Bagasse alkali lignin is the primary constituent of pulping black liquor. The phenolic products such as phenol, 2,6-dimethoxy-phenol and 2-methoxy-phenol were obtained by catalytic liquefaction from bagasse alkali lignin, with the aim of enhancing its use value. In the investigation, under optimal conditions, using SiO2-Al2O3 or FeS as catalyst, the phenols yield reached 54.10% and 55.18%, respectively. HPLC spectrum showed that the phenolic products of them were different. FT-IR and H-NMR spectrums showed that, using SiO2-Al2O3 as the catalyst, the α-O-4 and β-O-4 ether bonds and C-Cα bonds o

Antioxidant activity of the acetone extracts of the mushrooms Macrolepiota procera and Chlorophyllum rhacodes has been screened in vitro by using different methods (DPPH radical scavenging and reducing power assay), and also it has been determined the total phenolic compounds as total flavonoid content. The research findings indicate that the acetone extract of M. procera demonstrated superior antioxidant activities when compared to C. rhacodes. Similarly, the mushroom M. procera displayed a more pronounced effect on reducing power. In addition, the total content of phenol and flavonoid in ext

Isoeugenol (2-methoxy-4-[(E)-prop-1-enyl] phenol) is a compound resulting from the isomerization of eugenol contained in clove oil (Syzygium aromaticum). Isoeugenol can be used as a precursor for vanillin biosynthesis through the biotransformation pathway. In this research, the biotransformation of isoeugenol was carried out using Pseudomonas aeruginosa as an enzyme- biocatalyst agent. The parameters used in this research include the effect of substrate concentrations of 0.5; 1; 1.5; and 2% v/v, incubation times of 24; 48; 72; and 96 hours, as well as extracting solvents with ethyl acetate and

Abstract:
This research was aimed to develop an active film from chitosan film incorporated with green tea extract to enhance antioxidant and antimicrobial properties in order to be used for food shelf life extension. The experiments were divided into 3 parts. Firstly, chitosan-based film preparation and modification were determined. The results suggested that the optimum chitosan films could be prepared from 2% chitosan in 1% acetic acid. However, the chitosan film was brittle and had low flexibility. Mechanical property of chitosan film was modified by adding different concentrations of glycerol, as a
