Abstract:
A collection of fossil invertebrates from well-known North American sites is hosted at the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales-CSIC (MNCN-CSIC) of Madrid. This collection was a result of an exchange between this Institution and the Smithsonian Institution of Washington in the sixties of this century. In this collection there are eigth items from the Walcott's Quarry site of the Burgess Shale (British Columbia, Canada). It consists of twelve specimens included in the Kingdom Monera (one phylum) and Kingdom Animalia (six phyla).

El ejemplar se compara con otras dos especies de Euthypoda encontradas en la Costa de Marfil.

The type specimens and specimens labelled as types of unavailable names of the genus Ectinogonia Spinola, 1837 deposited in the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales (MNCN-CSIC), Madrid (Spain) are catalogued and illustrated. Thirteen type or possible type specimens of five different taxa were found, including the holotype of the subspecies originally described as Ectinogonia (Ectinogonia) melichari rufimarginata Cobos, 1969 (now E. (Kheiliella) melichari rufimarginata).

The revision of the specimens of Pseudosinella at the Bonet Collection (MNCN, Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales-CSIC, Madrid) have allow us to describe four new species found among 175 slides with more than 420 specimens. One of them belongs to the petterseni-group (unguiculus with a fully developed tooth and without eyes). The differential characters of Pseudosinella species from Christiansen (2007), and four characters more, have been used for comparison with the related species.

Se presenta el catálogo de los ejemplares ibéricos del género Sphingonotus Fieber, 1852 (Orthoptera: Acrididae: Oedipodinae) conservados en la colección de Entomología del Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales de Madrid (MNCN-CSIC). En esta colección se conservan desde los ejemplares más antiguos examinados y publicados por los pioneros en la ortopterología ibérica, hasta los más recientes que han servido para aportar interesantes novedades al conocimiento del género. Todos los ejemplares han sido revisados e identificados de acuerdo al conocimiento actual de este complicado grupo.

La Colección de Invertebrados es una de las 17 colecciones científicas del Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales de Madrid (MNCN-CSIC). As a result of the revision the constituent specimens of the naturalized collection of herpets of the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales of Madrid, 165 specimens are considered historical and included in this work. Three of these are amphibians and 162 reptiles, in the latter we have included, for their uniqueness, four mounted skeletons. The remaining 158 are reptiles, 157 have been naturalized and one more is a skin preserved in fluid. Mostly, for the first time, their existence is showed.
