Microsoft Visual C++ was used to achieve the online acquisition and display of the track parameters, based on the comprehensive online testing car platform of rail transport railway catenary and track. The communication between PC104 embedded IPC and MCU data acquisition system was accomplished through serial port and MSComm control. The static window-split method and MSChart control were both used to draw the several parameters real-time lines in different grids of a window. Using ADO to save data was also introduced. The operation result show the functions of acquiring,displaying and saving track parameters ,which are expected and required, are realized.

The program will calculate the minimum factor of safety, and automatically draw the two-dimensional (2-D) critical slip surface after user input the basic parameters. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Toko Accurate Jaya Computer di Jl. Yos Sudarso , Teluk Llingga Kota Sangatta. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu studi lapangan dan studi pustaka. Untuk metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan yaitu waterfall. Untuk metode analisis dan desain sistem penulis menggunakan Data Flow Diagram (DFD), Hierarchy Plus Input Output (HIPO), Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) serta struktur Database input output system. Perangkat lunak yang digunakan adalah Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 sebagai bahasa pemrograman, Seagate Crystal Report 8 untuk pembuatan laporan, dan Microsoft Access 2007 untuk pembuatan database. Untuk Ujicoba/Testing Penulis Menggunakan Black Box dan White Box. Dari hasil penelitian ini diperoleh sebuah aplikasi berbasis Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 yang berbasis client-Server, yang bertujuan untuk mengatasi berbagai kendala dalam hal-hal yang menyangkut servis barang pada Toko Accurate Jaya, baik dalam hal pendataan barang masuk, pendataan pelanggan, inventarisasi biaya kerusakan, proses persetujuan servis dan konfirmasi kerusakan terhadap konsumen, hingga pembuatan laporan servis barang. Tujuan dari fungsi client -server pada aplikasi itu sendiri dimaksudkan agar data dapat diakses oleh semua karyawan, baik administrator maupun teknisi pada satu perangkat server sehingga tidak perlu dilakukan cross-check atau sinkronisasi data.

MonoDevelop es un IDE libre y gratuito diseñado como alternativa a Visual Studio de Microsoft para el desarrollo de aplicaciones en C# y otros lenguajes soportados por .NET, que pesar de su amplio desarrollo aún adolece de algunas funcionalidades que Visual Studio ofrece. Entre las carencias que MonoDevelop tiene se encuentra el no poseer una interfaz que facilite la configuración y administración del servicios de suscripciones de ASP.NET a como lo tiene Visual Studio lo que obliga al usuario de MonoDevelop a realizar todas las configuraciones de forma manual. En este artículo se describen las etapas realizadas para el desarrollo de un addin (complemento) para MonoDevelop 2.8 que permite la implementación del servicio de suscripciones de ASP.NET 2.0 de manera similar a como se realiza en Visual Studio 2008. Como alternativa al gestor SQL Server 2008 de Microsoft empleado en la implementación del servicio de suscripciones desde Visual Studio 2008, se ha seleccionado PostgreSQL 8.4 como gestor de bases de datos para esta implementación por ser libre, gratuito y de alta compatibilidad con MonoDevelop 2.8.

According to two standards for soil test methods with liquid and plastic limit combined test, a liquid and plastic limit data treated system was developed using object-oriented visual programming Microsoft Visual C++6.0 based on analytical method. The flow char indicated that programs of the system used select structure and its nested structure as main its algorithm. Contrasted with manual graphic method, the liquid and plastic limit data treated system had high efficiency and reliable accuracy.

Abstract:
This report represents a comparison between two different tools used to create an online store that was developed by two students at the Technical University in Jönköping. The web shop will be of great benefit to both customers and administrator in a food firm known as Mattias' Livs. The company wanted an online store that facilitates the sale section and gives a full control of their stocks. The aim of this thesis is to create an online store that offers customers the ability to shop online and help the staff to operate the company in a simpler and more efficient way, which reduces the need for human resources and thus leads to less costs for the company. The aim also includes a comparison between the two different tools used to create the online store. At the start of work, the authors discussed the problem with the client and finally came up with a set of requirements, which our work is based on. The report includes an introduction chapter, which is divided into two different sections. The first section describes the background and problem description. While second chapter describes the purpose of the thesis and the subjects that the students will respond at the end of the report. The study compares the two different tools, which is Microsoft Visual Studio and osCommerce. Visual Studio has been the market leader in Internet-based applications since 1997. While osCommerce is a newer tool that has gained significant market share. The two tools are examined through the creation of two websites built into each tool. The results of this study show that Microsoft Visual Studio is a more efficient alternative for creating a stable web applications, but the tool has also some usability problems due to programming complexity. OsCommerce is a simple tool that has some issues with the design customization, at the same time it has a usable interface for the administrator. The web shop was published online by installing the application on a host server which means the customers can order products online.

Microsoft ha introdotto nella versione 2015 di Visual Studio un nuovo compilatore per i linguaggi C# e Visual Basic chiamato Roslyn. Oltre che un compilatore, Roslyn è una piattaforma che mette a disposizione degli sviluppatori servizi per analizzare e modificare progetti .NET, interagire con le varie fasi della compilazione e creare applicazioni per l'analisi e generazione di codice sorgente. Obiettivo della tesi vuole essere lo studio della suddetta piattaforma ed il suo utilizzo nello sviluppo di estensioni per Visual Studio. La tesi si pone pertanto nel contesto delle tecniche di analisi e generazione di codice sorgente. Il lavoro di tesi ha previsto lo sviluppo di due applicazioni facenti uso delle API di Roslyn. La prima applicazione consiste in un analizzatore di codice C# che provvede alla segnalazione di warning riguardanti l'errato utilizzo del costrutto var e all'esplicitazione del tipo relativo. La seconda applicazione riguarda un generatore di codice C# che utilizza i servizi di Roslyn per semplificare e automatizzare la scrittura di codice nel contesto del framework Phoenix. I risultati ottenuti possono essere d'aiuto per un successivo studio della piattaforma Roslyn ed essere usati come punto di partenza per la creazione dei propri applicativi per l'analisi e generazione di codice sorgente.

The user's mobile communication device has an increasing sense of where the user is. This location information may be very fine grained or very coarse. Given some amount of location information it is possible to create location aware services. This thesis presents and evaluates a system for location aware web browsing. Indoors the user can click on a point on a map (to establish a virtual location using a previously installed user application), outdoors the location can be provided by GPS, or the location might be provided by some other location system (indoors or outdoors), then each HTTP GET request for a URL will be augmented with information about the user's location or their virtual location. Subsequently a web query is created. Then the location information encoded as longitude and latitude is appended to this web query. The web server uses this location information to generate dynamically location aware web pages. Finally a web browser shows the web pages.
Tillgång till information varsomhelst och vilken tid som helst är en viktig utkom av modern rörliga kommunikations systems. Alltmera har användarens terminal kännedom om användarens plats. Informationen om platsen kan vara lite eller omfattande. Tillgång till information om platsen gör det möjligt att skapa platsmedvetna tjänster. I den här master thesis presenterar och utvärderar jag ett system för plats medvetna web användning. Abstract:
My independent work has been to modernize a user interface in a 10-year-old MVC Framework application used by Skärblacka mills within the BillerudKorsnäs Group. The concept of modernization also means increasing its quality; to replace older knowledge and technology with new and modern technology such as be able to click on the text of a checkbox that is considered to be more relevant for its time. The framework chosen for the implementation was ASP.NET Core MVC, which is an open source for the most common platforms. The implementation of the porting meant that server code that is well-functioning has been maintained to a large extent. JavaScript is also pretty much the same except in a few places. To get a good and durable structure, the application is layered in the form of 3 layers with Controller, BusinessLayer and Repository. The database with SQL Server is basically the same except that Identity has been introduced. To be able to communicate with the database, ORM EF Core has been chosen, which is a slim version of EF. A lot of what is in the old MVC framework has been redesigned because it is not supported in Core MVC. The application consists of an assembly with a logical development tree that consists of the files included in the application.Ajax has been used to get soft desktop-like updates.The application, which is complex with a lot of complicated things, made time run away.
Mitt självständiga arbete har varit att modernisera ett användargränssnittet i en 10 år gammal MVC Framework applikation som används av Skärblacka bruk inom BillerudKorsnäs koncernen. I begreppet modernisera ligger också innebörden att öka dess kvalité; att byta ut äldre kunskaper och teknik mot ny och modern teknik som t.ex. kunna klicka på texten till en checkbox som anses vara av mer relevans för sin tid. Det ramverk som valdes för implementationen var ASP.NET Core MVC som är ett open sourse för de vanligaste plattformarna. Genomförandet av porteringen innebar att serverkod som är väl fungerande har bibehållits i stora delar. Även JavaScript är i stort sett densamma förutom på några få ställen. För att få en bra och hållbar struktur är applikationen skiktad i form av 3 lager med Controller, BusinessLayer och Repository. Databasen med SQL Server är i stort sett densamma förutom att Identity har införs. För att kunna kommunicera med databasen har man valt ORM EF Core som är en slimmad version av EF. En hel del av det som finns i den gamla MVC framework är omgjort eftersom det stöds in i Core MVC. Applikationen består av en assembly med ett logiskt utvecklingsträd som utgörs av de filer som ingår i applikationen. Ajax har används för att få mjuka desktop liknade uppdateringar. Applikationen som är komplex med en hel del komplicerade saker gjorde att tiden rann iväg.

Microsoft Embedded Visual Tools were designed to develop applications that run on Windows CE devices (e.g., Pocket PC and Handheld PC 2000). It is a free software product that can be downloaded at the www.microsoft.com Web site. Two programming languages are supported by Microsoft Embedded Visual Tools: Embedded Visual Basic (eVB) and Embedded Visual C++ (eVC). These two programming languages are versions of Visual Basic and Visual C++ with limited capabilities, respectively. Therefore, developers with Visual Basic or Visual C++ experience can easily leverage their existing expertise to develop mobile or wireless applications. Since many developers are familiar with Visual Basic, we will explore the techniques of using eVB to develop applications for wireless devices in this chapter.

n the previous chapter on mobile application development, we developed an order placement system (OPS) using Microsoft Embedded Visual Basic (EVB). Although EVB provides developers with the basic tools for developing mobile applications, it has many limitations. Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 addresses these limitations by including tools for developing smart device applications. Using these tools, developers can create mobile applications for PocketPCs or other Windows CE devices with relative ease and flexibility. Similar to EVB, Visual Studio .NET uses a form-based approach to build applications and provides developers with WYSIWYG tools for user interface development, but as you will find in this chapter, it not only provides many new tools to enrich the application but also simplifies many tasks that are cumbersome in EVB (i.e., creating menus and interacting with databases). Furthermore, Visual Studio .NET allows developers to use a number of different programming languages including Visual Basic and C# to develop applications so that developers can leverage their existing programming skill sets. To illustrate how Visual Studio .NET can be deployed to develop mobile applications, we will develop an upgraded version of the OPS in this chapter. In order to provide a better comparison between Visual Studio .NET and EVB, we will use Visual Basic as the programming language in this project.

Abstract:
The mission of the Transmutation Research Program (TRP) at University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is to establish a nuclear engineering test bed that can carry out effective transmutation and advanced reactor research and development effort. TRPSEMPro package, developed from previous project period, integrated a chemical separation code from the Argonne National Laboratories (ANL). Current research focus has two folds: development of simulation system processes applied to Spent Fuel Treatment Facility (SFTF) using ASPEN-plus and further interaction of ASPEN+ program from TRPSEMPro interface. More details will be discussed below. ANL has identified three processes simulations using their separation technologies. The first process is to separate aqueous acid streams of acetic acid, nitric acid, water and a variety of fission product nitric salts. Distillation separation method is used to remove the desired components from the streams. The second simulation is to convert plutonium nitrate to plutonium metal. Steps used for the process simulation are precipitation, calcinations, fluorination and reduction. The third process currently under development is vitrification of fission product of raffinate streams. During the process, various waste streams from the plant are mixed and fed to a process that converts them to a solid state glass phase. The vitrification process used by the Hanford and Savannah River facilities was selected as a guideline to develop the prototype simulation process using ASPEN-Plus. Current research is focusing on identifying unit operations required to perform the vitrification of the waste streams. The first two processes are near completion stage. Microsoft Visual Basic (MS VB) has been used to develop the entire system engineering model package, TRPSEMPro. Currently a user friendly interface is under development to facilitate direct execution of ASPEN-plus within TRPSEMPro. The major purpose for the implementation is to create iterative interaction among system engineering modeling, ANL separation model and ASPEN-Plus process that outputs optimized separation/process simulation results. The ASPEN-plus access interface from TRPSEMPro allows users to modify and execute process parameters derived from the ASPEN Plus simulations without navigating through ASPEN-Plus. All ASPEN-plus simulation results can be also accessible by the interface. Such integration provide a single interaction gateway for researchers interested in SFTF process simulation without struggling with complicate data manipulation and joggling among various software packages.

SOPF is a C++ software package that incorporates a probabilistic approach for the evaluation of composite reliability of generation, load forecast and fuel prices using different probability distributions. GUI is a Visual Basic package incorporated with Microsoft Access and PowerPoint for visualization. GUI provides several simple user interface screens for handling the inputs, processes, and results. Several screens are designed and presented in this paper to show the crucial role for the GUI.

Mechatronics is the synergistic integration of mechanics, instrumentation and control, software engineering and information technology. As such it integrates well with not only the modern evolution of mechanical engineering curricula but has wide and growing manifestation in the new generation of industrial products as well as children’s toys. The present set-up of the laboratory consists of an industrial SCARA (Selective Compliance Articulated Robot Arm) robot equipped with machine vision capability for guidance, inspection and recognition associated with robotic manipulation of parts. An open loop stable vibration control platform, an open loop unstable inverted pendulum and a dual water tank system interfaced with appropriate sensors and actuators provide capabilities for learning both analog and digital control of systems belonging to the solid mechanics and fluid mechanics fields. Modern software tools that include graphical programming capability using Simulink and compilation via Real time Windows Target, Real time Workshop (all from Mathworks) and Visual C++ (Microsoft) allow for developing and executing variety of control algorithms on these systems. Capabilities for remote operation of these systems over the internet have also been implemented. The laboratory facilities provide education and research capability at the interfaces of traditional disciplinary boundaries. The laboratory is also equipped with LEGO MINDSTORM and LEGO DACTA products as well as the MIT Handyboard for exploration of mechatronics and robotics activities for prospective engineers and K-12 students.

The key to autonomous mobile-robot navigation is effective path planning and accurate self-localisation. The lack of self-localisation or inaccurate self-localisation makes any nonholonomic autonomous mobile robot blind in a navigation environment and will deter the robot’s ability to complete path following. In the last several years, many different systems have been considered for self-localisation, from using visual odometry to using a satellite triangulation method, better known as a global position system or GPS. All of these have benefits and detriments, the solution proposed here endeavors to offer more benefits than detriments, utilizing a novel method for self-localisation, employing a dual bearing finder digital compass configuration to resolve the relative location of an autonomous nonholonomic wheeled mobile robot. To facilitate the novel hybrid method, the utilization of the mobile robot’s multiple sensors, dual wheel quadrature shaft encoders and the digital compasses are required. To support the hardware requirements of the novel localisation methodology, the cutting edge technology of a 200 MHz 32-bit ARM 9 processor on a GHI ChipworkX module are employed. The software architecture is based on the Microsoft .NET Micro Framework 4.1 using C# and the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). Without the inputs from the dual compass configuration it would not be possible to solve the relative position of the mobile robot analytical. Without the dual compass configuration only a numeric solution is possible, which decelerates the localisation process. The mobile robot’s digital compasses are marked with unnatural markers, for faster identification by an overhead camera. Using the overhead camera tracking results and comparing the telemetry collected by the mobile robot, using the analytical equations, the validation of this method is proven. The most fundamental part of implementing a successful maneuverable nonholonomic mobile robot is accurate self-localisation telemetry. The biggest concern about using a self-localisation technique is the amount of computation it will require to complete the task. Ideally, having an analytical solution to position offers the benefit of a single solution, where the numeric solution has many solutions and requires more time and computation to derive the solution. The benefit of the dual compass configuration is that it offers an analytical solution to the hybrid model that utilizes quadrature shaft encoders and digital compasses. This methodology evidently presents a novel approach where visual odometry is not possible.

Integrating Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) into railway application has a great potential because of its various advantages, such as lower cost, less trackside equipment, higher positioning accuracy, easier maintenance and so on. Railway system is a safety-critical system that requires high reliability, safety and real-time performance, so GNSS technology must be tested, verified and validated in railway system before putting into practical applications. However, due to the unavoidable restrictions and inconvenience of the railway field conditions, these tests cannot be accomplished on site. On this basis, this paper has developed a GNSS-based train trajectory simulation system which can provide GNSS data simulation of multi-train trajectory in multiple scenarios in order to support the tests and research of GNSS-based railway application, especially GNSS-based train localisation system and GNSS-based train control system. The GNSS-based train trajectory simulation system is based on the railway timetable (also called schedule), rolling stock information and digital track map. The paper firstly researches on the timetable that stores information of each train at each specified station, including arrival time, departure rime, track to be occupied, and connections to other trains. With the timetable simulation, the train’s trajectory can be generated using the information provided by the digital track map. The output trajectory data is mainly GGA sentence which is compliant with the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) 0183 standard. The paper also calculates the satellite visibility based on satellite ephemeris to simulate the number of visible satellites during the trajectory with changing time and space. All the information and data, such as timetable, speed/distance curve, distance/time curve, station track occupation state, can be visualized and updated in graphics and diagrams for better view. In addition, the train motion behavior of acceleration, cruising, coasting and braking can also be modelled in the system, as well as the driver’s behavior. The GNSS-based train trajectory simulation system has been realized using C# programming language in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. And the field data of Shanxi coal railway transportation company railroad is used in the system. The simulation system is tested and the experimental results show that the developed simulation system can perform the expected functions, and provided data source for GNSS-based train localisation system. In addition, this simulation system has a good performance in compatibility and scalability.

In the nuclear energy field, there are so many difficult things that even people who are working in this field are not much familiar with, such as, Dose evaluation, Dose management, etc. Thus, so many efforts have been done to achieve the knowledge and data for understanding. Although some data had been achieved, the applications of these data to necessary cases were more difficult job. Moreover, the type of Dose evaluation program until now was ‘Console type’ which is not easy enough to use for the beginners. To overcome the above causes of difficulties, the window-based integrated program and database management were developed in our research lab. The program, called as INSREC, consists of four sub-programs as follow; INSREC-NOM, INSREC-ACT, INSREC-MED, and INSREC-EXI. In ICONE 11 conference, INSREC-program (ICONE-36203) which can evaluates on/off-site dose of nuclear power plant in normal operation was introduced. Upgraded INSREC-program which will be presented in ICONE 14 conference has three additional codes comparing with pre-presented INSREC-program. Those subprograms can evaluate on/off-site Dose of nuclear power plant in accident cases. And they also have the functions of ‘Dose evaluation and management’ in the hospital and provide the ‘Expert system’ based on knowledge related to nuclear energy/radiation field. The INSREC-NOM, one of subprograms, is composed of ‘Source term evaluation program’, ‘Atmospheric diffusion factor evaluation program’, ‘Off-site dose evaluation program’, and ‘On-site database program’. The INSREC-ACT is composed of ‘On/Off-site dose evaluation program’ and ‘Result analysis program’ and the INSREC-MED is composed of ‘Workers/patients dose database program’ and ‘Dose evaluation program for treatment room’. The final one, INSREC-EXI, is composed of ‘Database searching program based on artificial intelligence’, ‘Instruction program,’ and ‘FAQ/Q&A boards’. Each program was developed by using of Visual C++, Microsoft Access mainly. To verify the reliability, some suitable programs were selected such as AZAP and Strardose programs for the comparison. The AZAP program was selected for the on/off-site dose evaluation during the normal operation of nuclear reactor and Stardose program was used for the on/off-site dose evaluation in accident. The MCNP code was used for the dose evaluation and management in the hospital. Each comparison result was acceptable in errors analysis. According to the reliable verification results, it was concluded that INSREC program had an acceptable reliability for dose calculation and could give many proper dada for the sites. To serve the INSREC to people, the proper server system was constructed. We gave chances for the people (user) to utilize the INSREC through network connected to server system. The reactions were pretty much good enough to be satisfied. For the future work, many efforts will be given to improve the better user-interface and more necessary data will be provided to more people through database supplement and management.
