Abstract. The objective of this study was to investigate whether natural stockmanship training can be effective in the elimination of avoidance reactions by generating submissive behaviour in dairy cattle. The training session was divided into two procedures: natural stockmanship training focused on getting a submissive response to human approach; natural halter training focused on acceptance of stroking with a halter and fitting it. Both procedures were conducted on unrestrained animals by skilled trainer. Two tests were developed to assess the effectiveness of the method: »udder touching« te

Today, compact-star mergers are typically studied via state-of-the-art computational fluid dynamics codes. The natural treatment of vacuum and the ability to represent highly irregular morphologies make SPH an excellent tool for the study of compact-star binaries and mergers. Background: This study aims to systematically examine the cardiopulmonary functions in children with pectus excavatum and to compare the obtained findings with the Haller Index. Methods: Between September 2017 and June 2018, medical records of a total of 31 patients (27 males, 4 females; mean age: 14.8±2.0 years; range, 9 to 18 years) with pectus excavatum were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into Group 1 (<2.5), Group 2 (2.5 to 3.19), and Group 3 (>3.2) according to the Haller Index. Euler path is one of the most interesting and widely discussed topics in graph theory. An Euler path (or Euler trail) is a path that visits every edge of a graph exactly once. Similarly, an Euler circuit (or Euler cycle) is an Euler trail that starts and ends on the same node of a graph. A graph having Euler path is called Euler graph. While tracing Euler graph, one may halt at arbitrary nodes while some of its edges left unvisited. In this paper, we have proposed some precautionary steps that should be considered in exploring a deadlock-free Euler path, i.e., without being halted at any node.

Distribution system is the final section of the electrical power system, apart from the transmission and generation system. The distribution system acts as the interface that connects the high-voltage network to the low-voltage consumer service point. Consequently, the distribution system contributes the most of the overall losses in the electrical power system. Hence, evolutionary computation was introduced to accomplish a reduction of the previously said losses. The evolutionary computation involves optimization techniques to allocate distributed generation (DG) to the distribution system. U
