Abstract:
In order to strengthen the cooperation ability between the owner and the consultant and improve the project management performance of the whole process engineering consulting, this study firstly introduces knowledge sharing as a mediator variable and constructs a theoretical model between trust and contract governance—knowledge sharing—project management performance. A structural equation model was then used to empirically test the questionnaire data. The results show that contract governance indirectly promotes project performance through the intermediary of explicit knowledge sharing, and trust indirectly promotes project performance through the intermediary of knowledge sharing (explicit knowledge sharing and tacit knowledge sharing). Based on the above, for further analysis of the complex antecedent configuration and improvement path that affect management performance, fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis was used for group analysis with contract governance, trust, explicit knowledge sharing, and tacit knowledge sharing as conditional variables and project management performance as the outcome variable. The results show that there are two parallel paths that can improve the whole process engineering consulting project management performance: contract governance*explicit knowledge sharing*tacit knowledge sharing→project management performance and contract governance*trust*explicit knowledge sharing→project management performance. Finally, through analysis of the research results, it is suggested that in whole process engineering consulting projects, the owner and the consultant should actively promote the willingness and behavior of the consultant to share knowledge based on therational use of trust and contract governance, to better improve project management performance.

Abstract:
The article reveals the state and prospects for the development consulting’s management for international scientific and technical cooperation in Europe and Ukraine. It is shown that the existing gap between the Ukrainian scientific and technical community and the world can be overcome with the use of modern information tools and means of digital communications. To increase the intensity scientific and technical communications of Ukrainian scientists with European scientific and technical space, it is proposed to develop consulting based on a specialized national Internet portal. The essence of the main concepts of consulting in international scientific and technical activity is analyzed in detail. Certain problems were identified and an assessment of factors influencing the implementation of consulting was carried out in order to intensify the participation of domestic scientists in international projects. The special place of national contact points in the organization of consulting in international scientific and technical cooperation is also defined. The analysis of national portals of European countries was carried out and the factors of their influence on the implementation of consulting in scientific and technical activities were evaluated. Recommendations for the creation of an information system of the national portal of Ukraine to promote the development of consulting management processes in international scientific and technical cooperation are proposed. It is shown that this will allow further development of new methods for identifying indicators, using which it will be possible to manage the effectiveness of consulting in the field of international scientific and technical cooperation.

Full text
Abstract:
PURPOSE: This paper proposes a triangular relationship between business consulting, knowledge absorptive capacity, and innovativeness. The role of knowledge absorptive capacity in stimulating the impact of business consulting on innovativeness is studied. METHODOLOGY: An empirical study is conducted using the CATI method, and it is based on data concerning 382 Polish micro and small enterprises. Qualitative variables reflecting using business consulting, knowledge absorptive capacity and innovativeness are defined. The multivariate discrete choice model taking into account relationships among these constructs, is proposed and its parameters are estimated. FINDINGS: The results of the empirical research indicate that business consulting in Poland and similar countries may help firms implement innovative solutions. Knowledge absorptive capacity stimulates innovativeness and has a positive impact on the relationship between using business consulting and improvement in innovativeness. Though the frequency of using business consulting is an important factor in improving innovativeness, cooperation between a consultant and a manager matters more. IMPLICATIONS: Results of the empirical research indicate that cooperation between a consultant and a manager may help reduce differences of opinion and internal conflicts. A higher propensity to cooperate may significantly improve the functioning of an enterprise. Business consulting has an indirect and direct effect on innovativeness. It has a positive impact on knowledge absorptive capacity, while better knowledge stimulates innovativeness. ORIGINALITY AND VALUE: An original triangular model of the relationship between business consulting, knowledge absorptive capacity, and innovativeness is proposed. Advanced econometric methods are used in order to find complex relationships between using business consulting, knowledge absorptive capacity, and improvement in innovativeness. Moreover, results of the estimation of the parameters of the econometric model provide interesting recommendations for policies supporting the development of business consulting in the Polish economy.

Abstract:
The article, based on the analysis of the evolution of the service sector, examines the scientific and theoretical foundations of consulting activities, highlighting aspects of the structure, types of consulting, as well as the reasons for the demand for consulting services. In the process of scientific research is determined by the use of methods of analysis, synthesis, grouping, formed the conditions for the spread of demand for consulting services in the world. It is determined that the problems that arise in modern enterprises and the significant level of uncertainty in the business environment, which causes uncertainty for managers, necessitate seeking help. The rapid progress of management consulting is also due to the lack of agreed standards (as opposed to such types of consulting as law or accounting), which allows almost any specialist, even a little knowledgeable in this matter, to consult. Today, there is a trend of colonization by American and European consulting markets in Asia, India and Eastern Europe. Thanks to this geopolitics, leading consulting firms receive more than a third of their profits. Recently, counselling in the social and public sectors has become attractive and profitable. Significant attention in the study is focused on the level of competition in the field of consulting in the world. Therefore, it is determined that the effectiveness of counseling directly depends on the personal participation and professionalism of a particular counselor. In this regard, the mutual understanding of the consultant and the client and their fruitful cooperation become especially important. The problems, tendencies and challenges faced by enterprises that require the involvement of external business consultants are analyzed, as well as the problems that accompany consulting companies in the process of activity. The analysis emphasized the peculiarities of the process of managing business units, as well as the impact on the level of economic security of economic entities.

Abstract:
Abstract Background Staphylococcus epidermidis is a leading cause of healthcare-associated bacteremia, but the clinical course of S. epidermidis isolated from blood cultures ranges from contamination to serious deep seated infections. We tested the hypothesis that the genetic characteristics of S. epidermidis isolated from blood cultures are significantly associated with disease severity using whole genome sequencing (WGS). Methods We performed WGS of 163 S. epidermidis isolates from a large prospective multicenter, randomized control trial that assessed the safety and efficacy of algorithm-based treatment of patients with staphylococcal bacteremia (ClinicalTrials.gov #NCT01191840). Patient’s infection types were divided into simple (including possible contamination), uncomplicated and complicated bacteremia. Failure was defined as persistent signs and symptoms of infection at 72 hours, persistent bacteremia at 7 days, relapse, complications or overall mortality within 28 days of therapy. WGS was performed using Illumina Miseq, followed by in silico multi-locus sequence type identification and phylogenomic analysis using kSNP. Results Of the 163 isolates analyzed, 39 sequence types (STs) were identified with ST2 and ST5 isolates being most frequently identified (21% and 20%, respectively). ST2 and ST5 isolates were significantly more likely associated with uncomplicated and complicated infections rather than simple bacteremia (P = 0.01 by χ2 test). By multivariate regression analysis, having an ST2 or ST5 S. epidermidis bacteremia was an independent predictor of a complicated infection (odds ratio 4.28, 95% CI 1.36–13.42). Using WGS based branching points rather than sequence typing allowed for additional strengthening of the association of S. epidermidis genetic clustering and clinical infection types (figure). Although there was no significant difference in failure rates among patients infected with different STs, ST2/ST5 strains were significantly more likely to cause relapsing infections (85.7%, P = 0.02). Conclusion WGS could offer a prognostic tool in the management of S. epidermidis bacteremia. ST2 and ST5 strains may help predict a complicated bacteremia course which would warrant appropriate antimicrobial therapy. Disclosures T. L. Holland, Basilea: Consultant, Consulting fee. Abstract:
In the present-day business environment, management consulting has emerged as a key strategic resource for enterprises seeking to enhance their market position and improve competitiveness. This study aims to explore the specific characteristics and applications of management consulting in modern enterprises. A range of scientific methods were employed, including analytical methods to assess the current state of the global management consulting market, systematization methods to outline the primary opportunities and risks associated with management consulting in relation to enterprise competitiveness, and generalization methods to identify prevailing trends in the development of management consulting in Ukraine. The findings suggest that management consulting serves as a vital asset for organizations striving to strengthen their market presence, optimize operational efficiency, and adapt to the evolving challenges of the modern economy. The results indicate that engaging management consultants not only improves overall productivity but also enables firms to respond more swiftly and effectively to shifts in market conditions and competitive pressures. Through the involvement of external experts, enterprises are able to focus on core business processes while relying on specialized knowledge to address complex challenges. This, in turn, facilitates innovation and accelerates decision-making processes. Several key trends shaping the future of management consulting in Ukraine were identified by authors. These include the increasing demand for strategic consulting services to support economic recovery, the rising prominence of human resource (HR) consulting for optimizing workforce management, the growing importance of operational consulting for process optimization, and the integration of digital technologies for enterprise automation and digital transformation. Future research should investigate comparative developments in management consulting between Ukraine and other countries with well-established consulting markets.

Abstract:
This research explores the potential of large language models (LLMs) to revolutionize client communication in management consulting. Through a comprehensive analysis of current LLM capabilities and consulting industry needs, we propose a framework for integrating these AI technologies to enhance consultant-client interactions. Our mixed-methods study combines a systematic literature review, expert interviews, and a quantitative survey of 250 consulting professionals. Results indicate that LLMs can significantly improve communication efficiency, personalization, and knowledge transfer in consulting engagements. Key applications include automated report generation, real-time language translation, and AI-assisted Q&A systems. However, challenges around data privacy, model bias, and maintaining the human touch in consulting relationships must be addressed. This paper contributes to the growing body of research on AI applications in professional services and offers practical guidelines for consulting firms seeking to leverage LLMs responsibly.

Abstract:
Technostress (TS) has previously been addressed mainly from a broader organizational perspective, leaving more specific salient settings in the background. This paper bridges this gap by exploring TS dynamics in consulting companies in Germany, a setting that was previously little investigated but is highly TS-prone. This study uses an exploratory mixed-methods approach (MMR) with three components: 1) quantitative validation of the TS test-battery, 2) qualitative exploration of workplace TS through employee experiences, and 3) analysis of the relationship between TS experiences and demographics (age, gender, rank). Quantitative data representativeness is achieved through context-specific test-battery validation and a tailored questionnaire. 702 consulting company employees (based in Germany, aged 18-65) of a renowned management consulting firm participated (m = 417, f = 275). Qualitative data representativeness was ensured through in-depth interviews with 15 employees of different ages, genders, and ranks and company affiliations (Accenture, Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Roland Berger). Quantitative results indicated that female employees and those above 35 experienced higher levels of Techno-Complexity. Female employees experienced higher TS overall, reflected in their higher Techno-Overload, Techno-Invasion, and Techno-Complexity scores. This applied even to female employees who disagreed with the gender-difference tendency. Additional findings indicated that senior-ranking employees experienced more Techno-Overload and Techno-Invasion. Qualitative results highlighted three themes that further shape the psychological profile of TS in the investigated workplace: a) factors influencing TS, b) TS impact on workplace habits, and c) coping strategies. These findings emphasize that understanding the relationship between creators and demographics is crucial for mitigating consulting workplace TS.

Abstract:
Abstract Background Diagnosis and management of nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) lung disease is challenging for clinicians due to its rarity and the need for complicated, multidrug antibiotic regimens. The objective of this study was to determine whether online educational interventions can effectively address knowledge gaps among ID specialists regarding diagnosis and treatment of patients with NTM lung disease. Methods Two educational interventions, consisting of a text-based activity with interactive questions, and a video-based discussion between two experts, were developed and made available online. Educational impact of each intervention was assessed using a 3-question repeated pairs pre-/post-assessment study design. Data from a sampling of learners were collected from September 11, 2017 through January 17, 2018. Statistical analyses included a paired (within-physician) two-tailed t-test and McNemar’s χ2 statistic, with Cramer’s V to determine the overall effect of each intervention. Results Overall, a total of 1,273 ID specialist learners participated in the two activities from launch through April 30, 2018. Analysis demonstrated a significant improvement (P < 0.05) in overall knowledge with considerable educational impact (V = 0.195 and 0.259). Improvements in specific areas included (figure). Despite gains in knowledge, additional gaps were also identified: (1) Regarding treatment of M. abscessus lung disease, 18% were unable to discern between guideline recommended therapies for M. abscessus and MAC complex NTM, and an additional 14% would treat with a less aggressive, noncurative regimen (n = 211), and (2) regarding treatment of fibrocavitary MAC complex NTM; nearly one-third (31%) would treat a using a thrice-weekly regimen, despite an indication for a daily regimen (n = 114). Conclusion Participation in interactive text-based as well as video-based activities improved the ability of ID specialists to make evidence-based decisions in the care of NTM lung disease. The findings also uncovered educational needs that warrant further education in selecting appropriate therapeutic regimens particularly in cases where aggressive therapy is indicated. Disclosures E. Abstract:
In conditions of growing competition and economic instability, the key element of effective oper-ation forany organization is the ability to constantly develop, implement new technologies, and quickly adapt. As a result, many companies require expert assistance in identifying organizational problems, developing, and implementing ways to solve them. This underscores the increasing role of consulting as a leading institution in the economy and as a tool for ensuring the viability of enterprises. This article is dedicated to exploring the theoretical foundations and peculiarities of using for-malization methods toimprove business processes in consulting company activities. The essence of the main concepts is defined, and an analysis of the characteristics and scope of using descriptive, logical, symbolic, and mathematical formalization methods is conducted. The material from scientific works of domestic and foreign authors regarding the purpose and directions of formalization application in or-ganizational management is summarized. The role of formalization methods in implementing a process approach as the primary tool for designing, documenting, measuring, monitoring, and controlling busi-ness processes is justified. The nature of management consulting is characterized as an intra-organizational system for en-suring management efficiency, as well as a separate type ofeconomic activity. The use of formalization methods in consulting is considered both as a consulting tool in projects to improve the business pro-cesses of client organizations and as a way to increase the effectiveness of management decisions within the consulting company itself.Based on the Process Classification Framework proposed by APQC, a structure of business pro-cesses for a consulting company is suggested, and the characteristics and advantages of using formali-zation methods to improve them are described. The concept of business process consistency is proposed to characterize the property of its reproducibility with the provision of stable identity of results. It is noted that an important factor in achieving business process consistency is trainingpersonnel in both "reading" formalized procedure descriptions and the corresponding skills for their execution.

Abstract:
Objective Remote or mobile consulting is being promoted to strengthen health systems, deliver universal health coverage and facilitate safe clinical communication during coronavirus disease 2019 and beyond. We explored whether mobile consulting is a viable option for communities with minimal resources in low- and middle-income countries. Methods We reviewed evidence published since 2018 about mobile consulting in low- and middle-income countries and undertook a scoping study (pre-coronavirus disease) in two rural settings (Pakistan and Tanzania) and five urban slums (Kenya, Nigeria and Bangladesh), using policy/document review, secondary analysis of survey data (from the urban sites) and thematic analysis of interviews/workshops with community members, healthcare workers, digital/telecommunications experts, mobile consulting providers, and local and national decision-makers. Project advisory groups guided the study in each country. Results We reviewed four empirical studies and seven reviews, analysed data from 5322 urban slum households and engaged with 424 stakeholders in rural and urban sites. Regulatory frameworks are available in each country. Mobile consulting services are operating through provider platforms ( n = 5–17) and, at the community level, some direct experience of mobile consulting with healthcare workers using their own phones was reported – for emergencies, advice and care follow-up. Stakeholder willingness was high, provided challenges are addressed in technology, infrastructure, data security, confidentiality, acceptability and health system integration. Mobile consulting can reduce affordability barriers and facilitate care-seeking practices. Conclusions There are indications of readiness for mobile consulting in communities with minimal resources. However, wider system strengthening is needed to bolster referrals, specialist services, laboratories and supply chains to fully realise the continuity of care and responsiveness that mobile consulting services offer, particularly during/beyond coronavirus disease 2019.

Abstract:
Scientists divide the entire set of consulting companies in the world into several groups. Thus, the first group includes the “big four” companies. The second group of consulting companies are the so-called “thought factories”, which do not just provide consulting services, but offer an unusual and non-standard way out of a difficult situation, offering creative ideas. The next group of companies are subject-oriented companies whose activities are limited to one or more areas, for example, marketing research, recruitment or business planning. Most research results show that the sector of consulting services is developing at a faster pace than other sectors of the world economy. In the developed countries of the world, the share of the service sector is constantly growing, while the positive trend of this sector is characterized by the dynamic development of the consulting services market. Summing up, it is possible to state with great certainty (as evidenced by research results) that the sector of consulting services is developing at a faster pace than other sectors of the world economy. In the developed countries of the world, the share of the service sector is constantly growing, while the positive trend of this sector characterizes the development of the consulting services market. Let’s focus on the consulting process, which is related to agricultural products, because it is more complicated than industrial and other types of consulting, which is determined by the variety of methods, techniques and its implementation. The difference between agricultural business and other types of business.

Abstract:
This article investigates knowledge management readiness at an engineering consulting firm in South Africa known as Zutari (Pty) Ltd, or Zutari, and suggest a strategy to achieve readiness in engineering firms. Engineering consulting firms are knowledge-intensive firms that offer specialised services in the provision of independent expert knowledge in the fields of engineering, science and other related areas in the public and private sectors, infrastructure, and construction sectors Although knowledge management is widely acknowledged as a strategic enabler in engineering consulting firms, most initiatives fail, making a knowledge management readiness assessment essential before implementation. The target population was Zutari’s permanently employed technical professionals. Stratified and systematic sampling methods were applied to select a sample of 285 technical professionals. A questionnaire was used to gather quantitative data. The assessment model of Aydin and Tasci (2005) was used to assign readiness levels for the critical success factors under investigation. The findings reveal that the level of knowledge management awareness among Sutaria staff is quite high, even though knowledge management is practised informally. A knowledge management readiness strategy is suggested to get Sutaria to the expected level of readiness. Knowledge management is widely acknowledged as a strategic enabler by employees in Zutari, with information technology currently the only critical success factor at the expected level of readiness. A knowledge management strategy is suggested to assist Sutaria in achieving the expected level of readiness. Further research could test the effectiveness of the readiness strategy in different contexts using mixed methods research. This research will add new knowledge to the body of knowledge in the engineering consulting sector and help firms planning to implement knowledge management. Not many studies have been conducted to test the organisational readiness for knowledge management in engineering consulting firms. This article adds to the body of knowledge in this field.

Abstract:
Today, the majority of Ukrainian enterprises do not effectively manage their tax obligations. This state of affairs is mostly due to the lack of practical use-oriented tools and methods of organizing the management system of the tax component of the economic activity of the enterprise. This especially applies to the mechanism for managing tax liabilities of small enterprises. The purpose of the article is to analyze the theoretical and practical foundations of the functioning of the national institute of tax consulting as a method of improving the management of tax liabilities of small enterprises and to determine the vector of development of the tax consulting market in Ukraine. The peculiarities of the use of tools at each stage of the implementation of the concept of management of tax liabilities of the business entity, which make it possible to save money and increase the profits of the enterprise, have been studied. The main components of the concept of tax liability management are clarified. It has been proven that it is expedient to implement the management of tax obligations of small enterprises through the involvement of consulting firms, and the management of their financial flows through the creation of a single financial center that would allow attracting and distributing financial resources, managing costs, including the costs of fulfilling tax obligations. It was determined that one of the most common methods of obtaining tax advice in Ukraine today is the information and reference services and consultations of the State Tax Service of Ukraine. However, their availability and quality do not allow effective management of tax liabilities for small businesses. This makes it expedient for small businesses to use consulting services in the field of taxation. It has been proven that in Ukraine the development of the institute of tax consulting through consulting firms is just taking shape. Therefore, it is necessary to build an effective mechanism of tax consulting based on a thorough study of its theoretical and methodological foundations, relying on the positive experience of developed countries in this field under the conditions of its adaptation to national conditions.

Abstract:
The article reveals the features of continuing professional education as an important element of the organizational structure of the existing education system in Russia. Continuing professional education as an object that has its own organizational structure appears as a carrier of the need for effective management, in the rationalization of the process of forming various management decisions. In general, the management of the system of continuing professional education in our country should be considered successful, but some management problems remain unresolved. One of them is the problem of increasing the level of validity of management decisions: strategic, tactical, operational, improving the quality, reliability and degree of their compliance with the real conditions of the system of continuing professional education. As part of the solution to these problems, the necessity of introducing management consulting tools into the management of continuing professional education organizations is substantiated. The features of management consulting, its methodology and methods are considered. The concept of "combined consulting" in the field of continuing professional education is introduced. It is shown that consulting, as professional assistance in solving key problems and achieving sustainable success in the activities of organizations of the system of continuing professional education, is a management reserve, the rational use of which will ensure the formation of an innovative process, which is the most important factor in the strategic adaptation of the system of continuing professional education in a dynamically developing external environment.

Abstract:
The article reveals the essence of anti-crisis management and the role of consulting support in this area. One of the ways to improve the efficiency of the enterprise is to introduce an anti-crisis management system, even in those conditions when the crisis has not yet occurred, because the key to the company’s success is not only a quick response to emerging problems, but also their prevention. In the scientific literature, there is no single interpretation of the essence of the concept of anti- crisis management, since it is quite multifaceted and its methods can be used in different conditions of activity, even the most favorable. Anti-crisis management involves the management of crisis phenomena, their identification, evaluation, determination of ways to prevent or overcome them, assessment of possible risks and scenarios for the development of the enterprise and it is an integral part of the management system as a whole. There are the following types of anti-crisis management: anticipative, preventive and reactive. The company does not always have the opportunity to develop and implement anti-crisis management mechanisms itself. This is due to the lack of specialists with appropriate qualifications, the lack of funds necessary to pay for the work of such specialists on an ongoing basis, the lack of awareness of the management about the seriousness of the situation. In this case, enterprises engage consulting firms to solve such problems. Consulting as a direction of activity in the global business environment occupies a significant place and plays an important role in the activity. Consulting in the field of anti-crisis management involves the need to implement certain measures, namely: assessment of the financial condition and financial capabilities of the enterprise; assessment of the possibility of bankruptcy and restructuring of the company; development of measures to eliminate financial threats to the enterprise; support during the re-issuance of legal documents, if necessary; assistance in reconfiguring the business to other activities, if necessary; search for enterprises for further cooperation or association; development of measures to increase competitiveness, market research, improvement of advertising and pricing policy, change or expansion of sales markets; search and selection of new partners; assistance in identifying sources of funding, searching for investors.

Abstract:
Management consulting may be defined as a kind of professional support to managers in analysing and solving practical problems. It enables the transfer of successful management system from one enterprise to another or from one organization to another. When an enterprise in Serbia hires consultants it can be seen as their investment in “know-how”, i.e. non-material assets of the enterprise. The economic effectiveness of such investment will be higher if it is achieved in a way that the client could henceforth independently solve or avoid an occurrence of similar business problem. Naturally, thereby a need for consulting management does not stop, because there are also other aspects of doing business, which require additional professional help regarding consulting and knowledge transfer. This research aims to determine the im pact of consulting management on enterprise development in Serbia. The research deals with the identification of the key problems of the development of enterprises in Serbia and points to the need for their solution by hiring management consultants. Using factor analysis, certain factors, which have impact on the enterprises’ improvement of business performance, will be singled out, including consulting management, in order to ascertain the impact of each factor on the improvement of performance. An additional motivation for dealing with this topic is to raise awareness among stakeholders (managers, consultants, employees, and other business actors) about the role of consultants in preparing business solutions and recommendations for managers based on empirical research and the application of scientific methods.
