Mobile wireless sensor networks are not widely implemented in the real world, even after years of research carried out in this field. One reason is the lack of understanding of the impact that mobility has on network performance. The simulation and emulation of mobile wireless sensor networks is necessary before they are deployed for the real-world applications. This thesis presents a simulation-based study of different mobility models. The total area coverage that depends on the pattern of node movements is observed through simulations. However, to save power and other resources, nodes belonging to independent authorities may behave selfishly, and may not be willing to help other nodes. Such selfish behavior poses a real threat to the proper functioning of MANETs. One way to foster node cooperation is to introduce punishment for selfish nodes. Based on neighbor-monitoring techniques, a fully distributed solution to detect, punish, and re-admit selfish nodes, is proposed here. This solution provides nodes the same opportunity to

Abstract:
碩士
朝陽科技大學
資訊管理系碩士班
92
Hierarchical Mobile IPv6(HMIPv6) provides a solution to manage the local movements of Mobile Nodes’(MN) based on a hierarchical architecture. HMIPv6 utilizes a Mobility Anchor Point(MAP) to reduce the considerable number of Mobile IPv6 Binding Update messages(BU) among the MN, Correspondent Nodes(CN), and its Home Agent(HA). It achieves a faster handover time. HMIPv6 is especially effective in a wide area network having a multilevel hierarchy. More than one MAP above the Access Router(AR) can be used for redundancy and as an optimization for the different mob
