Semakin banyaknya tuntutan pekerjaan, membuat berbagai Instansi perusahaan, baik perkantoran, pabrik, ataupun lainnya masing-masing memiliki Sumber Daya Manusia yang tidak bisa dibilang sedikit. Dengan meningkatnya jumlah Sumber Daya Manusia tersebut, tidak sedikit para instansi perusahaan memberikan sebuah jaminan yang akan diberikan kepada para pegawainya setelah pegawai tersebut menyelesaikan masa purna bakti. Jaminan tersebut berupa Jaminan Hari Tua atau bisa disebut juga dengan Manfaat Pensiun. Pada penerapan yang ada, sistem pembayaran yang tepat dapat memberikan kepuasan bagi para pekerja maupun perusahaan itu sendiri, namun hal tersebut belum terlaksanan sesuai dengan sasaran pada sistem pembayaran pensiun terhadap karyawan. Pada analisa penelitian ini, penggunaan Aplikasi Sistem INTERDAP (Sistem Informasi Terpadu Dana Pensiun) bertujuan untuk mengetahui manfaat dan informasi dari sistem pengolahan data dan informasi pada suatu Dana Pensiun. Rancangan aplikasi sistem dengan menggunakan SQL server dan aplikasi Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0, menjadi metode sistem yang digunakan untuk dapat terintegrasi (akuntansi, investasi, keuangan, sumber daya manusia & umum dan kepesertaan serta tata usaha) dan mendukung prinsip Tata kelola Dana Pensiun yang baik pada PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero). Dimana hal ini dapat mejadi pemecah masalah penyampaian informasi dari manfaat pensiun kepada para pegawai, untuk mengetahui proses pembayaran pensiun tersebut. Agar sampai tepat kepada para pesertanya yaitu, pegawai PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) setelah para pesertanya memasuki masa pensiun. Abstract:
From late 1990s to early 2000s, the availability of powerful computing capability, large storage devices, high-speed networking, and especially the advent of the Internet, led to a phenomenal growth of digital multimedia content in terms of size, diversity, and impact. As suggested by its name, “multimedia” is a name given to a collection of data of multiple types, which include not only “traditional multimedia” such as images and videos, but also emerging media such as 3D graphics (like VRML objects) and Web animations (like Flash animations). Furthermore, relevant techniques have been developed for a growing number of applications, ranging from document editing software to digital libraries and many Web applications. For example, most people who have used Microsoft Word have tried to insert pictures and diagrams into their documents, and they have the experience of watching online video clips such as movie trailers from Web sites such as YouTube.com. Multimedia data have been available in every corner of the digital world. With the huge volume of multimedia data, finding and accessing the multimedia documents that satisfy people’s needs in an accurate and efficient manner becomes a nontrivial problem. This problem is referred to as multimedia information retrieval. The core of multimedia information retrieval is to compute the degree of relevance between users’ information needs and multimedia data. A user’s information need is expressed as a query, which can be in various forms such as a line of free text like “Find me the photos of George Washington,” a few keywords like “George Washington photo,” a media object like a sample picture of George Washington, or their combinations. On the other hand, multimedia data are represented using a certain form of summarization, typically called index, which is directly matched against queries. Similar to a query, the index can take a variety of forms, including keywords, visual features such as color histogram and motion vector, depending on the data and task characteristics. For textual documents, mature information retrieval (IR) technologies have been developed and successfully applied in commercial systems such as Web search engines. In comparison, the research on multimedia retrieval is still in its early stage. Unlike textual data, which can be well represented by term vectors that are descriptive of data semantics, multimedia data lack an effective, semantic-level representation that can be computed automatically, which makes multimedia retrieval a much harder research problem. On the other hand, the diversity and complexity of multimedia data offer new opportunities for the retrieval task to be leveraged by the techniques in other research areas. In fact, research on multimedia retrieval has been initiated and investigated by researchers from areas of multimedia database, computer vision, natural language processing, human-computer interaction, and so forth. Overall, it is currently a very active research area that has many interactions with other areas. In the coming sections, we will overview the techniques for multimedia information retrieval, followed by a review on the applications and challenges in this area. Then, the future trends will be discussed, and some important terms in this area are defined at the end of this chapter.

Abstract:
Computer-based information management systems have allowed many companies and facilities to greatly improve their data storage and processing capabilities over traditional paper and file methods. The Internet and its associated web-based technologies have further contributed to information processing capabilities. The Federal Transit Administration’s Bus Testing Program, operated by the Pennsylvania Transportation Institute at the Pennsylvania State University requires an upgrade to such a system. Currently, all bus test data is entered directly into a hardcopy report, and data analysis must be performed manually. The objective in this research is to develop an information management system for the bus test data to facilitate access to the data, enable search queries, and perform statistical analyses to examine current trends or predict performance characteristics of future buses. A database has been created in Microsoft Access and linked to a user-friendly graphical user interface developed in Visual Basic for fast and nearly error-free data entry. A web-based infrastructure comprised of HTML, XML, ASP, and customized COM objects is used to display, search, and analyze the bus test data. The resulting information system saves time and money for PTI while enabling easy access to bus test reports.

Abstract:
Mechatronics is the synergistic integration of mechanics, instrumentation and control, software engineering and information technology. As such it integrates well with not only the modern evolution of mechanical engineering curricula but has wide and growing manifestation in the new generation of industrial products as well as children’s toys. The present set-up of the laboratory consists of an industrial SCARA (Selective Compliance Articulated Robot Arm) robot equipped with machine vision capability for guidance, inspection and recognition associated with robotic manipulation of parts. An open loop stable vibration control platform, an open loop unstable inverted pendulum and a dual water tank system interfaced with appropriate sensors and actuators provide capabilities for learning both analog and digital control of systems belonging to the solid mechanics and fluid mechanics fields. Modern software tools that include graphical programming capability using Simulink and compilation via Real time Windows Target, Real time Workshop (all from Mathworks) and Visual C++ (Microsoft) allow for developing and executing variety of control algorithms on these systems. Capabilities for remote operation of these systems over the internet have also been implemented. The laboratory facilities provide education and research capability at the interfaces of traditional disciplinary boundaries. The laboratory is also equipped with LEGO MINDSTORM and LEGO DACTA products as well as the MIT Handyboard for exploration of mechatronics and robotics activities for prospective engineers and K-12 students.

Abstract:
O presente trabalho tem como objetivo principal o desenvolvimento de um programa computacional para projetos de eficiência luminosa, através da ferramenta Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), ferramenta que pode ser utilizada no Microsoft Excel para dar mais opções de controle e edição de uma planilha. Basicamente, o VBA atua como uma linguagem de programação a serviço do usuário, permitindo a criação de macros e automação de diversos processos computacionais dentro das planilhas e tabelas desenvolvidas em Excel. O termo Eficiência Energética (EE) é uma atividade que busca melhorar o uso de fontes energéticas, ou seja, refere-se a ações de diversas naturezas que resultam na redução de energia elétrica para atender as demandas da sociedade. Este conceito está atrelado ao uso racional de energia, em que consiste em obter o melhor desempenho possível com o menor dispêndio de energia. Dessa maneira, várias ações de eficiência energética contribuem para o uso racional de energia, como a substituição de lâmpadas tradicionais por lâmpadas LED proposto pelo projeto. Um erro comum na hora de substituir as lâmpadas convencionais pelo modelo tipo LED é usar apenas a potência como parâmetro. Uma das principais vantagens das peças LED é a economia, consequentemente, a sua potência (ou consumo) será, naturalmente inferior à das lâmpadas convencionais. Uma lâmpada do tipo LED de 7 W tem o mesmo nível de iluminamento que uma lâmpada incandescente de 60 W, havendo, assim, uma economia de 53 Watts por hora (W/h) ou quase 90% de economia. Além disso, a vida útil de lâmpadas LED é 50 vezes maior e o calor que é transferido para o ambiente é menor, portanto, locais climatizados gastarão menos energia para o resfriamento do ambiente. Nesse ínterim, o projeto visa propor um programa computacional, em VBA, que terá como finalidade o auxiliamento no processo de tomada de decisão, por parte dos consumidores, nos assuntos que tangem a troca de lâmpadas convencionais por lâmpadas LED. Vale destacar, ainda, que o programa computacional a ser desenvolvido não necessitarão do uso da internet, funcionando de forma offline. Assim, o próprio software que determinará a fatura de energia elétrica, considerando as tarifas convencional e branca, para consumidores do grupo B. Com isso, o consumidor poderá decidir migrar da tarifa convencional para a tarifa branca, a fim de reduzir o custo de energia elétrica consumida. Já o programa computacional para eficientização em iluminação, o consumidor poderá projetar a troca de iluminação existente por iluminação do tipo LED, que é mais eficiente e apresenta menor consumo de energia elétrica. Dessa forma, o consumidor também poderá ter uma redução no consumo e na fatura de energia elétrica, o que também traz benefícios para o sistema elétrico.

Introdução: A escolha do método contraceptivo é de extrema importância para a realização do planejamento familiar e para a vivência saudável da sexualidade. Para uma seleção assertiva, é imprescindível considerar fatores biológicos, culturais e econômicos de cada indivíduo. Por existir uma ampla variedade de métodos, é essencial compreender sua indicação, disponibilidade, efeitos colaterais e modo de utilização. Logo, ter pouco conhecimento sobre os contraceptivos ainda é um empecilho para a população. Apesar de estudantes da área da saúde serem um público com acesso a informações sobre saúde sexual e reprodutiva, é frequente entre eles comportamentos sexuais de risco por incoerências no uso de contraceptivos. Isso evidencia que, para uma atividade sexual segura, é necessário, além do conhecimento formal, motivação para a adoção do comportamento preventivo e competências práticas para a constância dessa conduta. Objetivo: Identificar os métodos contraceptivos mais utilizados por estudantes de medicina de uma universidade pública do Piauí. Métodos: Foi realizado um estudo descritivo e transversal com uma amostra de 190 alunos de medicina de uma instituição pública do estado do Piauí. A coleta de dados foi feita por um questionário, via Formulário Google, que continha 27 perguntas. Utilizou-se, para análise de dados, planilha do Microsoft Excel e teste estatístico χ2 de Pearson. Os participantes tiveram acesso ao Termo de Consentimento Livre e Esclarecido (TCLE) antes de preencher o questionário. O estudo foi aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da referida universidade. Resultados e conclusão: A maioria dos participantes é do sexo masculino (59%), tem de 18 a 22 anos (62%) e está namorando (51%). A maior parte dos estudantes sabe da existência de diversos métodos contraceptivos, com destaque para preservativos, anticoncepcional oral e dispositivo intrauterino (DIU). Dos participantes da pesquisa, 86% já tiveram relação sexual e, deles, 89% fizeram uso de contracepção na primeira relação sexual, sendo a camisinha masculina o método mais escolhido. A respeito do uso de contraceptivos atualmente, 84% responderam que utilizam. Deles, 49% usam o preservativo masculino e os que não fazem uso de nenhum método contraceptivo alegam que não têm relações sexuais no momento. Sobre o uso de contracepção de emergência, 55% dos estudantes já utilizaram, e a maioria por mais de três vezes. No tocante à educação sexual e reprodutiva recebida, 48% julgam-na suficiente e 21% ótima. As fontes mais citadas foramescola (82%) e internet (79%). Logo, apesar de o estudo ter sido realizado com um público que tem acesso à informação sexual e reprodutiva, é essencial aperfeiçoar a educação sobre essa temática, que é oferecida ao estudante de medicina da instituição onde a pesquisa foi realizada com vistas a contribuir para uma formação discente holística e para a promoção do cuidado pessoal.
