Les ouvrages type merlons, construits pour se prémunir contre les chutes de blocs rocheux, sont dimensionnés en pratique au moyen de méthodes empiriques. Afin d’optimiser la géométrie de ces constructions leur modélisation a été entreprise. La méthode aux éléments discrets est utilisée en raison des fortes restructurations du remblai constitutif pouvant intervenir durant un impact. Rac1, Cdc42 and RhoA are small RhoGTPases, molecular switches that regulate protrusion and adhesion to other cells and the extracellular matrix. The tumour suppressor merlin controls and is itself regulated by Rac1. Merlin-deficiency has been linked to many protrusive structures like lamellipodia and ruffles, defective intercellular adhesion leading to loss of contact inhibition of growth, and increased adhesion to the extracellular matrix.

The main aim of this work was to evaluate the phenolic compounds of Merlot grapes and wines, from vineyards located at Dom Pedrito (Campanha Gaúcha) and Bento Gonçalves (Serra Gaúcha). The following aspects were evalueted: fenolic and industrial ripeness; correlation between the grapes phenolic potencial and the wine phenolics; changes in phenolic compounds during the aging of the wines; impacto of maceration time of wine phenolic composition. Neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2) is an autosomal dominant inherited condition that predisposes individuals to develop multiple nervous system tumours, primarily schwannoma, meningioma and ependymoma. NF2 is characterised by loss of the tumour suppressor protein Merlin, caused by bi-allelic mutations of the encoding gene NF2 or by loss of heterozygosity.
