Background: Cleft lip is the most common congenital defect found in children, with a prevalence of 0.5 to 1.6 per 1000 live births. Besides causing functional problems, a cleft lip greatly affects the patient's aesthetic appearance. Therefore, several surgical techniques have been developed to produce a good clinical appearance to support the patient's social functioning. The Millard and Fisher technique is the most widely used cleft lip surgery (cheiloplasty) technique. In International Conference on Women Researchers in Electronics and Computing. AIJR Publisher, 2021. http://dx.doi.org/10.21467/proceedings.114.14.

Abstract:
Neuro-amplifiers form an integral part of biomedical implantable devices. In this paper, we design a neuro-amplifier circuit with Miller compensation capacitor. The neuro-amplifier design is based on operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) with an active load. In this work, performance of the neuro-amplifier is enhanced by incorporating the Miller compensation technique. Design and simulation of the neuro-amplifier circuit is performed using SPICE simulation software. Body biasing and feedback techniques are imparted to optimize the circuit performance. Simulation results show that the ne

The Spanish Vocal Technique of Singing, taught in Brazil by Prof. Victor Olivares in the period from the 60s to 2008, and by the author of this article, from 1990 to the present, offers specificities linked to aspects of voice physiology, in the work of Ph.-E. Souchard (1989a and 1989b), also compared to other vocal techniques such as French and German. In this article we discuss these peculiarities, dialoguing with information present in the work of Richard Miller (1997) about vocal techniques of different nationalities.

Abstract:
Abstract Three techniques have been developed for TEM sample preparation to improve efficiency in terms of time reduction and success rate. The first technique is to closely control the thickness of a sample for a specific area to less than 10µm by mechanical polishing before undergoing FIB thinning. The second one is to repair cracks produced during mechanical polishing before further milling in the ion miller. The last one is to provide an in-FIB remedy for face-to-face cross-sectional samples, which peel from each other during mechanical polishing. These new techniques will substantially en
