Despite the progress made by Islamic banks, they still contend with the dominance of conventional banking, which implements an interest-based system. This study aims to assess the public's understanding of Islamic banking, particularly in Jakarta. Field research conducted in the capital city revealed that while people are aware of the existence of Islamic banks, their understanding of the intricacies remains limited. Many are unfamiliar with the products and services offered by Islamic banks, attributing this to a lack of information disseminated through various media channels. This study shed

The objective of this study is then to analyze the efficiency of sharia banks in Indonesia. Understanding the efficiency is important because if banks perform consistently with full efficiency, the less inputs they use, the larger output they achieve. The output is measured by total earning asset, while the inputs used are total deposit and total operating costs. The pattern of disagreement between bond raters suggests that banks and insurance firms are inherently more opaque than other types of firms. Moody's and S&P split more often over these financial intermediaries, and the splits are more lopsided, as theory here predicts. Uncertainty over the banks stems from certain assets, loans and trading assets in particular, the risks of which are hard to observe or easy to change. Banks' high leverage, which invites agency problems, compounds the uncertainty over their assets. These findings bear on both the existence and reform of bank regulation.

In the process of long-term development, due to policy changes, operational management and other factors, a large number of non-performing assets have emerged in the operation of commercial banks in China. The existence of non-performing assets not only greatly reduces the liquidity, safety, and profitability of commercial bank assets in China, but also begins to affect the development and progress of commercial banks. Based on this, this paper mainly explores how commercial banks can accelerate the collection and disposal of non-performing credit assets, hoping to serve as a reference.
