Abstract To investigate the impact of different components on the aerodynamic characteristics of hypersonic missiles and missiles’optimization, a numerical simulation model of the typical hypersonic missile aerodynamic optimization was developed based on Ansys/Fluent. Based on this foundation, the missile was three-dimensionally modeled using Solidworks software. Detailed aerodynamic performance analysis was conducted on its head, tail, and canard configuration, which included key aerodynamic performance indicators such as drag coefficient and lift-drag ratio. The impact time control guidance (ITCG) method, which has been proposed recently, can be applied successfully to a salvo attack of multiple missiles. Compared to the proportional navigation guidance law, this guidance method makes additional manoeuvres to synchronize the impact times. However, such manoeuvres do not consider the manoeuvrability and the seeker's field-of-view (FOV) of a missile and may cause the target to move out of the missile seeker's FOV; maintaining the seeker lock-on condition during the engagement is critical for missile guidance. The major threat to international security is the proliferation of ballistic missiles and weapons of mass destruction. The United States and the former Soviet Union made huge efforts to reduce and limit offensive arms. However, presently the proliferation of ballistic missiles spreads all over the world, especially in the Middle East, because of the ballistic missile technology falling into the hands of hostile non-state groups. A new nonlinear guidance law for air-to-ground missile cooperation attacks is proposed in this paper. The missiles competition is very much linked to the nuclear competition as well.
