INTRODUCTION Vision-related quality of life questionnaires are additional tools to achieve the comprehensive evaluation of the result obtained after refractive surgery, since they include both the patient’s perspective regarding their functional status and satisfaction related to their vision after treatment. surgical. OBJECTIVE To compare the quality of life between patients operated on by intraocular lens respecting the natural or phakic lens (ICL) and refractive laser surgery (LASIK) in myopia with 5 to 10 diopters to assess the utility in the decision to use one surgical technique or another. . MATERIAL AND METHODS Retrospective study performed on 120 eyes of 60 patients who underwent surgery with LASIK and ICL implantation. Patients were evaluated before surgery and after surgery the following day, two months and one year. The QIRC questionnaire was performed with a minimum of 24 months and other variables evaluated were visual acuity, refractive defects, contrast sensitivity, pupil, Schirmer test, Esthesiometry and surgery indices. RESULTS In our study, we obtained that the score of the refractive correction-related quality of life questionnaire (QIRC) was higher for patients operated on phakic implantable lens (ICL) than for laser-assisted in situ keratomyelulesis (LASIK), although statistical significance was not reached. CONCLUSIONS Both refractive techniques (ICL and LASIK) can be a good option for the correction of myopic patients with 5 to 10 diopters.

Full text-- Jaltomata bicolor "huallaco" plant of the Solanaceae family, cultivated for 5 years in community Mataruyo Cup Arahuay district, at 2450 meters altitude distribution which is the lowest level of its native plant endemic to the western flank of the Andes (valleys of the Rimac, Chillon and Pativilca). The plant subarbustiva 0,80 – 1,95 m high, axonomorfa root, stem cylindrical 0,7 to 2,3 cm in diameter, 4 to 5 aristate at the apex, with numerous lenticels and branched from the base. Leaves alternate ovate lanceolate 5 to 12 cm long, apex acuminate, edge and base subdentado asymmetric. Flowers arranged in cymes nutantes, stalked 2 – 5 (-7) flowers per inflorescence. Spherical berry fruit compressed at the poles of 10-24 mm in diameter. Anatomical study demonstrated in the secondary structure of the root ideoblastos the presence of grit crystaliferous. On the surface were recognized cauline papillose epidermal cells and multicellular branched trichomes. Bifacial leaf structure with drusen, with multicellular trichomes conical, glandular and branched. The cultivation of the species began germinating seeds of wild plants in the laboratory. The seedlings were transferred to Mataruyo for acclimatization in the shed and then to cropland. The average production of flowers and fruits recorded in four periods of flowering-fruiting during the years 2003-2007 was 650 flowers and 445 fruits. The nutritional value of fruits is evidenced by the presence of Vitamin "A" and "C". Vegetative propagation by cuttings produced better results in the rooting of the plant with indole butyric acid treatment and banding. In cuttings the results were positive both with and without treatment. Rooted-layers without treatment. Vegetative propagation by cuttings and layering were positive by rooting occurred. However for propagation by cuttings requires treatment with IBA for rooting and girdling of the plant. The population has never grown the plant according to ethnobotanical studies, however the people associated with the conditions of growth of wild plants "huallaco" with the production of potato crop in the area. J. bicolor is a critically endangered plant, due to the drought in the study area (171,4 to 334 mm) and be exposed to be consumed by livestock (young stem, leaves) and fruits are very sought after by birds and man. -- Keyword: Solanaceae, anatomy, crop, fruit, propagation.

Considering the growing ageing of population and the proliferation of new technologies of information and communication, it’s an important asset provide the adequate resources for the senior grasp of new technologies. This research is based on the planning, realization and evaluation of four audio-visual tutorials that allow the older adults: to register on miOne community; to know the miOne community; to learn how to use e-mail on miOne community; and how to chat with others in the miOne community. In the first phase, using the exploratory methodology, knowledge and papers about this theme were analyzed to unveil what was done previously and could support the attainment of the referred tutorials. In the second phase, action-investigation methodology was applied on the planning of voice-over scripts with the focus group technic. The scripts were only completed when all the required changes were done to fit on older adults needs. The tutorials were performed for later be evaluated by the senior. In the third phase, the evaluation methodology was used, allowing assessing if three categories of the tutorials were perceived by older adults: video, voice-over and background music. In conclusion the audiovisual tutorial for miOne community to support older adults needs should have the following realization features: pauses in speech and non-formal language; use of background music, mostly instrumental and audible in voice-over silent moments; mostly male voice usage and the female just to get attention; usage of speech and video in a segmented presentation; for the credits: avoid decorative fonts; avoid motion effects on text and enforce contrast of 50:1(as an example black background and white lettering or contrariwise).
