The accurate and efficient detection of steel surface defects remains challenging due to complex backgrounds, diverse defect types, and varying defect scales. The existing CNN-based methods often struggle with capturing long-range dependencies and handling complex background noise, resulting in suboptimal performance. Meanwhile, although Transformer-based approaches are effective in modeling global context, they typically require large-scale datasets and are computationally expensive, limiting their practicality for industrial applications. Integrating clientelism into the debate over the transition to democracy makes it possible to explain the outcomes of stagnating political transition processes. Under the condition of labor surplus, clientelism hinders political inclusion by undermining the class-based organizations that might challenge the privileged access of the elite to resources.

The reservoir information obtained during this period led to confirming the commerciality of Mero Field in 2017 and to guiding its development plan, maintaining opportunities for further optimizations during deployment. The main aspects of Mero reservoir and its characterization and drainage strategy are described in this work. Despite its impressive net pay and productivity, Mero reservoir is one of the most complex carbona

Abstract This paper outlines the main challenges and achievements in well engineering experienced during the development of the Mero oil field, located in the Libra block of the Santos Basin Pre-Salt offshore area in Brazil. With an ambitious project including more than 60 development wells, the Mero campaign is underway with several wells already drilled and completed in an ultra-deepwater environment. The plan includes wells up to 6,000 m deep, crossing formations with considerable geological complexity and heterogeneity, and a reservoir with high silica content, making drilling particularly

The main recommendations of the panel report can be summarised under five key headings:  Building blocks: The ultimate aim should be to build rich, detailed and testable narratives situated within a European context, and addressing phenomena from the longue durée to the short-term over international to local scales. Chronological control is essential to this and effective dating strategies are required to enable generation-level analysis. The ‘serendipity factor’ of archaeological work must be enhanced by recognising and getting the most out of information-rich sites as they appear. o There i

Abstract:
The eighteen months from June 2001 to end December 2002 were a period of unprecedented economic crisis within MERCOSUR, stemming from the sharp external shock that, with different characteristics, origins, and consequences in each member country, manifested itself in the blocs two main economies as the exhaustion of market or voluntary credit. This phenomenon occurred in the context of a world economy with little momentum, one finding it highly difficult to recover the growth rate of the 1990s, and characterized, in particular, by limited flows of liquidity towards emerging markets.
