Today’s ZOO is varied mosaic of buildings and elements in the whole typological scale. Czech republic is country with affluent history and proceeded structure today‘s zoological gardens and parcs. But comprehensive draft view of solue problems is missing. This thesis has next basic objectives: Carry out value historical development of coexistence man and animals, constructions of ZOO gardens and today’s condition. a) apply systematical categorization of ZOO buildings with accent for complex expositions of ecosystems pavilions. b) analyse basic today’s principles of design ZOO buildings with a view to pavilions of ecosystems. c) produce comprehensive document like data for architectural practice and for education of new architect – specialist. This paper will serve for education too. That is why presentation of describe principles on the real example from own practice and on the school designs from my classes is attach. The basic task, which follow from objective of the thesis, is definition of principles for design of ecosystems pavilions, like top representative of ZOO exposition buildings. It is definition of basic character, description of general and specific principles above all.

Duomenų gavybos sistemos apibūdinamos kaip žinios, kurios pasinaudojant įvairiais statistiniais, matematiniais, modelių atpažinimo metodais yra apibendrinamos ir tinkamai apdorojamos. Pasinaudojant duomenų gavybos technologijomis ieškoma naujų priklausomybių, prasmingų dėsningumų tarp organizacijos duomenų, tendencijų tarp verslo procesų, duomenų atvaizdavimo modelių, naujos ir nežinomos informacijos apie verslo procesus. Duomenų gavybos sistemų analizavimas yra svarbus ne tik organizacijoms. Norint prisitaikyti prie rinkos pokyčių, svarbu laiku ir tinkamai pateikti informaciją studentams, paskaitų metu supažindinti su aktualiausia informacija, priartinti studijų programas prie rinkos pokyčių. Pagrindinis darbo tikslas yra ištirti ir palyginti duomenų gavybos sistemas, remiantis gautais rezultatais, sudaryti duomenų gavybos metodiką ir suprojektuoti laboratorinius darbus, kurie padėtų atskleisti duomenų gavybos reikšmę mokymosi procese bei šiuolaikinėje įmonėje. Magistrinio darbo tikslui pasiekti iškelti tokie uždaviniai: • Atliktų tyrimų apžvalga, literatūros analizė; • Duomenų gavybos technologijų ir algoritmų analizė; • Programinės įrangos analizė; • Duomenų gavybos proceso modelio projektavimas; • Laboratorinių darbų projektavimas. [toliau žr. visą tekstą]Systems of data mining are defined as knowledge, which using various statistic, mathematical, models for patterns recognition methods, is generalized and properly processed. Applying technologies of data mining it is being searched for new subordinations, meaningful consistent patterns between an organization’s data, tendencies among business processes, reflective model-based data, new and unfamiliar information about business processes. Analysis of data mining systems is relevant not only for organizations. In order to adjust to alterations of market, it is important to provide information to students on time and properly, during sessions students should get acquainted with current information, studies programs should be approach towards alterations of market. The main aim of the work is to explore and compare systems of data mining with reference to received results, to make methodology of data mining and to project laboratory works which could help to reveal the importance of data mining in a process of learning and in a modern enterprise. The goal of this thesis is to summarize and to describe all available know-how and experiences of Adastra employees related to Data Quality Audit in organization. The entire thesis should serve as a guideline for sales and implementation staff within the Adastra Corp. The first part of this thesis (chapter 2 and 3) is generally concerned with Data Quality, i.e. provides various definitions of Data Quality, points out importance/relevance of Data Quality in organization and describes the most important tools and Data Quality Management Solutions. The second part (chapter 4 and 5) uses the theoretical basis of the previous chapters and form the main methodical part of this thesis. Chapter 4 is rather focused on business/sales side, defines the most important terms and used principles, and is considered as a necessary precondition for correct understanding following chapter. Chapter 5 shows detailed procedures of Data Quality Audit. Single activities are written in a standardized form to ensure clear, accurate and brief step description. The result of this thesis is the most detailed description of Data Quality Audit in Adastra Corp. including all identified services/products.

The thesis is primary focused on the integrated data warehouse, particularly on a subset -- dependent data marts. The main objectives of this thesis are design the methodology of development and maintenance of dependent data marts and verification methodology usefulness in the real organization. The first part deals with the theoretical definition of terms. It focuses particularly on the definition of terms from Business Intelligence area especially data warehousing and data marts. Each of the terms is described in detail in separate chapters. Business Intelligence area puts emphasis on description of individual components. In data warehousing area are described the data warehouse concepts and content of layers in a data warehouse. Finally, the data mart area is designed to describe dependent and independent data marts and also "special "cases of data marts, likely the semantic layer, and a sandbox. The second part focuses on the design methodology itself. At the beginning of this part is analysis of the existing methodologies and assess their usefulness with connection to designed methodology. The following part describes the current situation in the approach to the development and maintenance of dependent data marts in the organization. At the end of the second part is designed own methodology, which is based in part on the analysis methodology and in part on the analysis of current situation. The third part focuses on usability and usefulness evaluation of methodology in the organization. Evaluation is based on the methodology of criticism from employees in the organization who are directly engaged in designing and maintaining dependent data marts. Finally, the fourth and final part will focus on the description of an alternative solution that could be considered as one of the ways to sustainable development of data warehouse in the organization. It's about comparison architecture based on utilization of semantic layer as oppose to the "three layers" concept of data warehouse by Bill Inmon, which is implemented in the organization. The output evaluates alternative solutions to the current solution.

This dissertation thesis deals with problems of identifying client’s solvency in the insurance business and is drawn for the insurance companies needs. The main target of this work is a construction of methodology, which will provide managers a tool to support their decision making in cases of client solvency assessment. The basic theoretical background, an overview of the current state of the analyzed subject and the description of utilized methods are presented in the introductory part of this work. In following parts of this work is introduced a real database of insurance company’s clients, which serves as a basis to accomplish the defined goal. The source data were subject to a necessary analysis to determine the cross-correlations and variables entering the decision-making model. A large variety of traditional statistical methods, including relevant software were used to analyze the data. Decision-making model was formed with the help of artificial intelligence methods, especially fuzzy logic. The technical realization of the model was made using MATLAB software. The process of insurance company’s client solvency assessment methodology creation is described in detail and elaborated into phases. The fundamental part of the methodology, decision-making model, can be easily modified and adapted to the end user’s specific needs. The text also includes a verification and implementation of the model, an interpretation of the results, a comprehensive client solvency assessment methodology process in insurance business and the definition of contribution of this methodology to practice, theory and pedagogy.

The main purpose of the thesis is to introduce a method for data migration quality assurance or completeness and accuracy testing of migrated data. Method will become part of the knowledge base of Deloitte Czech Republic for projects in the Enterprise Risk Services department. Data migration quality assurance projects carried by Deloitte in the Czech Republic have its own specifics. Although there exists methodology "Systems Development Playbook" which also includes a data migration methodology, the problem especially of the Prague branch is the fact that the procedures and methods for consulting projects in the area of data migration are not described in current methodological documentations including specifics of the Czech and Slovak projects. This represents a risk of inconsistencies in the implementation of this type of consulting projects in case of key employees leaving. Improving procedures and optimization of human resources engagement in data migration projects can't be measurably compared among projects, if there don't exists a basic methodology against which specific projects can be measured. The objectives of the work are achieved by consolidating experience from past projects involving data migration within Deloitte Czech Republic and designing improvement of existing processes by integrating information from external sources and internal sources of the global Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.

The thesis focuses mainly on OLAP technology and its tools using to analyze corporate data. One of the objectives is to define the analytical tools market and provide an overview which shows the current situation concerning those tools on Business Intelligence (BI) market. Another objective is to obtain an overview of some current and future trends in the BI market. The main purpose of the thesis is to create a "methodology" for solving an BI analytical tasks using analytical services in SQL Server 2008 R2 from Microsoft. To achieve these objectives a theoretical analysis of available resources and, in particular consultation with employees of Clever Decision company is used. The main contribution of this work is the development of analytical database itself, which is divided into separate phases where each phase contains best practices and recommendations, including examples.

The following master thesis is focused on creation of methodology for optimal usage of load balancing in data center environment. Thesis is divided into eight chapters. The first chapter describes the reasons why to deal with this topic further. The second chapter summarizes the state of load balancing. This chapter is based on research of already elaborated thesis which were focused on load balancing in different ways. The third chapter summarizes load balancing including its key principles. The fourth chapter describes an actual state of load balancing in data center environment. An observation of real usage of load balancing in selected data center was used for the main purpose of this chapter. The fifth chapter consists of analysis of the currently existing methodologies which are used from the infrastructure projects purpose. The sixth chapter deals with creation of methodology for optimal usage of load balancing in data center. The seventh chapter evaluates usage of methodology by applying of this methodology to real practical example of implementation of load balancing. The eighth chapter summarizes all detected conclusions.

This diploma thesis deals with backup for big volumes of data. Data backup is a overlooked area of information technology and the data can be lost by trivial user error or breakdown on any components. In this thesis is discussed theory of backup - archive bit and his behavior based on various type of backup (full, incremental, differential or combination thereof), duration and frequency of backups or the point of ultimate recovery. In addition there are mentioned rotation schemes Round-Robin, GFS and Tower of Hanoi, where are described their principles and graphic diagram of rotation. In chapter Strategy of backup describes the backup strategy via choosing the right choice, taking into technical and economic parameters. Impact analysis, which is explained also in this chapter, describes the important moments in data recovery. For select the optimal strategy is necessary to consider not only the whole capacity of the backup data, but also the size of the backup window for data storage or storage location. In chapter Media storage you can acquainted with all backup media and their technical parameters that are available on the market and can be used for data backup. In section Guide methodology of large volumes of data backup is designed a backup plan with the necessary inputs for the actual implementation of the backup. The design methodology puts emphasis on regular backups and check their location. On practical demonstration is shown that the rotation scheme Tower of Hanoi are among the smallest need for backup media. A part of this thesis is also design of methodology for backup small amounts of data.

This diploma thesis deals with the data quality management. There are many tools and methodologies to support the data quality management even in Czech market but they are all only for large companies. Small and middle companies can't afford them because of high cost. The first goal of this thesis is to summarize principles of the methodologies and then on the base of the methodologies to suggest more simple methodology for small and middle companies. In the second part of thesis is created and adapted the methodology for a specific company. The first step is to choose the data area of interest in the company. Because of impossibility to buy a software tool to clean data, there are defined relatively simple rules which are base source to create cleaning scripts in SQL language. The scripts are used for automatic data cleaning. On the base of next analyze is decided what data should be cleaned manually. In the next step are described recommendations how to remove duplicities from the database. There is used a functionality of the company's production system. The last step of the methodology is to create a control mechanism which have to keep the required data quality in future. At the end of thesis is made a data research in four data sources. All these sources are from companies using the same production system. The reason of research is to present the overview of data quality and to help with decision about cleaning data in the companies also.

This master's thesis deals with the topic of designing an agile methodology for Business Intelligence projects. The thesis presents the topic of Business Intelligence, methodologies for managing projects and methodologies for data warehouse development. It presents Scrum, BEAM* and Data Vault methodologies as well as approaches like pomodoro, Action Centered Leadership and a 40-hour work week. Based on synthesis of presented methodologies and approaches this thesis defines the methodology for managing Business Intelligence projects. The newly designed methodology HooBI is a minimal methodology for agile management of Business Intelligence projects based on data warehouse, containing Business Intelligence elements and approaches for effective work. The usage of methodology is double verified; firstly, by comparison of managing a completed past project with its alternative of eventual usage of the designed methodology HooBI, secondly by expert review. The Methodology should simplify the development and management of Business Intelligence projects and can be used by professionals in the field of Business Intelligence.

This Ph.D. thesis deals with Open Government Data and the methodology for publication of this kind of data. Public sector bodies hold a significant amount of data that can be reused in innovative way leading to development of new products and services. According to the Open Knowledge Foundation "Open data is data that can be freely used, re-used and redistributed by anyone - subject only, at most, to the requirement to attribute and sharealike." Publication and reuse of Open Government Data can lead to benefits such as increased economic growth. State, society as well as the public sector bodies themselves can benefit from Open Government Data. However the public sector bodies currently face a number of problems and issues when publishing Open Government Data, e.g. regular updates of the published datasets are not always ensured. Different public sector bodies apply different approaches to publication of Open Government Data. The main goal of this thesis is to design the Open Government Data Publication Methodology which should address current problems related to the publication of Open Government Data.

The final thesis focuses on the issue of analyzing the situation of a citizen in connection with a services of the public administration. One of the main goals is to acquaint the reader with the services of the public administration, with the concept of eGovernment and provide a comparison of this area with other countries. These objectives are achieved by studying resources relating to Czech and foreign eGovernment and they are given to the theoretical part. The practical part is devoted to the specific life situations (services) within communication between citizen and public administration. These services were analyzed through a defined methodology to determine the level of friendliness in relation to the user and if necessary, make recommendations for improvement. The main part is devoted to the data box. The reader learns how to set up and activate the data box, what level the user interface is and what functionality can be used in connection with the data box. Benefit of this work is to familiarize the reader with the eGovernment projects in the Czech Republic. Another benefit is to familiarize the reader with the data box to levels that he will be able to use it.

This thesis focuses on developing methodics for performance comparison of data warehouse systems. Firstly, the thesis defines data warehouses in various development stages of organization BI and describes knowledge about data warehouses. Methodics developed in the thesis describes architecture of standardized data warehouse, data flow between areas of data warehouse and processes in data warehouse. Understanding of these concepts is crucial for assurance of methodics applicability. Methodics offer logical progression of steps, which start and include testing of data warehouse systems. The contribution of the thesis is in having guide, what needs to be done when organization must do while testing various systems for data warehouses. Also it describes how this testing should be done on middle level detail, which is the absolute minimum level of abstraction that can be done due to wide applicability of methodics. Methodics offers solution to the problem of performance comparison when organization need to answer question - Which data warehouse system should we use in our organization? However, methodics expects already some knowledge about data warehouse content.

The general aim of this work is to create the basic methodology for assessing casualties of the influence of these systems. The thesis is describing functions and effects antilock and stability systems on vehicle dynamics. Below are possible methods and systems for determining the influence on accident plot. As part of the study was performed measuring the impact of anti-lock system on the vehicle. The result of this work is the basic methodology to the analysis of road accidents involving vehicles with electronic chassis systems.

Automatic data extraction from medical legacy systems into archetype-based systems is analyzed, developed and tested in this work. Electronic health record system (EHRS) is a must in today’s healthcare environment. Lots of up-to-date medical systems are still built with classic development approaches, with semantics hard coded into systems. Modern EHRS standards propose new “two-level” methodology, which is based on separation of knowledge and information levels. This work suggests a methodology for heterogenic medical legacy systems that exist today to be transformed into ones, built with “two-level” methodology. Transformation is based on knowledge, residing in new system. By creating a comprehensive transformation scheme, it is possible to analyze and extract relevant data from semi structured or unstructured text fields with mixed information. Suggested methodology is tested with software prototype by extracting laboratory results of clinical blood test from semi structured fields of cardiology database. Achieved results are about 95% of data successfully transferred from legacy system. This approach preserves medical data accumulated during long years of work and transforms it into more useful form, creating structured data from unstructured text fields. It allows an automatic means of information technologies to be used by medicine expert to analyze and interpret legacy data (draw charts, calculate statistics and so on).

This work deals with the data migration during the process of mergers and acquisitions. The first, theoretical part, defines the general terms concerning mergers and acquisitions, further mentions motives that may lead to it, and the basic stages of the implementation process of mergers and acquisitions. This section also presents brief information on selected methodologies of project management, of which principles are used in the next part, dealing with data migration projects. The aim of this work is to develop a methodology for project management of data migration in mergers and acquisitions process, which may serve as a guide for merging companies and data migration teams. In the methodology there are specified activities and defined procedures to be followed in the various stages of the project life cycle. To each activity the way and necessary prerequisites for carrying out are specified. The methodology also describes common problems with which the data migration project in carrying out the action may be faced and which could threaten the success of the project or its part. For each potential problem a possible way to eliminate it is added, or solutions.

This diploma thesis deals with the use of geographic information systems in issue of facility management. Its purpose is to show the advantages of this connection, mostly the visualization and analytical capabilities of GIS. The general issues of facility management are described in the first part of the thesis - what it is about, what it brings, the most important definitions and standards are provided there. Then it continues with theory about connection with GIS and answers the question, why this cooperation is beneficial. It continues with description of importance of GIS during whole life circle of real estate. The chapter is concluded by definition of another powerful tool in FM - CAD/BIM. Jindřich Krejčí, Ph.D. Abstract The thesis focuses on the election-polls and prediction of election results in the Czech Republic. Using data of research company MEDIAN s.r.o. from face-to-face (CAPI) and telephone interviewing (CATI) in election year 2010 it examines possibilities of methodological optimizations which could lead to reducing systematic bias and discrepancies of pre-election polls the election results. In particular, it discusses these methodological solutions: mix-mode data collection (combination of CATI and CAPI), data weighting focused on specific factors correlated with voting behavior, including preferences of undecided voters, prediction of the respondents' participation in elections, election-polls results time-series smoothing. Based on these analyses the thesis tries to articulate general findings which could be fruitful in discussion about Czech election-polls and their methodology in general. In the thesis, basic and advanced statistic methods (CART, exponential smoothing, etc.) are being used to achieve given research goals. Keywords: election...
