Objective. The purpose of this study was to assess the knowledge level about HPV and screening of cervical cancer in women from the metropolitan region of Natal, Brazil. Materials and Methods. Explorar a valorização humana e profissional dentro de uma unidade da Polícia Militar (PM), na percepção do seu capital humano, é algo realmente inovador? O estudo possui como objetivo, explicitar como se percebe valorizado esse capital, diante das condições de trabalho que recebem. A pesquisa de campo foi realizada por dois dias consecutivos do ano de 2018, e contou com a participação efetiva de 32 Policiais Militares (PM’s), pertencentes à Companhia Independente de Policiamento Turístico (CIPTUR) em Natal/RN - Brasil. Para obtenção dos dados foram utilizados os métodos de observação participante, bem como a aplicação de um questionário com questões quali-quantitativas. Os resultados mostraram que as condições de trabalho na companhia, não dignificam seu capital humano. Mesmo que, a maioria dos pesquisados não se sintam valorizados na esfera humana e profissional, sentem-se satisfeitos por gostarem do que faz, pelo sentimento de união do grupo e pela execução dos seus serviços. Esse trabalho, portanto, se constituiu como uma ferramenta de grande valia, por abordar um tema pouco explorado e, assim publicitar a realidade vivida dentro de uma unidade operacional da Polícia Militar do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte (PM-RN), que atua na área do turismo, um importante gerador de emprego e renda para a Região Metropolitana de Natal.
