Full textConsideration of natural hazards is not new. Management of these risks is developed little by little. The subject of research has been made in the context of a project W. A. S. S. S. (Wide Area Slope Stability Server). This server is support to a database, regrouping cases of landslides and relative information. This database is interest because the collection of data will serve to studies of risks. In its second part, this work of research approaches some stability methods of slopes, and proposes the extension of the method of perturbations in 3D, that we have applied on two cases: case theoretical of Ugaï (1988), and a real case, the landslide of Salle Beaumont (Isere), that in 1994 bad made four victims. This landslide occurred on a zone declared without apparent risk

Full textWe present a linguistic and computer model the aim of which is the understanding of linguistic items inserted in their context. This model is constituted by knowledge based systems of contextual exploration which consists in seeking linguistic clues in texts. It is shown that nothing else than a basic morpho-syntactical analysis and the use of the context of an examined linguistic item is required to build semantic representations. These contextual data express a knowledge of the language without using any other knowledge of the world. We present in details a program based on this model : seek. It is a help tool for knowledge extraction forme texts in natural language. This latter has been integrated in a workshop of cognitive engineering associated to a methodology of knowledge acquisition and modelling called metodac

Full textThree-dimensional registration (sometimes referred to as alignment or matching) is the process of transforming many 3D data sets into the same coordinate system so as to align overlapping components of these data sets. Two data sets aligned together can be two partial scans from two different views of the same object. They can also be two complete models of an object generated at different times or even from two distinct objects. Depending on the generated data sets, the registration methods are classified into rigid registration or non-rigid registration. In the case of rigid registration, the data is usually acquired from rigid objects. The registration process can be accomplished by finding a single global rigid transformation (rotation, translation) to align the source data set with the target data set. However, in the non-rigid case, in which data is acquired from deformable objects, the registration process is more challenging since it is important to solve for both the global transformation and local deformations. In this thesis, three methods are proposed to solve the non-rigid registration problem between two data sets (presented in triangle meshes) acquired from deformable objects. The first method registers two partially overlapping surfaces. This method overcomes some limitations of previous methods to solve large global deformations between two surfaces. However, the method is restricted to small local deformations on the surface in order to validate the descriptor used. The second method is developed from the framework of the first method and is applied to data for which the deformation between the two surfaces consists of both large global deformation and small local deformations. The third method, which exploits both the first and second method, is proposed to solve more challenging data sets. Although the quality of alignment that is achieved is not as good as the second method, its computation time is accelerated approximately four times since the number of optimized parameters is reduced by half. The efficiency of the three methods is the result of the strategies in which correspondences are correctly determined and the deformation model is adequately exploited. These proposed methods are implemented and compared with other methods on various types of data to evaluate their robustness in handling the non-rigid registration problem. The proposed methods are also promising solutions that can be applied in applications such as non-rigid registration of multiple views, 3D dynamic reconstruction, 3D animation or 3D model retrieval.

Full textDue to a lot of reasons, i. E. Continuous progress of computer tools in terms of software and hardware, the development of powerful spatial data acquisition tools, the generalization of spatial data and applications for an extended use, etc. A lot of spatial applications, more and more sophisticated, are carried out either as free or commercial tools. The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are proving to be major consumers of geo-referenced data. They consists in adequate, or even the most appropriate, tools for using such kind of data. Indeed, they offer various features that focus especially on the management, interrogation and representation of spatial data. The real beginning of GIS generalization was in the 1990s. But then, given the limits of computer tools, GIS were mainly interested in 2D spatial data. While at the late 1990s and during the first decade of the 21st century, GIS developers are oriented to the 3rd dimension for spatial data representation. The concept of 3D GIS then became ubiquitous and a widespread research topic around the world. As the progress of GIS is related mainly to advances in computer technology, Internet has become fastly a very promising way for the online dissemination of GIS applications. Thus, the 2D GIS are now multiple over Internet, while 3D GIS are rare. It is in this context that joins our thesis work. Indeed, the main objective is to develop a 3D GIS prototype accessible via Internet. Because GIS are multidisciplinary tools since they rely on very different concepts and technologies (data modeling, databases, development tools, 3D, etc. ), Our thesis work will focus on the basic concepts of 3D GIS, i. E. Three-dimensional spatial data modeling, spatial databases modeling (BDS, spatial data integration in the BDS), carrying out a reflection on the querying functionality of spatial data, a Web application development to access online all services offered by the GIS, etc. As for the technologies to be used for the development of GIS, our choices were oriented mainly to the free tools. The objective is to study the various technologies implemented and their combination for the establishment of a functional 3D GIS accessible over Internet
