American mink fur is an important economic product, but the molecular mechanisms underlying its color formation and fur development remain unclear. We used RNA-seq to analyze the skin transcriptomes of young and adult mink with two different hair colors. A fully hydrogel-supported, artificial hair cell (AHC) sensor based on bilayer membrane mechanotransduction is designed with sensitivity and versatility in mind. Thanks to fabrication improvements from previous generations, the sensor demonstrates peak current outputs in the nanoamp range and can clearly measure inputs as high as 2k Hz. Characterization of the AHC response to base excitation and air pulses show that membrane current oscillates with the first three bending modes of the hair. Den 15-19 maj 2022 medverkade Agtech 2030, genom undertecknad, i en delegationsresa till Israel. Resan var kulmen på olika aktiviteter under 3 års tid. En milstolpe skedde 2019 då vi fick ett brev från Israels ambassadör Ilan Ben-Dov, som resultat av en artikel vi hade skrivit på DN Debatt. Sedan dess har analyser och dialoger genomförts med tema Israel/Agtech. Syftet med resan som nu äntligen blev av var att ge ett keynoteföredrag, delta i diskussioner med svenska och israeliska företag samt göra studiebesök i innovationsmiljöer. Odlingssystemet ”Strimsådd av ekologiska radodlade grödor i utvintrande mellangrödor”, som studerats i detta projekt, innebär att man efter plöjning på sensommaren för rotogräsbekämpning sår olika ”frostkänsliga” mellangrödor i augusti-september. Biomassan från mellangrödan vissnar ner eller fryser bort under vintern och får står kvar på fältet till våren. På våren sås en ny huvudgröda i mellangrödans växtrester efter att ”såstrimmor” hackats fram i sommarmellangrödan, d.v.s. huvudgrödan etableras i ett ”strip-till-system”.
