The genus Tondanotettix C. Willemse, 1928 includes two species endemic to Sulawesi Island (Indonesia). The third species, T. doloduo sp. n., is described from northeast part of this island. Tondanotettix is most similar to the genus Hyboella Hancock, 1915 (Metrodorinae) but differs from latter in the arch-like infrascapular area and a deeply excised apex of pronotal process. Therefore Tondanotettix is transferred here from subfamily Cladonotinae to subfamily Metrodorinae. An annotated list and a key to species and subspecies of this genus are provided also.

Rhopalotettix vietnamensis sp. nov. is described from Vietnam. The new species is similar to R. chinensis Tinkham, 1939 in a distinct median carina of the fastigium (in all the other congeners, median carina is absent) and differs from the latter species by the rostrum with almost parallel lateral sides and by a narrow tegmen, visible part of which is 2.3 times narrower than mid femur (in R. chinensis, rostrum with the lateral sides gradually converging to the acute apex, and visible part of tegmen is almost as broad as mid femur).

Abstract:
Lophotettiginae Hancock, 1909, endemic to the Neotropics, is one of the most ill-known subfamilies of Tetrigidae. Until now, there have not been any hypothesis on its relationship with other subfamilies. Lophotettiginae comprise only two genera, Lophotettix Hancock, 1909 and Phelene Bolívar, 1906, both with an arduous taxonomic history. Here, we describe a new species, Phelene reinschmidti from Ecuador, and compare it with its congeners: P. turgida from Peru and P. maroon from French Guiana. We found the subfamily Lophotettiginae to most closely resemble the Neotropical subfamily Metrodorinae,
