We show that it is possible to construct supersymmetric three-generation models with the Standard Model gauge group in the framework of non-simply-connected elliptically fibered Calabi–Yau threefolds, without section but with a bi-section. The fibrations on a cover Calabi–Yau threefold, where the model has six generations of SU(5) and the bundle is given via the spectral cover description, use a different description of the elliptic fiber which leads to more than one global section. We present two examples of a possible cover Calabi–Yau threefold with a free involution: one is a fiber product

We study the elliptic fibrations of some Calabi–Yau threefolds, including the Z2×Z2 orbifold with (h1,1,h2,1)=(27, 3), which is equivalent to the common framework of realistic free-fermion models, as well as related orbifold models with (h1,1,h2,1)=(51, 3) and (31, 7). However, two related puzzles arise when one considers the (h1,1,h2,1)=(27, 3) model as an F theory compactification to six dimensions. The condition for the vanishing of the gravitational anomaly is not satisfied, suggesting that the F theory compactification does not make sense, and the elliptic fibration is well defined everyw

AbstractWe study a Markovian agent-based model (MABM) in this paper. Each agent is endowed with a local state that changes over time as the agent interacts with its neighbours. The neighbourhood structure is given by a graph. Recently, Simon, Taylor, and Kiss [40] used the automorphisms of the underlying graph to generate a lumpable partition of the joint state space, ensuring Markovianness of the lumped process for binary dynamics. However, many large random graphs tend to become asymmetric, rendering the automorphism-based lumping approach ineffective as a tool of model reduction. In order t

Motivated by experimental measurements indicating deviations from the Standard Model predictions, we discuss F-theory-inspired models, which, in addition to the three chiral generations, contain a vector-like complete fermion family. The analysis takes place in the context of SU(5)×U(1)′ GUT embedded in an E8 covering group, which is associated with the (highest) geometric singularity of the elliptic fibration. In this context, the U(1)′ is a linear combination of four abelian factors subjected to the appropriate anomaly cancellation conditions. Furthermore, we require universal U(1)′ charges

The signs of dihedral angles calculated with algebraic equations are demonstrated with A2 root system Lie group. AbstractLogical universalism, a label that has been pinned on to Frege, involves the conflation of two features commonly ascribed to logic: universality and radicality. Logical universality consists in logic being about absolutely everything. Logical radicality, on the other hand, corresponds to there being the one and the same logic that any reasoning must comply with. The first part of this paper quickly remarks that Frege’s conception of logic makes logical universality prevail and does not preclude the admission of different contexts of discourse. The paper then aims to make it clear how F

There exists only six such disjoint classes: the first three corresponding to Dirac spinor fields, and the other three respectively corresponding to flagpole, flag-dipole and Weyl spinor fields. Topological states of matter can be classified only in terms of global topological invariants. These global topological invariants are encoded in terms of global observable topological phase factors in the state vectors of electrons. In condensed matter, the energy spectrum of the Hamiltonian operator has a band structure, meaning that it is piecewise continuous. The energy in each continuous piece depends on the quasi-momentum which varies in the Brillouin zone. Thus, the Brillouin zone of quasi-momentum variables constitutes the base localization space of the energy eigenstates of electrons.

Universal Causality is a mathematical framework based on higher-order category theory, which generalizes previous approaches based on directed graphs and regular categories. We present a hierarchical framework called UCLA (Universal Causality Layered Architecture), where at the top-most level, causal interventions are modeled as a higher-order category over simplicial sets and objects. Simplicial sets are contravariant functors from the category of ordinal numbers Δ into sets, and whose morphisms are order-preserving injections and surjections over finite ordered sets. AbstractThe generalized Miller–Morita–Mumford classes of a manifold bundle with fiber M depend only on the underlying $$\tau _M$$ τ M -fibration, meaning the family of vector bundles formed by the tangent bundles of the fibers. This motivates a closer study of the classifying space for $$\tau _M$$ τ M -fibrations, $$Baut(\tau _M)$$ B a u t ( τ M ) , and its cohomology ring, i.e., the ring of characteristic classes of $$\tau _M$$ τ M -fibrations. Abstract Varieties fibered into del Pezzo surfaces form a class of possible outputs of the minimal model program. It is known that del Pezzo fibrations of degrees $1$ and $2$ over the projective line with smooth total space satisfying the so-called $K^2$ -condition are birationally rigid: their Mori fiber space structure is unique. This implies that they are not birational to any Fano varieties, conic bundles, or other del Pezzo fibrations. In particular, they are irrational. The families of del Pezzo fibrations with smooth total space of degree $2$ are rather special, as for most families a g

Abstract We discuss the birational geometry and the Kodaira dimension of certain varieties previously constructed by Schreieder, proving that in any dimension they admit an elliptic fibration and they are not of general type. The $l$-dimensional variety $Y_{(n)}^{(l)}$, which is the quotient of the product of a certain curve $C_{(n)}$ by itself $l$ times by a group $G\simeq \left ({\mathbb{Z}}/n{\mathbb{Z}}\right )^{l-1}$ of automorphisms, was constructed by Schreieder to obtain varieties with prescribed Hodge numbers.
