Microsoft is the one of the giant companies in computer technology, which appears in almost every aspect of our life. However, with the advent of a new era of computer technology, Microsoft is facing the challenge of digital transformation, so it is constantly improving its new technologies and expanding its business territory by acquiring other technology companies. On April 12, 2021, Microsoft completed a significant acquisition which is acquiring Nuance. In this essay, it is going to research the purpose, stylized facts, and outlook of this acquisition. Through analyzing the potential objectives, meaning and business ecosystem of computer technology, this article finds Microsoft acquired Nuance not only to improve its own conversational artificial intelligence technology, but also to develop markets related to healthcare and improve its core competitiveness. Besides, this paper also uses the SWOT analysis to research Microsofts current situation and better understand its market competitiveness. Finally, this research gives some suggestions to Microsoft depending on its strengths. For example, improving competitive advantages by expanding its service areas through reasonable acquisitions, repairing network security systems, and improving user experience, and paying more attention to product manufacturing and innovation.

Users can automate tasks and processes within their Office 365 workflow with Microsoft Flow, now called Power Automate. There are many of organisations that rely on the many programmes that are part of Microsoft Office 365. Common Microsoft Office applications include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and OneDrive. Other Microsoft products serve their purpose, but apps typically don't talk to each other and operate independently. With Power Automate/Microsoft Flow, these apps can communicate with one another and respond to events triggered by other programmes. With Microsoft Power Automate, you can automate a wide variety of processes and tasks by integrating various apps and platforms. Whether in the cloud or on-premises, users are able to integrate Microsoft Office 365 apps with one another and a vast library of other programmes. Anyone with even a rudimentary grasp of Office 365 may build simple automations to streamline mundane tasks for their company. Power BI and Microsoft Power Apps allow advanced users to build their own unique business processes. Users may easily design the interactivity of apps using workflows, which are also called flows.

Banyak yang belum mengenal kelebihan dan kegunaan dari Office 365. Khususnya Guru dan TU di SMKN 3 Tegal padah sudah memiliki akun loginnya. Namun tidak mengetahui bagaimana menggunakan office 365. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan kinerja bersama antara tata usaha dan proses mengajar bagi guru di SMKN 3 Tegal dengan memanfaatkan office 365. PKM ini menggunakan metode sosialisasi, dengan tahapan: persiapan (survey), memberikan materi, tanya jawab, diskusi, praktik, pendampingan serta dilakukan pre-test dan post-test untuk mengevaluasi kegiatan PKM. Pengabdian berlangsung selama 3 hari, dengan peserta 35 orang. Hasilnya peserta dapat mengoperasikan dan menggunakan akun Office 365 yang telah dimilki dengan baik dan lancar, saat dilakukan praktik dan evaluasi berupa pretest dan posttest pada quisioner yang telah diberikan, sebanyak 80% sudah dapat mengenal, memahami menggunakan dan operasikan office 365 secara baik dan lancar.Abstract: Office 365 is a Microsoft application made in one package in the form of Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Access, and Publisher. Office 365 makes it easy to get work done through a variety of existing applications, designed to help get more done innovatively with intelligent cloud services. Many do not know the advantages and uses of Office 365. Especially teachers and TU at SMKN3 Tegal already have a login account. However, they do not know how to use office 365. This service aims to facilitate joint performance between the administration and the teaching process for teachers at SMKN 3 Tegal by utilizing office 365. This PKM uses the socialization method, with the following stages: preparation, presentation, questions answer, discussion, practice, mentoring as well as pre-test and post-test for discussion of PKM activities. The service lasted for 3 days, with 35 participants. As a result, participants can operate and use their Office 365 accounts well and smoothly. This can be seen when practice is carried out and posttest of community service activities is carried out on the questionnaire that has been given as many as 80% can recognize, understand, use and operate Office 365 well and smoothly.

Цель исследования заключается в разработке инструмента, позволяющего повысить эффективность электронного документооборота организации, использующей облачное хранилище Nextcloud. Данная технология имеет универсальный характер и может применяться при внедрении подобных Add-in в работу многих компаний. Наличие такой надстройки позволяет клиентам не переживать о конфиденциальности при ведении переговоров по почте с представителями организаций, предотвратить доступ злоумышленников к личным данным частных лиц и компаний. Научная новизна исследования заключается в разработке алгоритма, позволяющего организации повысить эффективность электронного документооборота. Внедрение Add-in значительно снижает издержки на операции документооборота между сотрудниками и клиентами, а вероятность появления человеческой ошибки становится близка к нулю. The purpose of the study is to develop a tool that allows you to optimize the process of electronic document management of a company using Nextcloud cloud storage. This technology is universal in nature and can be used when introducing such Add-ins into the work of many companies. The presence of such an add-on allows customers not to worry about confidentiality when negotiating by mail with representatives of organizations, to prevent attackers from accessing personal data of individuals and companies. The scientific novelty of the study is the development of an algorithm that allows the organization to increase the efficiency of electronic document management. The implementation of the Add-in significantly reduces the cost of workflow operations between employees and customers, and the likelihood of human error becomes close to zero.

Abstract:
This case study reported on how students experienced speaking anxiety in online EFL classrooms. The data was obtained through observation, questionnaires on a google form, and interviews. The data analysis technique used was thematic analysis. The participants consisted of second-year students from one vocational school in Indonesia determined as many as 14 (fourteen) students, 4 representative students were chosen using FLCAS for the Interview, and 14 students for the FLCAS Questionnaire. The questionnaire sheet obtained feedback on students' types of speaking anxiety are (a) test anxiety, (b) fear of negative judgment, and (c) communicative apprehension. Data analysis showed that speaking anxiety can be influenced by several factors including fear speak in front of peers, fear of negative feedback, and fear of failure. In addition, the analysis discovered that (1) preparation, (2) relaxation, (3) positive thinking, (4) peer thinking, (5) positive outlook, and (6) using useful tools were strategies used by students to overcome speaking anxiety.

Along with the development of science and technology (IPTEK), the role of information systems in an organization or office is no longer in doubt. Information system support can make an office have a competitive advantage. This study aims to determine the optimization of the application of office automation at the DPRD Secretariat of South Sulawesi Province. Data collection techniques used are observation, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive percentage and distribution analysis. The results showed that the Optimization of the Application of Office Automation at the Secretariat of the DPRD of South Sulawesi Province was in the very good category in terms of Microsoft Word indicators, which were in the very good category including the ease of employees in managing documents. Microsoft Excel indicators are in the very good category including providing convenience in terms of word processing. The Microsoft Outlook indicator is in the good category in terms of optimizing the performance of employees with a work schedule. The Microsoft Power Point indicator is in the good category in this case the presentation can facilitate information, and the Publisher Indicator is in the good category in this case increasing competitiveness through promotions.

Abstract:
This report will be covering further development of the Realtime-Updated Dashboard made by two students for Flex Applications in VT2017. The task now is to integrate the Dashboard with Outlook calendar. A theoretical deepening into the General Data Protection Regulation was made due to recent development in the European Union. This was used to set strict guidelines for design, consent and security of the application.   The application is a back-end service written mostly in C#, however some TypeScript language was used with Angular 2 framework along with LESS and HTML5. The application is developed as a stand-alone project as the Realtime-Updated Dashboard is now live in the system and it would pose a security risk for Flex which was a great opportunity to study and learn more about ASP.NET MVC model along with TypeScript, Angular2, LESS and HTML5. Integrating with Outlook calendar was just the first step, more calendars will be added in time. The main point of the application is to give the Realtime-Updated Dashboard added value and prove/show integration with Outlook calendar was possible.

This dissertation studied the implementation of Outlook 98, Microsoft's desktop information management software, at Saybrook University and Bancroft Valley Bank (fictitious names). The major research question was, What does the life cycle of Outlook 98 at Saybrook University and Bancroft National Bank tell us about the pattern of implementation at these two sites, and what roles do users' "technological frames" play in each site's implementation process? Employing a qualitative methodology and a conceptual framework based on Wanda Orlikowski's works on "technological frames" (nature of technology, technology strategy and technology in use) and an "episodic" (three-stage) pattern of adaptation, the author conducted unstructured and structured interviews, directly observed meetings and training sessions, and analyzed existing documents to ascertain participants' experience with Outlook 98. The findings corroborated Orlikowski's descriptions of the frames and episodic adaptation, and uncovered three new insights related to the technological frames. First, the frames first appeared in a pre-implementation stage, or what Zaltman, Duncan and Holbek (1973) call the "Formation of Attitudes Toward the Innovation" substage of an innovation's initiation stage. The users' spontaneous and vivid figurative language-similes and metaphors-presented images of motion, rest and calm, and momentary stasis before further motion in the various stages. Second, users at both sites experienced "antecedent intolerance," the author's term for a drastic change in their nature of technology frame, from an originally negative perception of the new software and a reluctance to use it to an eventual refusal to give it up. The shift in their frames was so complete that it represented not merely a modification of the original frames but a replacement of them. And third, the findings suggest two new domains of technological frames: a User/Change Agent domain (users' and change agents' perceptions of each other) and a Learning the Technology domain, which the author feels is so important that he proposes a new ASK Model of Learning, an approach to training that would address users' attitudes in the pre-implementation stage and first stage of use, skills in the second stage, and knowledge in the third stage.

Kommunikation är en grundpelare för alla verksamheter och företag där möten är ett av de primära sätten för att samtala och fatta gemensamma beslut. Problemet som kan uppstå i samband med att en bokning av ett möte ska utföras är att försöka finna en tid då alla önskade mötesdeltagare kan delta vilket kan vara en tröttsam och tidskrävande process om många deltagare ska ingå i mötet. Detta är ett bekymmer som uppstår hos IT-företaget Easit som fokuserar på mjukvarulösningar åt företag och myndigheter. Arbetet syftar till att undersöka de anställdas uppfattning kring mötesbokningar, vilka verktyg de använder i dagsläget för att boka möten och slutligen formulera och implementera en byggsten i form av en målfunktion för att förhindra de problem som beskrivs i undersökningen. Konstruktionen sker i form av en webbapplikation skapat med främst programmeringsspråket Java men också olika ramverk och verktyg för att förenkla processen i att uppnå en dynamisk applikation. Applikationen upprättar koppling till Microsoft Outlooks API där data sedan extraheras från kalendrar baserat på delvis modifierad data från en anställds schema på företaget. Målfunktionen tillämpas på den data som extraherats för villkor som användaren fyllt i, på det vis beräkna ett slags betyg för potentiella mötesbokningar. Målfunktionen som är en optimerad algoritm jämförs med en greedy-algoritm för att presentera den optimerade algoritmens potential för problembeskrivningen. Den fortsatta utvecklingen utförs genom att formulera bivillkor vars syfte är att bredda den optimerade algoritmens flexibilitet och djup. Resultatet för arbetet är en grund för optimering av scheman med potential för fortsatt utveckling.
Communication is a foundation pillar for all businesses and companies where meetings is one of the primary ways to converse and take collective decisions. The problem which can arise in the procedure of booking a meeting is trying to find a suitable time for every desired participant which could be a tedious and time-consuming task if many participants are to be included in the meeting. This is an issue that has risen at an IT company named Easit which focuses on software solutions for other companies and authorities. The aim of the project is to investigate the employees opinion of this issue, the tools they use today for the process of booking a meeting and finally formulate and implement a building block in the form of a target function which will be used to prevent the problems that are stated in the investigation. The construction is to be performed in the form of a web application created with the programming language Java together with different frameworks and tools to simplify the process of achieving a dynamic application. The application establishes a connection to the Microsoft Outlook API which will then be used to extract data from different calendars based of partly modified data from an employee’s schedule. The target function will be applied to the data extracted dependent on the conditions stated by the user and based on that; a kind of grade will be applied to every possible meeting time found. The target function which is an optimized algorithm is compared to a greedy-algorithm to present the optimized functions potential for the problem specified. If future work is to be done on the project, the main focus should lie on formulating additional constraints and parameters which can widen the optimized algorithm flexibility and depth. The result for this project is a foundation for optimizing schedules depending on multiple calendars together with potential for future work.

The increase in connectivity and use of “smart” devices offers companies new possibilities to improve their efficiency by using digitalization. For example, booking of meeting rooms have gone from using a paper calendar to electronic booking. To enable both digital remote booking, as well as being able to book a room directly (as with a paper calendar) this project has developed a room manager system. The room manager is a device that provides a quick and intuitive way for employees to handle conference room booking. The project was started on behalf of the company ÅF, who would like to optimize their use of conference rooms.  The result was a fully functional touchscreen device built using a Raspberry Pi. The room manager integrates successfully with the existing calendar system used at ÅF and meets all the requirements set by ÅF. The device will be used to determine if a room manager system is worth investing in and may be used as a foundation for continued development.

Abstract Safety at work is not just a priority, but a fundamental value, shared by employees, contractors and local stakeholders. People are both as the starting point and the final goal of all its actions. This is why we work hard to ensure the safety of each of us and those around us, in order to eliminate all accidents. we are all committed to spreading and strengthening a culture of safety among all our people, employees or contractors, as an essential part of our work. Companies develop campaigns and projects to promote a safe and healthy behavior in any workplace and, more in general, in everyday life. Virtuous tools and means of communication include workshops, theatre events and round table discussions, as well as video clips sharing what we learned from past safety hazards and the HSE Safety Golden Rules, our key safety rules. The continuous involvement of top management, contractors, representatives from local communities, or external guests, increases its commitment to safety. This paper presenting one of the effective program which is designed and launched by an Oil & Gas Company so to allow all HSE leaders to self-evaluate their level of commitment towards HSE-related aspects and plan a number of important activities that would ultimately increase one's level of HSE commitment and enhance the safety culture through a Web Portal program called " My Personal HSE Commitment". The portal provides the possibility to develop an action plan related to specific corrective and/or proactive actions/tasks that the user wishes to keep track of. The most important part is also, The Web tool is furthermore capable of generating a personal HSE Commitment Poster that the user "The Safety Leader" can share worldwide thanks to the portal integration with Microsoft Outlook. Moreover, users can search others Posters – allowing for the widest dissemination of one's HSE Commitment among other users. By applying this program, companies engaged all its Leaders and Management in the process of creating a strong HSE Culture and also, increasing the competition between leaders and program users by allowing each one to get access to others’ commitment posters. By taking part of this program, each user can see - online - his direct HSE Commitment and be aware of others’ results which is creating a strong and transparent ability of positive competition and real outcomes based on each one's performed activities. Once the companies applied this program, we can immediately see a considerable increase of HSE activities performed by all users and HSE leaders worldwide and this paper highlighted the results achieved & HSE performance improvement thanks to the way this program was created which helped a deep involvement of each leaders in the process of raising the HSE commitment of the company's management.
