Abstract:
Filmes finos de SrBi2Ta2O9 foram depositados em substratos de Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si e, pela primeira vez, sinterizados em forno microondas doméstico. Os padrões de difração de raios X mostraram que os filmes são policristalinos. O processamento por microondas permite utilizar baixa temperatura na síntese e obter filmes com boas propriedades elétricas. Ensaios de microscopia eletrônica de varredura (MEV) e de Força Atômica (MFA) revelam boa aderência entre filme e substrato, com microestrutura de superfície apresentando grãos finos e esféricos e rugosidade de 4,7 nm. A constante dielétrica e o fator de dissipação, para freqüência de 100 KHz, à temperatura ambiente, foram de 77 e 0,04, respectivamente. A polarização remanescente (2Pr) e o campo coercitivo (Ec) foram 1,04 miC/cm² e 33 kV/cm. O comportamento da densidade de corrente de fuga revela três mecanismos de condução: linear, ôhmico e outro mecanismo que pode ser atribuído à corrente de Schottky. Dos padrões de DRX, análises das imagens por MEV e topografia de superfície por MFA observa-se que 10 min de tratamento térmico a 550 ºC, em forno microondas, é tempo suficiente para se obter a cristalização do filme.

The concept of multiple-FID acquisition (MFA) within the same scan is applied to acquire simultaneously multiple 2D spectra from a single NMR experiment. A discussion on the incorporation of the MFA strategy in homonuclear and heteronuclear pulse sequences is presented. Several novel COSY- and HMBC-type experiments are reported as a time-efficient solution in small-molecule NMR spectroscopy.

Filmes finos de PbTiO3 dopados com 27% de lantânio, depositados em substratros MgO (100), foram preparados pelo método dos precursores poliméricos (Pechini). As resinas, das quais são obtidos os filmes, ao término do processo apresentam pH entre 2-3. Este fato promove o aparecimento de cristais de citrato de Pb (favorecido pelo meio ácido). Para evitar tal problema, o pH da resina foi mantido entre 7-8 pela adição de hidróxido de amônio. O surgimento de regiões mais ricas em chumbo pode ser visto por intermédio de Microscópio Eletrônico de Varredura (MEV) e confirmada pela análise de EDS. A Microscopia de Força Atômica (MFA) também foi utilizada na observação da superfície dos filmes.

El objetivo de este artículo es poner de relieve dos de los relatos que Flannery O’Connor incluyó en su MFA Thesis en el Iowa Writers’ Workshop (1947): “Wildcat” y “The Turkey”. En ambos, como se puede desprender de los títulos, aparecen animales que tienen una capital importancia para el desenlace de las historias. En ambos, también, aparecen hombres (o niños) cuya vida está ligada a la de estos animales. No obstante, tanto el gato salvaje como el pavo silvestre, bajo la óptica que Flannery O’Connor ofrece, no son sólo representantes del mundo animal, sino que se erigen en modos o vías de unión con la divinidad. A través de ellos, los personajes humanos pueden trascender el mundo terreno y alcanzar lo intangible, descubriendo, muchas veces, que esta otra realidad es más terrible de lo que imaginaban. Ambas bestias son dignas poseedoras de los “mystery and manners” que la escritora de Milledgeville situaba en el centro de su producción: son (y encarnan) un misterio y, a la vez, buscan las costumbres de los hombres para arrastrarlos al otro lado. En estos textos, las fronteras entre lo humano, lo animal y lo divino parecen desaparecer, creando un continuo híbrido a tres bandas del que se torna imposible escapar para los protagonistas. La muerte, como puerta, será la única salida que encuentren.

Abstract:
This paper discusses the progress in a master thesis about friction welding of ceramics to metals. An existing friction welding machine has to be adapted for the experimental part of this research. The required capabilities of this machine are discussed in this paper. As an introduction, a general explanation about friction welding is given. The results of a literature survey on friction welding of ceramics to metals are discussed. The aim of this survey was to determine the process parameters required to obtain a good weld quality. It became clear that few literature exists on friction welding of these materials and that the cited values for the process parameters vary widely. Based hereon, a range of process parameter values was used to make certain design choices. Because a laboratory machine is aimed at, it has to be able to function at varying settings of the process parameters, including testing at higher rotational speeds. Finally, process windows illustrating sound combinations of friction pressure and specimen diameter are calculated. The design choices entail certain restrictions on the capabilities of the machine. These restrictions define the boundaries of the process window

Abstract:
Streaming potential in rocks is the electrical potential developing when an ionic fluid flows through the pores of rocks. The zeta potential is a key parameter of streaming potential and it depends on many parameters such as the mineral composition of rocks, fluid properties, temperature etc. Therefore, the zeta potential is different for various rocks and liquids. In this work, streaming potential measurements are performed for five rock samples saturated with six different monovalent electrolytes. From streaming potential coefficients, the zeta potential is deduced. The experimental results are then explained by a theoretical model. From the model, the surface site density for different rocks and the binding constant for different cations are found and they are in good agreement with those reported in literature. The result also shows that (1) the surface site density of Bentheim sandstone mostly composed of silica is the largest of five rock samples; (2) the binding constant is almost the same for a given cation but it increases in the order KMe(Na+) < KMe(K+) < KMe(Cs+) for a given rock.References Corwin R. The thesis deals with a manufacturing system water jet technological head tilt angle influence analysis. The search is performed for two tilt angles and three speeds of the technological head shift. Frequency envelope comparative graphs are created for the head tilt angles 45o and 90o and for each of three speeds using graphical records which show vibration acceleration amplitude relation to its frequency. For each of the tilt angles summary comparative frequency envelope graphs in all analyzed speeds are created, too. On the base of the comparative frequency envelope graphs a discussion focused on results and formulated conclusion are performed. The paper presents a thematically integrated part of previous research and complements recent knowledge on technological and material parameter impact to water jet technology manufacturing system vibration generation.

Digital Speckle Pattern Interferometry ( DSPI for short ) method has become one of the most practical worthy techniques for speckle measuring methods with the high-speed development of optic-electronical technique, image processing technology and electronic computer technology. There is a lot of advantages about it, such as uncomplicated operation, non-contacting, advanced automatic level, measurement on-line and extensive using. In this thesis, the displacement variation of the induced strain field for driving by piezoelectric ceramics can be measured by using this method. Thus we can come to a conclusion that digital speckle pattern interferometry is a new measuring method for extracting small-signal. It also provides a powerfully theoretical and experimental platform for study of automated, full-field, high-precision and nondestructive measurement.

AbstractThis thesis is a discussion on obtaining a vacuum brazing joint of W-Cu alloy and 18-8 stainless steel with Cu-Mn-Co filler metal under the process parameter of a brazing temperature of 1060°C and holding time of 1 h. Four-point bending strength was tested at room temperature. Microstructure, microhardness, and element distribution near the interface of the brazed seam were observed via micro sclerometer, scanning electron microscope (SEM), and energy disperse spectroscopy (EDS) methods. Finally, analysis of the existence for phase composition near the interface was conducted using X-ray diffraction. Corresponding to a four-point bend strength of 780 MPa, there was a plain-interface, dense microstructure without obvious microdefects that formed. Microhardness values increased near the interface of the brazed joint and decreased gradually to the center of the brazed seam. Element distribution indicated that elements (Cu, Mn, Co) from the filler metal diffused into the interface or even substrates, and Fe and Cu element, together with a little of W element, from the substrates dissolved into the brazed seam region. Fracture morphology of the W-Cu/18-8 steel joint was identified as a mixed feature of fracture type. Moreover, the brazing seam contained mainly a Cu-rich phase, W0.4Cu0.6, α-Fe, and simple substance of W, together with a little of Co0.7Fe0.3.

The subject of this research is the stylistic peculiarities and means of artistic expression of the architectural majolica by Peter Kuzmich Vaulin. The object of this research is the architectural ceramics of Vaulin in facades of the buildings of St. Petersburg in the early XX century. The application of inclusive approach allows tracing correlations between the historical facts and the cultural characteristics of this period. The compositional-artistic analysis, comparative-descriptive method, and imagery-stylistic analysis were used for consideration of the means of artistic expression of architectural ceramics, compositional interaction of the materials and space, and examination of the style and formative peculiarities of ceramics. Detailed analysis is conducted on the Saint Petersburg period of the ceramist P. K. Vaulin, opening of his own ceramic workshop, and active participation in the development of decorative image of St. Petersburg in the early XX century. Special attention is given to the most remarkable works of the master for architectural decoration of the city. Emphasis is placed on his works for the Insurance Company Building “Russia”, which is brilliant example of the harmonious synthesis of majolica and architecture. The conclusion is made that the architectural ceramics of the master made in many ways determined the majolica decoration of St. Petersburg – compositional, textured, color, imagery-stylistic, and plastic peculiarities of the ceramic works of P. K. Vaulin contributed to aesthetic transformation of the environment. The scientific novelty of consists in the thesis that the ceramic workshop of P. K. Vaulin was one of the leading manufacturers of artistic majolica of the indicated period. It is also proven that the Heldwein-Vaulin workshop was able to organically synthesize the heritage of the best traditions of the past with the courage and ambiguity of the Art Nouveau.

In the East Coast region of Sumatra trade patterns between inland and coastal areas have occurred since the pre-colonial period. If we pull back, the Coastal region and the interior have been trading since the 14th century; this can be seen from the archaeological findings of ancient foreign ceramics in Kabanjahe. In the 19th century, orientlists have stepped on East Sumatra. In their visits and reports, orientalists say that there has been a trade relationship between the people in the community with the coastal community. This indicates that the trade relations of the world’s deep trade with thesis continue to be continued. The role of the inland region is to supply commodities to the coastline; we can interpret that in the coastal region there are no important commodities produced. This article describes the trade relations that occur in the past. This is useful for the flexi trade system of the former with the present. How is the relationship between trade in the 19th century between the interior and the coast.

Abstract:
According to the microstructure characteristics of the optical components surface, the paper designs a bridge right-angle flexure hinge driven by a piezoelectric ceramic. It meets the driving micro-displacement magnification requirements and solves the coupling problem in work. Using the calculation formulas of statics and calculation formula of bending moment, the thesis explores the motion law of piezoelectric ceramics with 1KHZ excitation frequency. Through the exploration of the factors of bridge flexure hinge angle stiffness and tensile stiffness, the mathematical model of input displacement and output displacement is established. Studying the theory about the elimination of motion process coupling, it excavates the function relationships of flexure hinge angle and magnification. And the relationship is unearthed among driving force of piezoelectric ceramic, the flexure hinge stiffness, cutting force and mass of cutter system. The paper establishes their mathematical model between the above elements and the output micro-displacement, and the theoretical result is calculated by Matlab. Finally, using Pro/Engineer 3D digital modeling and analysis of simulation results by Ansys, it is found that the error can be controlled in an acceptable range by comparing the theoretical results with simulation results. Through the above analysis, the theoretical design is found to be reliable and effective.

Aim: Periprosthetic Joint Infection (PJI) is a rare but serious post-operative complication of hip replacement that often ends in complex implant revision and dramatically impacts the quality of life of the patient. Finally, costs associated with PJI significantly impact healthcare systems. Current research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of infection and identifying the risk factors related thereto. The objective of this study was to examine the potential impact of bearing materials on the incidence of infection in THA. Methods: Registries are a valuable tool to analyze large cohorts of THA patients and the influence of selected parameters on the clinical outcome of the surgeries. Data from THA patients recorded in the NJR, AOA and NZ registries were analyzed with respect to the incidence of infection. Material data and scientific publications were also reviewed to investigate if the incidence of PJI might be correlated with the specific bearing material used. Results: The use of metal bearings was consensually identified in all large patient cohorts as an independent risk factor for PJI. In contrast, using ceramic bearings was associated with a lower risk of revision for PJI.1 In vitro and ex vivo studies comparing the biological response to ceramic, metal and polyethylene materials are helpful to explain these findings. Metal exposure might activate the immune system and the released metal particles and ions might trigger adverse reactions with high inflammatory potential In contrast, extreme low wear ceramic bearings are well tolerated, show an excellent biological behavior 2,3,4,5,6 and might even support the wound healing process by initiating a healthy fibrotic pseudo-capsulation4. Furthermore, low wear is less likely to serve as a nidus for infection. Discussion and conclusion: Considering modifiable risk factors prior to THA is a key aspect for surgery success, implant longevity and patient satisfaction. Selecting a bearing material with enhanced biocompatibility like ceramics seems to have a measureable impact on the clinical outcomes. The Program Era Project (PEP) has assembled three related datasets of information on the Iowa Writers’ Workshop (IWW). The first two datasets include the thesis and matriculation records of the IWW from the first creative thesis submitted in 1941 until Spring 2014. These data were initially derived from University of Iowa Library catalog records of MFA theses. Additional data (primarily genre and advisor) were filled in by checking bound copies of theses held in the University Archives. Also included are small number (~1.5% of total) of BA records from other institutions for early faculty and additional degrees earned at Iowa by IWW grads and faculty (e.g., several IWW graduates also have Nonfiction Writing Program MFAs).

Stanislav Zakharovich Zhiznin is the founder of energy diplomacy in Russia and in the world, the author of the term “energy diplomacy”, a leading Russian expert on energy policy, diplomacy and international energy security. Prof. Zhiznin published first Russian textbook on energy diplomacy and many monographs on energy diplomacy, in Russian, English, and Chinese [Zhiznin 2005]. S.Z. Zhiznin graduated from the Kharkiv Aviation Institute in 1969 with a degree in electrical engineering, then - from the Diplomatic Academy of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1977 with a degree in international economic relations. In 1998 he defended his Candidate’s thesis on the issue “Energy diplomacy of Russia at the turn of the 20th - 21st centuries (foreign economic aspects)”, and in 2001 - his Doctor’s dissertation on “Strategic interests of Russia in world energy” and became a Doctor of Science (Economics). He has been working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation since 1977. S. Zhiznin has a Diplomatic Rank of 1st Class Counsellor. Until the end of 2010, he was the chief adviser to the Department of Economic Cooperation of the Russian MFA. S. Zhiznin is currently a professor at the Department of International Dimension of Fuel and Energy Industry named after N.P. Laverov, MGIMO. He contributed to the development of the information materials for the Russian delegation for the meetings of G8 (now G7), OPEC, IEA, Gas Exporting Countries Forum, International Energy Forum, APEC, etc. S.Z. Zhiznin is the President of the Center for Energy Diplomacy and Geopolitics, established in 2003 with the participation of the Union of Oil & Gas Producers of Russia and support of the Russian MFA. In 2011, he became an OSCE expert on energy diplomacy and energy security. The interview presents the formation of energy diplomacy as a science, covers the evolution of the concept of “energy diplomacy”, discusses the energy factor influence on the policies of Russia and other countries, analyses the role of TNCs in shaping the state’s energy policy. Energy diplomacy, as S.Z. Zhiznin points out, is a complex symbiosis of economics, geopolitics, and technological sciences; so, research in energy diplomacy is inextricably linked with these sciences. At present, energy diplomacy is being heavily influenced by the technology development, which makes states take into account this factor while forming their energy strategies.

Results of research conducted shows Internal audit in this case supervisor in the Cooperative Employees PT. Platinum Ceramics Industry is still weak and ineffective, because there is a violation in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) which can lead to fraud. Standard Operating Procedure violations occur because of the policy of the cooperative management. Cooperative management assessed incorrectly and poorly targeted in the provision of policy which violates the rules of the loan ceiling and ceiling pieces. <p align="center"><strong>ABSTRACT</strong></p><p><em>Indonesia's current position in ceramic production is in the 7th position in the world. Indonesia is the world's top 10 ceramic users. With the current production capacity of ceramic machinery installed in the country, quantity and quality can meet domestic development needs. 87% of production is sold domestically. The biggest exports to Southeast Asian and Middle East countries are 12-13%. Information dissemination activities carried out by the Ceramics Tourism House company F. Widayanto to the general public by using the website, www.fwidayanto.com. This information is very influential on user satisfaction both in terms of benefits or fields or facilities offered to users. In the preparation of this thesis the author limits the problem to the scope of the problem under study, namely examining the website of the Rumah Wisata Keramik F. Widayanto by using the Webqual 4.0 method which consists of dimensions (usability, information quality and quality of service interactions). The calculation results obtained by the Cronbach Alpha value for the Information Quality variable of 0.724, for the Usability variable of 0.649, for the Service Interaction Quality variable of 0.715 and for the User Satisfaction variable of 0.816. A long-term stationary experiment was conducted to examine for the purpose nine field crop rotation patterns different in the number of fields (four to six), set of crops, and their succession in crop rotation. The respective shares of legumes, oilseeds, and cereals in the cropping pattern were 17 to 33, 17 to 40, and 50 to 67 %. It has been established that in case of no-till field crop cultivation the economic efficiency of plant production depends on the set of crops and their succession in rotation. The most economically efficient type of crop rotation is the soya-winter wheat-peas-winter wheat-sunflower-corn six-field rotation with two fields of legumes: in this rotation 1 ha of crop rotation area yields 3 850 grain units per ha at a grain unit prime cost of 5.46 roubles; the plant production output return and profitability were 20,888 roubles per ha and 113 %, respectively. The high production profitabilities provided by the soya-winter wheat-sunflower four-field and the soya-winter-wheat-sunflower-corn-winter wheat five-field crop rotation are 108.7 and 106.2 %, respectively. The inclusion of winter wheat in crop rotation for two years in a row reduces the second winter wheat crop yield by 80 to 100 %, which means a certain reduction in the grain unit harvesting rate to 3.48-3.57 thousands per ha of rotation area and cuts the production profitability down to 84.4-92.3 %. The relevance of the topic has to do with an increased global interest in this region. The paper is aimed at considering the basic principles of developing and the procedure of testing seismic instruments for use at ultralow climatic temperatures. In this paper the indicated issue is considered through the example of a seismic module designed for petroleum and gas exploration by passive seismoacoustic methods. The seismic module is a direct-burial portable unit of around 5 kg in weight, designed to continuously measure and record microseismic triaxial orthogonal (ZNE) noise in a range from 0.1 to 45 Hz during several days in autonomous mode. The functional chart of designing the seismic module was considered, and concrete conclusions were made for choosing the necessary components to meet the ultralow-temperature operational requirements. The conclusions made served for developing appropriate seismic module. In this case, the components and tools used included a SAFT MP 176065 xc low-temperature lithium cell, industrial-spec electronic component parts, a Zhaofeng Geophysical ZF-4.5 Chinese primary electrodynamic seismic sensor, housing seal parts made of frost-resistant silicone materials, and finely dispersed silica gel used as water-retaining sorbent to avoid condensation in the housing. The paper also describes a procedure of low-temperature collation tests at the lab using a New Brunswick Scientific freezing plant. The test results proved the operability of the developed equipment at ultralow temperatures down to -55°C. In addition, tests were conducted at low microseismic noises in the actual Arctic environment. The possibility to detect signals in a range from 1 to 10 Hz at the level close to the NLNM limit (the Peterson model) has been confirmed, which allows monitoring and exploring petroleum and gas deposits by passive methods. As revealed by this study, the suggested approaches are efficient in developing high-precision mobile seismic instruments for use at ultralow climatic temperatures. The solution of the considered instrumentation and methodical issues is of great practical significance as a constituent of the generic problem of Arctic exploration. The article analyzes the results of treatment of patients with excess length of the second metatarsal bones that underwent osteotomy with and without osteosynthesis. The results of treatment of patients who underwent metatarsal shortening due to classical Weil-osteotomy with and without osteosynthesis were analyzed. The first group consisted of 34 patients. They underwent classical Weil osteotomy. The second group included 44 patients in whomosteotomy of the second metatarsal bone were not by the screw. When studying the results of the treatment in the immediate postoperative period, weeks 6, 12, slightly better results were observed in patients of the first group, while one year after surgical treatment the results in both groups were comparable. One year after surgical treatment, there were 2.9% (1 patient) of unsatisfactory results in the first group and 4.5% (2 patients) in the second group. Considering the comparability of the results of treatment in remote postoperative period, the choice of concrete method remains with the operating surgeon. Methods. A prospective 3-year study of 86 healthy dogs (aged 1-7 yrs) of different breeds and of both sexes. Echo homogeneity and echogenicity of the stomach and intestines wall were determined by the method of Silina, T.L., et al. (2010) in absolute values ​​of average brightness levels of ultrasound image pixels using the 8-bit scale with 256 shades of gray. Results. Quantitative echogenicity indicators of the stomach and the small intestine wall in dogs were determined. Based on the numerical values ​​characterizing echogenicity distribution in each layer of a separate structure of the digestive system, the coefficient of gastric echogenicity is determined as 1:2.4:1.1 (mucosa/submucosa/muscle layers, respectively), the coefficient of duodenum and jejunum echogenicity is determined as 1:3.5:2 and that of ileum is 1:1.8:1. Clinical significance. Datieva, DOI: https://doi.org/10.26782/jmcms.spl.10/2020.06.00046 Abstract: The aim of this work was to assess the functional reserves of the body to quantify individual health; adaptation, psychophysiological characteristics of the health quality of medical students in different seasons of the year. When studying the temporal organization of physiological functions, the rhythm parameters of physiological functions were determined, followed by processing the results using the Cosinor Analysis program, which reveals rhythms with an unknown period for unequal observations, evaluates 5 parameters of sinusoidal rhythms (mesor, amplitude, acrophase, period, reliability). The essence of desynchronization is the mismatch of circadian rhythms among themselves or destruction of the rhythms architectonics (instability of acrophases or their disappearance). Desynchronization with respect to the rhythmic structure of the body is of a disregulatory nature, most pronounced in pathological desynchronization. High neurotism, increased anxiety reinforces the tendency to internal desynchronization, which increases with stress. During examination stress, students experience a decrease in the stability of the temporary organization of the biosystem and the tension of adaptive mechanisms develops, which affects attention, mental performance and the quality of adaptation to the educational process. Time is shortened and the amplitude of the “initial minute” decreases, personal and situational anxiety develops, and the level of psychophysiological adaptation decreases. The results of the work are priority because they can be used in assessing quality and level of health. The difference between active and passive qualitative comparison is shown, two triadic models of passive and active comparison and models for comparing two and three objects are described. Triadic comparison models are proposed as an alternative to dyadic comparison models. Comparison allows finding the common and the different; this approach is proposed for the analysis of the nomothetic and ideographic method of obtaining knowledge. The nomothetic method identifies and evaluates the general, while the ideographic method searches for unique in parameters and in combinations of parameters. Triadic comparison is used in systems and methods of argumentation, as well as in the analysis of consistency/inconsistency.
