ZusammenfassungShisha-Tabak benötigt im Vergleich zur Zigarette höhere Konzentrationen des Feuchthaltemittels Glycerin. Seit Mai 2016 ist die bis dahin gültige Limitierung von Feuchthaltemitteln in Tabak auf 5 % aufgehoben. Derzeit ist das toxikologische Profil des Glycerins jedoch noch nicht hinreichend erforscht.Ziel dieser Arbeit war es, Glycerin auf mögliche zyto- und genotoxische Effekte zu untersuchen, um so das Gefährdungspotenzial durch Glycerin im Shisha-Tabak zu beurteilen und die tabakkontrollpolitische Situation in Deutschland zu diskutieren. ZusammenfassungDie Biodosimetrie leistet einen wichtigen Beitrag zum Verständnis der Wirkung ionisierender Strahlung. Ziel dieser Übersichtsarbeit ist es daher, Methoden und Ergebnisse der Biodosimetrie und deren Zusammenhang mit der physikalischen Dosimetrie vorzustellen. Die Daten dieser Arbeit wurden aus Veröffentlichungen nach 1995 erhoben. Die dabei verwendeten Methoden sind hauptsächlich die Analyse dizentrischer Chromosomen, der Mikrokern-Assay, sowie der γ-H2AX-Assay in Lymphozyten. Zusammenfassung Hintergrund Die Studienlage zu Kautabak und Zigarettenrauch ist eindeutig und zeigt karzinogenes Potenzial. Über Schnupftabak ist hingegen wenig bekannt, v. a. auf zellulärer Ebene gibt es keine ausreichenden wissenschaftlichen Publikationen. Somit lässt sich die eventuell mutagene Wirkung von Schnupftabak nur schwer einschätzen. The classic view of trout (Salmo trutta) life history is that trout begins its life in freshwater, migrates to the ocean after about 1-4 years and then returns to freshwater to spawn. Although modern computer systems process increasing amounts of sensitive, private, and valuable information, most of today’s operating systems (OSs) fail to protect confidential data against unauthorized disclosure over covert channels. Securing the large code bases of these OSs and checking the secured code for the absence of covert channels would come at enormous costs.
