Abstract:

Emphysematous pyelonephritis (EPN) is a severe, necrotizing infection of the renal parenchyma, produced by gas-forming Gram-negative bacilli. Even though only few cases are reported in the literature, the disease is not so rare and can become life-threatening if the diagnose is not quick and the therapeutic messures efficient. The biochemical analysis are the first line diagnostic, indicating the severity of the infection. The aim of our study was to to evaluate the importance of biochemical parameters, as first line diagnosis and also of the microbiological parameters, as etiologic diagnosis, in severe renal infections produced by gas forming bacili mainly in diabetic patients, predominantly women, with obstructive nephrolithiasis.

Abstract:

High-speed machining aluminum alloy blades, often can generate chatter. The static modal experiment and dynamic cutting test method was used to get the influence factors. It studied the change of blade modal during the material removal process according the experiments since the thin blade and large influence to its stability of the removal of blank. Through the study it was found that there are two modes of blades within the scope of sensor’s detecting. Blade modal frequency appears to first increase then decrease during the material removal process with little vibration. The dynamic experiment analysis the factor of cutting force in five-axis milling process and messures five-axis machining cutting force in various parameters. It was observe that distribution of 3-dimension cutting forces in cutting path. It was found that the distribution rule of cutting force. Resultant cutting force was increased with cutting speed increased.

Abstract:

This paper reports an empirical analysis of the relationship between return autocorrelation, trading volume and volatility, following the seminal paper by Campbell, Grossman and Wang (1992) using data for A shares traded on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges for the period 1992–2002. Campbell et al. argue that autocorrelation of returns will be negatively related to trading volume given that market makers will need to be rewarded with higher returns for accommodating noise traders. For our full sample we find remarkably consistent support for the CGW hypothesis and results — return autocorrelations are negatively but non-linearly related to lagged trading volume and less strongly to volatility. These results are quite robust with respect to different messures of volume and volatility. We argue that this is a striking result in view of the substantial differences between the US market in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s and the Chinese market of the 1990s. The relationship proves to be unstable over short sub-periods although whether this is due to the relatively short sample we use or to the inherent instability of the Chinese market in its first decade of operation will not be clear until much longer data sets are available for Chinese stock prices.

Abstract:

AbstractEcotourism in an urban environment takes places in areas that offer a certain degree of naturalness in a situation when they are significantly modified by previous human activities. Concept of urban ecotourism recognizes the significance of ecotourism in facilitating cultural exchange, environmental protection and sustainable urban development. Contrary to classic ecodestinations, urban ecotourism is more acceptable considering a higher capacity of urban destinations and the potential to renovate locations that have been degraded by industrial, traffic or other human activities. The experiences and examples from Europe and North America indicate that such projects significantly contribute to a sustainable ecological and social-economical development of many cities. In Serbia, the practice of quality preparations and including natural and other resources into the development of urban ecotourism has still not been established. The paper found that Novi Sad has the resources which would make it also interesting as destination of urban ecotourism. As the most significant point, Danube should be mention with its coastal green zone and numerous islands, as well as the city parks. There are green complexes, available surfaces and abandoned objects and facilities of previous economical activities located in the peripheral and suburban zone. In the immediate surroundings of Novi Sad, there are numerous messuages (Čenej messuages are in the city itself), that have been recently redecorated as eco and ethno oases. The purpose of the paper is to suggest manners of their inclusion into the integral tourist product based on the research of resources for the development of urban ecotourism in Novi Sad. The paper emploied analytical-synthetic method, a combination of secondary sources of literature data, internet, and other sources, with the primary data gained by field observation, analyzing the content of advertising materials and contact through informal interviews with various organizations and experts from the field of ecology, ecotourism and tourism in general, and with decision makers. This research suggests the ways of including ecotourism resources in the tourist offer of Novi Sad.

Abstract:

The following paper includes an analysis of the model of a complaint in the polish civil proceedings. This issue is discussed especially in the light of essential legislative changes introduced by the Act of 4 July 2019 amending the Act – the Code of Civil Procedure and some other acts. These changes fundamentally altered the model for reviewing court decisions in incidental matters, which are not conclusive for the entire proceedings. The Act, in particular, significantly limited the catalogue of decisions of courts of first instance which can be appealed againts to the court of second instance, reshaping this particular model of control into an exception to the simultaneously introduced principle of examining a complaint by different judges of the same court. On the other hand, the act expanded the scope of decisions of courts of second instance which are examined by different judges of the same court. A similar solution was introduced also in in the enforcement proceedings. Therefore, in the current legal status, majority of incidental decisions in civil proceedings has been covered by the so called horizontal complaint. In consequence, a complaint lost its devolutive nature and thus ceased to be an appelate messure.

Abstract:

Modification of Pectin as natural polymer was accepted as new bio adhesive polymer, which was grafted with Maleic anhydride as vinylic monomore and insertion by using ceric ion it, was substituted with amino drugs produced amide polymer which do not lose their biological properties. This design carries controlled delivery which could release the entrapped drug over an extended period of time due to its slow digesting nature. The prepared adhesive drug polymer was characterized by FTIR, 1H-NMR spectroscopes, thermo gravimetric analysis TGA and DSC were careful. Physical properties of prepared polymer was quiet, Biological activity was studied for adhesive drug polymer, this new adhesive drug biological polymers were applied on different infected mice and wounds, It gave outstanding results and compliance mice infected with a full recovery by a short period of time. The prepared drug copolymer was analyzed in different pH values at 37 0C in vitro study and controlled drug release was messured through three days. The rate of hydrolysis in basic medium was found higher than acidic medium. Asuntomessuja on järjestetty Suomessa vuodesta 1970 lähes vuosittain. Vuonna 2018 asuntomessut järjestettiin Porin Karjarannan alueella. Jo messujen järjestelyn alkuvaiheessa mukaan suunnitteluprosessiin haluttiin ottaa kuvataiteilijoita. Tavoitteena oli, että yhdessä kaupunkisuunnittelijoiden kanssa taiteilijat kehittäisivät alueen asuin- ja elinympäristöä. Tätä tukemaan järjestettiin taidekilpailu Satakunnan alueen taiteilijoille. Tässä artikkelissa kohteenani on Karjarannan alueen suunnitteluprosessi. Tarkastelen sitä, toteutuiko Karjarannan taidekilpailun kautta yhteissuunnittelua, ja jos näin tapahtui, missä vaiheessa taide sisällytettiin suunnitteluprosessiin. Kyselyn avulla tutkin sitä, kuinka asukkaat suhtautuvat asiantuntijavetoiseen taidekilpailuun. Millaista julkista taidetta asukkaat tahtoisivat asumisympäristöönsä? Viittaan Tarja Kekäläisen, Laura Uimosen, Malcolm Milesin, Cher Kraus Knightin ja Sharon Zukinin julkista taidetta koskeviin teoriakeskusteluihin. Tutkimusmateriaalina olen käyttänyt kirjallista ja kuvamateriaalia Karjarannan taidekilpailusta sekä haastatteluja.Tutkimus osoittaa, että Karjarannan taidekilpailu edustaa Suomessa yleisesti käytettävää mallia siitä, kuinka julkisen taiteen suunnittelu ja kilpailut yleensä etenevät. Yhteissuunnittelu toteutui kilpailun työryhmän ja osallistuvien taiteilijoiden välillä. Kyselytutkimuksen tuloksen puolestaan osoittavat, että korkea osuus vastaajista kannattaa kansalaisten oikeutta ilmaista mielipiteensä taidekilpailuista. Vastaajat näkisivät asuinalueella mieluiten sellaista taidetta, joka viittaa alueen historiaan. Abstract:

This paper describes the development of a suitable algorithm to compute the potential of tipping-over for vehicles that carry manipulators. The energy method developed by Messuri and Klein (1985) is extended here to quantitatively reflect the effect of forces and moments arising from the manipulation of the implement. The amount of the impact energy that can be sustained by the vehicle without tipping-over, about each edge of potential overturning is computed. First, the instantaneous onset of instability configuration of the machine about the edge is determined by constructing an equilibrium plane. Next, the work done by all acting forces and moments when the machine is virtually brought to this unstable stance from the current state, is calculated. This work is the indication of the proximity of the machine to tipping-over around that edge. The application of this study is directed at industrial mobile machines that carry human-operated hydraulic manipulators. The algorithm is therefore used to study the stability of an excavator based log-loader. Simulation studies clearly show the importance of inertial loads in determining the stability of such machines.

Despite decades of research, it remains surprisingly difficult to identify the origins of the works preserved in the hoard of Coptic manuscripts discovered at Nag Hammadi in 1945. Even as unearthed “Gnostic” gospels continue to make headlines, many academics repent intoning these old, fiery heretics, and some have even called for an all-out dispensation of the term “Gnosticism.”2 Yet a felicitous piece of external evidence seems to offer a more stable foundation for identifying the date and sectarian provenance of several of the most difficult works discovered at Nag Hammadi, the so-called “Platonizing” treatises of the “Sethian school” of Gnosticism.3 Porphyry, the top pupil of the Neoplatonic philosopher Plotinus (third century C.E.), remarks that, there were in his [Plotinus's] time Christians of many kinds, and especially certain heretics who based their teachings on the ancient philosophy. They were followers of Adelphius and Aculinus, who possessed a lot of writings by Alexander the Libyan, Philocomus, Demostratus and Lydus, and also brandished apocalyptic works of Zoroaster, Zostrianus, Nicotheus, Allogenes, Messus and others of that kind.4

Abstract:

Background: Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) is increasingly used in the field of oncology. Many of the mechanisms of action of CAP, such as inhibiting proliferation, DNA breakage, or the destruction of cell membrane integrity, have been investigated in many different types of tumors. In this regard, data are available from both in vivo and in vitro studies. Not only the direct treatment of a tumor but also the influence on its blood supply play a decisive role in the success of the therapy and the patient’s further prognosis. Whether the CAP influences this process is unknown, and the first indications in this regard are addressed in this study. Methods: Two different devices, kINPen and MiniJet, were used as CAP sources. Human endothelial cell line HDMEC were treated directly and indirectly with CAP, and growth kinetics were performed. To indicate apoptotic processes, caspase-3/7 assay and TUNEL assay were used. The influence of CAP on cellular metabolism was examined using the MTT and glucose assay. After CAP exposure, tube formation assay was performed to examine the capillary tube formation abilities of HDMEC and their migration was messured in separate assays. To investigate in a possible mutagenic effect of CAP treatment, a hypoxanthine-guanine-phosphoribosyl-transferase assay with non malignant cell (CCL-93) line was performed. Results: The direct CAP treatment of the HDMEC showed a robust growth-inhibiting effect, but the indirect one did not. The MMT assay showed an apparent reduction in cell metabolism in the first 24 h after CAP treatment, which appeared to normalize 48 h and 72 h after CAP application. These results were also confirmed by the glucose assay. The caspase 3/7 assay and TUNEL assay showed a significant increase in apoptotic processes in the HDMEC after CAP treatment. These results were independent of the CAP device. Both the migration and tube formation of HDMEC were significant inhibited after CAP-treatment. No malignant effects could be demonstrated by the CAP treatment on a non-malignant cell line.

Abstract:

ABSTRACTThis article examines generational continuity and kinship patterns in Willingham (England) between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries and in Kami-shiojiri (Japan) in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. In Willingham few families continued to survive in a given locality for more than a couple of generations in the male line. Yet at the same time local testators left bequests to a wide range of kin in their wills, indicating that, despite the mobility of the population, kinship ties remained important and were acknowledged. For Kami-shiojiri, the almost continuous series of Shumon Aratame-cho (religious faith registers) reveals a gradual change towards smaller and simpler household structures (Ie). In addition, occasional abrupt increases in the numbers of households and in the numbers of messuages (dwelling units) imply that the community as a whole and/or the local overlord did sometimes intervene to reconstruct sections of the village economy and the use of household labour. Households in Kami-shiojiri were larger and more complex than those in England and the population was much more stable, with the mobility rate about half that reported for England. The extent of variation in inheritance patterns within both populations is also discussed, showing that some families persisted for several generations in Willingham and that in Kami-shiojiri more than a third of cases of change of headship of the household, involved a successor who was not the eldest son of the previous head.
