Abstract:
We add mobility to Place-Transition Petri nets: tokens are names for places, and an input token of a transition can be used in its postset to specify a destination. Mobile Petri nets are then further extended to dynamic nets by adding the possibility of creating new nets during the firing of a transition. In this way, starting from Petri nets, we define a simple hierarchy of nets with increasing degrees of dynamicity. For each class in this hierarchy, we provide its encoding in the former class. Our work was largely inspired by the join-calculus of Fournet and Gonthier, which turns out to be a

Choosing the best way for describing physical reality has always been standing in focus of research. Several methodologies have been developed based on classical mathematics, or statistics and also new disciplines — such as soft-computing techniques — appeared. Petri Nets as one of the most naturalistic modeling methodologies are well suited to describe complex process in general. However in some fields of modeling the describing power of basic Petri Nets proved not to be robust enough, therefore several extensions were made to the original concept. This article presents the design and implementation of an API that delivers real-time promotional notifications to mobile devices based on their proximity to shopping centers, calculated using the Haversine formula. Developed in Laravel, the API determines whether a mobile device is within a 600 m radius of any registered shopping center, such as Soriana, GranD, and HEB, and sends the relevant promotional information. The system uses Petri nets to model asynchronous behavior, enabling efficient concurrency management between the mobile application and the API. This structure ensures optimized

Their large-scale pervasive deployment within the population has promoted many malware attacks some of which are capable of infiltrating physically isolated critical control systems. This research investigates mobile malware capable of infecting and spreading through a system with heterogeneous computing, communication and storage components. Two novel prevention methods are presented: user accountability and system immunity. While the former uses a novel intrusive USB authentication,
