of the sides in line (colinear). Keywords: pentagon, Menelaus’s theorem, Menelaus transversal. AbstrakTeorema Menelaus pada dasarnya adalah untuk segitiga. Beberapa penulis sudah mengembangkan dalam segiempat. Dalam tulisan ini penulis mengembangkan teorema Menelaus untuk segilima. Proses pembuktiannya dilakukan dengan cara yang sangat sederhana yaitu menggunakan teorema Menelaus pada segitiga dengan mempartisi segilima tersebut menjadi beberapa segitiga, perbandingan luas pada segitiga, dan kesebangunan. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah kelima titik yang berada pada sisi-sisi atau perpanjangan sisi-sisinya segaris (colinear).Kata kunci: segilima, teorema Menelaus, transversal Menelaus.

The focus of this note is the simile attached to Menelaus’ wound in Iliad 4 and its Virgilian transformation in Aeneid 12. My goal is to flesh out and specify the sense of the Homeric simile; as the parentheses in my title suggest, I call upon Virgil chiefly as a fellow-interpreter. Since an important part of my argument is that the simile only takes on its full significance when considered in its narrative context, I begin by setting the scene.

The study of geometry provides a rich and attractive field of manipulatives, because geometry is present in the daily life of all people, sometimes explicitly and sometimes in a subtle way. We present, however, in this work, many situations that show that geometry goes much beyond mathematical equations. We intent to make a simple approach of some triangles-related theorems, focusing on Stewart’s, Ceva’s, Menelaus’ and Napoleon’s, as well as on their detailed demonstrations in a comprehensive way. Having as one of the goals to make those more spread, in such a way that they can be used as complementary tools to help the learning of plane geometry. For even being such a great key to many questions’ solutions, they are not usually applied. Finally, we conclude this work with some applications, which will hopefully excite and whet the curiosity of the reader to search for more.
O estudo da Geometria possibilita um campo rico e atraente de manipulações, pois a Geometria está presente na vida cotidiana de todos os cidadãos, por vezes de forma explícita e por vezes de forma sutil. Apresentamos, porém, neste trabalho, diversas situações que mostram que a Geometria vai muito além de fórmulas. Fizemos uma abordagem simples de alguns teoremas da Geometria plana relacionados aos triângulos focando nos teoremas de Stewart, Ceva, Menelaus e Napoleão, bem como suas demonstrações detalhadas e didaticamente compreensíveis. Tendo como um dos objetivos torná-los mais divulgados, de modo que possam ser utilizados como ferramentas para complementarem e auxiliarem na aprendizagem da Geometria plana. Pois mesmo tendo grande papel na resolução de muitas questões, são pouco usados. E concluímos o nosso trabalho com algumas aplicações, inclusive de exames vestibulares, esperando que sirvam para despertar o interesse e aguçar a curiosidade do leitor para buscar aprofundar mais os conhecimentos nesta área.

U ovoj tezi razvijen je formalni sistem za dokazivanje teoremaincidencije u projektivnoj geometiji. Osnova sistema je Čeva/Menelajmetod za dokazivanje teorema incidencije. Formalizacija o kojoj jeovdje riječ izvedena je korišćenjem Δ-kompleksa, pa su tako udisertaciji spojene oblasti logike, geometrije i algebarsketopologije. Aksiomatski sekventi proizilaze iz 2-ciklova Δ-kompleksa.Definisana je Euklidska i projektivna interpretacija sekvenata idokazana je saglasnost i odlučivost sistema. Dati su primjeriiščitavanja teorema incidencije iz dokazivih sekvenata sistema. Utezi je data i procedura za provjeru da li je skup od n šestorki tačakaaksiomatski sekvent.
In this thesis, a formal sequent system for proving incidence theorems inprojective geometry is introduced. This system is based on theCeva/Menelaus method for proving theorems. This formalization is performedusing Δ-complexes, so the areas of logic, geometry and algebraic topologyare combined in the dissertation. The axiomatic sequents of the system stemfrom 2-cycles of Δ-complexes. The Euclidean and projective interpretations ofthe sequents are defined and the decidability and soundness of the systemare proved. Patterns for extracting formulation and proof of the incidenceresult from derivable sequents of system are exemplified. The procedure fordeciding if set of n sextuples represent an axiomatic sequent is presentedwithin the thesis.

The objective of this study was to address some theorems of geometry and consequently use them to solve exercises. Here are theorems as the Ceva theorem, Menelaus Theorem and Stewart’s theorem, which are very efficient theorems, specially regarding solving exercises that seem complex. That is, knowing these theorems make us very powerful cognitive point of view, of course. We expose here also another magnificent theorem, also known as theorem of Pappus-Guldin. This theorem has as main objective to calculate areas and volumes of surfaces and solids of revolution. Pappos-Guldin theorem is a brilliant theorem. With it can establish several formulas that involve areas and volumes of revolution solids and surfaces, such as the area of ??a circle and the volume of a very trivially cylinder. This theorem enables solving exercises that seem too difficult of a high school student to solve. In this work in very not only care about the dialect, but also with the above content. For example, we leave to those who have the curiosity to see the demonstration of Pappus-Guldin theorem in Appendices A and B, as for the demonstration of it is necessary to use the Differential and Integral Calculus, which until then the high school student remotely have contact.
O objetivo deste trabalho foi abordar alguns teoremas da Geometria e consequentemente usá-los para resolver exercícios. Apresentamos aqui teoremas clássicos como o Teorema de Ceva, o Teorema de Menelaus e o Teorema de Stewart, que são teoremas muito eficientes, principalmente no quesito resolver exercícios que parecem complexos. Isto é, conhecer estes teoremas nos deixam muito poderosos do ponto de vista cognitivo, é claro. Expomos aqui também outro teorema magnífico, conhecido também como Teorema de Pappus- Guldin. Este teorema têm como objetivo principal calcular áreas e volumes de superfícies e sólidos de revolução. O Teorema de Pappus-Guldin é um teorema brilhante. Com ele podemos demonstrar várias fórmulas que envolvem áreas e volumes de superfícies e sólidos de revolução, tais como da área de um círculo e do volume de um cilindro de modo muito trivial. Este teorema possibilita solucionar exercícios que parecem muito difíceis de um aluno do ensino médio resolver. Neste trabalho nos preocupamos muito não só com o dialeto, mas também com o conteúdo exposto. Por exemplo, deixamos, para quem tem a curiosidade ver, a demonstração do Teorema de Pappus-Guldin nos Apêndices A e B, pois para a demonstração do mesmo é necessário o uso do Cálculo Diferencial e Integral, que até então o aluno do ensino médio remotamente tem contato.

Este texto é parte de uma pesquisa acerca da Geometria Projetiva como instrumento de intervenção pedagógica no Ensino Médio. Ela se remete a estudos dentro do Mestrado Profissional em Educação Matemática da Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora. Damos tratamento teórico e operacional aos temas mais básicos da Geometria Projetiva a partir dos teoremas de Menelau e Ceva, cujos pressupostos estão enraizados nos conceitos de colinearidade e concorrência. Sugere-se uma reflexão a partir do que se percebe no ensino de Geometria no Brasil, principalmente em torno do estudo de triângulos e do que a eles se agregam. Faz-se um resgate histórico dos teoremas mencionados e propõem-se algumas atividades norteadoras, de modo a levar o aluno (sujeito) a se defrontar com novas possibilidades de resolução de problemas. Apresenta-se um início de proposta de tratamento metodológico sobre dados de pesquisa de campo projetada.
This work is part of a research about Projective Geometry as pedagogic tool in High School. The research itself is part of studies developed during the Professional Master Degree in Mathematics and Education at Federal University of Juiz de Fora. We try to give a theoretical and operational approach to basic themes of Projective Geometry from the theorems of Menelau and Ceva, which assumptions are rooted in the concepts of collinearity and concurrency. It is suggested, then, a mature reflection of what we perceive in the teaching of Geometry in Brazil, mainly about the study of triangles and its relations. A historical survey of the theorems mentioned above is made and we propose some activities to take the student (subject) to face new possibilities to solve problems. It is presented the start of a proposal of methodological approach to data of a projective field research.

Delinear as ações positivas, participativas e inclusivas no âmbito de implementação do Programa Escola Aberta (PEA) em Pernambuco, por meio de utilização da metodologia da Investigação Apreciativa (IA), constitui a temática deste estudo. Com base nas institucionalidades introduzidas pela Constituição Federal de 1988, mecanismos inovadores estão relacionados à participação da sociedade civil na implementação de práticas democráticas, da descentralização de responsabilidades e da busca por bons resultados no desempenho de políticas públicas. No PEA estas práticas estão relacionadas à viabilização da motivação coletiva à criação de uma cultura de paz e inclusão social. Sob esta ótica, são discutidas temáticas tais como modelos de gestão pública, novas institucionalidades e relações intergovernamentais, gestão participativa, avaliação de projetos sociais e Investigação Apreciativa. Como discutir ações positivas que contribuam para construção de uma cultura de paz e inclusão social na implementação do PEA em Pernambuco? Para responder esta pergunta foi realizada uma pesquisa social, de base aplicada e caráter descritivo-explicativo e interpretativo. Quanto aos meios, consistiu em uma pesquisa participante no qual o método escolhido foi um estudo de caso de natureza qualitativa, realizado na Escola Paulo Menelau, da rede pública municipal de Jaboatão dos Guararapes, intencionalmente escolhida mediante critérios de acessibilidade e de representatividade. A pesquisa de campo envolveu levantamento documental e bibliográfico, além da participação propriamente dita, envolvendo atores atuantes no PEA. A estratégia utilizada foi de aplicação da IA com base no ciclo dos 4-Ds intrinsecamente interligados: O primeiro D (Discovery) Descoberta; o segundo D, (Dream) Sonho; o terceiro D, (Design) - Planejamento - e o quarto D, (Destiny) Destino. Com eles, forma-se o chamado ciclo apreciativo, em cujo centro está a Escolha do Tópico Afirmativo, principal produto da IA. Neste estudo, porém, adotou-se a referência ao ciclo de 5-Ds, devido à introdução do D-1, (Definition) Definição, dada a necessidade de determinar o foco e o escopo do trabalho participativo. Os resultados da pesquisa apontaram que estão sendo implementadas boas práticas de gestão participativa na Escola estudada, cuja ampliação de espaços físicos e pedagógicos revelou-se como força positiva visualizada por todos, evidenciando-se também o desejo de que o PEA seja consolidado e mantido. Contudo, fragilidades na gestão por conta da baixa intensidade das interações locais tanto governamentais como sociais, em função do formato da matriz institucional do PEA, dificulta a adoção da gestão descentralizada, com sérios reflexos no empoderamento da sociedade, gerando dúvidas quanto à apropriação do Programa em estudo. Neste sentido, são sugeridos novos canais de implementação de ações através de parcerias que garantam a sustentabilidade do PEA

Abstract:
O presente trabalho teve como objetivo a realização de uma proposta pedagógica para a obra Fantasia de Concerto, do compositor brasileiro nascido em Belém do Pará, Meneleu Campos. A partir do conhecimento da obra em questão, foi realizada uma comparação com o chamado repertório tradicional violinístico, a fim de identificar os aspectos técnicos semelhantes e, a partir disso, formular uma proposta pedagógica. A comparação com o repertório tradicional, foi baseada no artigo “Ousadia e convenção do Segundo Concerto para violino e Orquestra de Camargo Guarnieri” Alvarenga (2000). Para a realização da proposta pedagógica, utilizou-se, como referencial teórico o livro “Practice” (2004) de Simon Fischer, no qual o autor mostra soluções técnicas para passagens do repertório tradicional. Identificados os aspectos técnicos e violinísticos da Fantasia de Concerto, foi possível, baseado nas propostas de Fischer, desenvolver exercícios para a obra em estudo.
This essay aimed at presenting a pedagogical proposal for the work Fantasia de Concerto by Meneleu Campos - a Brazilian composer, born in Bélem do Pará. A study of the work paved the way for a comparison with the standard violin repertoire, thus establishing common technical issues which in turn served as the starting point for the pedagogical proposal. The comparison with the standard repertoire was based on the article “Ousadia e convenção do Segundo Concerto para violino e Orquestra de Camargo Guarnieri” Alvarenga (2000). The pedagogical proposal was based on the book “Practice” (2004) by Simon Fischer. This author offers suggestions on how to work and solve problems found in the standard violin repertoire. Therefore, once the technical difficulties of the Fantasia de Concerto were identified, exercises of a similar nature were devised.

This research aimed at rescuing the Concerto in A major for the Piano with Orchestral Accompaniment by the Brazilian composer Octávio Meneleu de Campos, from the state of Pará, regarding pianistic practice and analysis. This concerto was composed in the most productive period of the musician’s career, between 1903 and 1904, in the city of Milan. The manuscript transcription, the analytical study of the piece as well as the study of the Concerto piano part were of utmost importance to the development of this paper. The ways through which this analysis was carried out were mainly based on Bergson’s philosophy of duration (1934) and on Seincman’s study of the musical tempo (2001). Some of the Amazon Belle Époque musical memory investigation results are shown throughout the Concerto in A major for the Piano with Orchestral Accompaniment, where the composer’s style, his aesthetical referential within the Brazilian musical scenario and also his relationship with the romantic period are verified.

Este Concerto foi composto no período mais profícuo da carreira do músico, entre os anos de 1903 e 1904, na cidade de Milão. A transcrição do manuscrito, o estudo analítico da peça e o estudo da parte de piano do Concerto foram fundamentais para o desenvolvimento deste trabalho. Os caminhos percorridos por esta análise fundamentaram-se principalmente na filosofia da duração de Bergson (1934) e no estudo sobre o tempo musical de Seincman (2001). Através do Concerto em Lá Maior para Piano com Acompanhamento de Orquestra apresentam-se alguns dos resultados da investigação sobre a memória musical da Belle Époque Amazônica verificando o estilo do compositor, seu referencial estético dentro do cenário musical brasileiro, além de sua relação com o período romântico.

Pembentukan peraturan perundang-undangan adalah proses pembuatan peraturan perundang-undangan pada dasarnya dimulai dari perencanaan, persiapan, teknik penyusunan, perumusan, pembahasan, pengesahan, pengundangan, dan penyebarluasan. Di antara rangkaian proses di atas ada proses yang tidak disebutkan secara tegas tetapi mempunyai peran yang sangat penting, yaitu proses harmonisasi. Dengan demikian, harmonisasi merupakan salah satu dari rangkaian proses pembentukan peraturan perundang-undangan. Harmonisasi dimaksudkan agar tidak terjadi atau mengurangi tumpang tindih peraturan perundang-undangan. Permasalahan kajian ini adalah bagaimana pentingnya harmonisasi pembentukan peraturan perundang-undangan yang disusun merupakan suatu keniscayaan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pentingnya harmonisasi pembentukan peraturan perundang-undangan sebagai pengayaan dan manfaat dalam penyusunan peraturan perundang-undangan. Metode kajian ini menggunakan metode penyusunan yang berbasis metode penelitian hukum. Dalam kajian ini dipergunakan metode pendekatan yuridis normatif artinya dilakukan melalui studi pustaka yang menelaah data sekunder, baik yang berupa peraturan perundang-undangan maupun hasil penelitian, dan referensi lainnya. Hasil kajian ini diharapkan agar harmonisasi peraturan perundang-undangan tidak terjadi tumpang tindih maupun bertentangan dengan peraturan perundang-undangan lain, baik yang lebih tinggi, sederajat, maupun yang lebih rendah.

This chapter assesses the depiction of Menelaus in non-Homeric archaic poetry. What emerges most clearly about Menelaus, from the bits and pieces remaining from non-Homeric archaic poetry, is relationships: chiefly with Agamemnon and Helen; but also with Nestor and his sons, Antenor, and with kinsmen and hosts on Crete. The Cyclic fragments, scant as they are, disclose something of Menelaus’ stature independent of Agamemnon. The Cypria particularly shows Menelaus in the events leading up to the Trojan War largely acting on his own, or the gods’, initiative. Meanwhile, the Hesiodic Catalogue of Women emphasizes Menelaus’ success by virtue of his wealth at the great world-historical moment, not the Trojan War per se but earlier, in the wooing of Helen. In what remains of Menelaus in archaic lyric, the relationships with Agamemnon and Helen are also prominent. In Alcman, he is celebrated, with Helen and the Dioscuri, as the recipient of choral song at a place called Therapne. In Stesichorus, Menelaus is sidelined while Helen turns prophet. In the extant fragments of Sappho, Menelaus is mentioned along with his brother and wife.

Abstract:
This concluding chapter examines Simonides’ ‘Plataea Elegy’. Sometime not long after the Greek defeat of the Persian army at Plataea, Simonides composed an elegy to commemorate this world-historical event in ostentatiously epic terms. Menelaus makes an appearance in the elegy, with the Dioscuri, as patron of the Spartan contingent. The intriguing poem provides a final glimpse of Menelaus as the archaic period draws to a close. It suggests that Menelaus’ place in the cultic environment of archaic Sparta was matched by a significant role in Spartans’ self-definition. The chapter then assesses Simonides’ description of Menelaus as εὐρυβίης‎. Simonides seems to have been the first to adapt the epithet εὐρυβίης‎ to describe a hero. Public performance of the elegy would have provided the opportunity for quick and widespread dissemination of the newly re-discovered word. Its special use then became normative in the lyric diction of epinician poets in the early to mid-fifth century.
