The present study has as main object to find the relationship between the integrated phases of the grape producing companies located in Ica and the exportations to the United States. The first chapter shows the product to be analyzed related to the international arena. Subsequently, it shows previous research based on studies regarding the impact of integrated supply chain practices in different organizations. It also presents theoretical bases about the supply chain, export theories and international trade. In the second chapter, the research plan has been developed, where we will present the problem to be addressed, together with the research objectives and hypotheses, in addition to including the situation of the problem where we will touch more fully on the importance of the present study. The third chapter presents the research approach to be developed, in this quantitative case, as well as the descriptive and correlational non-experimental cross-sectional or transactional design, by collecting forms to carry out a factor analysis. In the development of the investigation, chapter four, the information from the surveys is processed, to validate the variables used. Finally, in the fifth and last chapter, the analysis of the results of the study must be presented, which indicate the most influential variables in exports according to industry experts. The most important finding of this research concludes that of all the practices that are an integral part of the supply chain of the 30 companies analyzed, only those related to sales and operations planning are related to their fresh grape exports to the United States during the period 2012 to 2018.

The level of importance given to processes under Supply Chain responsibility has increased in the last few years. For many companies the Supply Chain has become a critical factor when it comes to achieving competitive advantage in the markets and a rather relevant target for strategy. This master’s dissertation had the objective to identify the strategy proposition and the outline of the structure of processes used to build a Supply Chain integrated model of management as well as to analyze the contributions of the SCOR model towards the context of the researched company. The research strategy used herewith was an exploratory case study within a company that would provide the means for evidence from its management model. A documentary research was firstly carried out so as to identify the organizational context, listing the events that took place, the organization of the processes that support the integrated management model and the organizational and strategic motivation that led to the setup of the Supply Chain footprint. It was possible to identify the strategies and Supply Chain initiatives alignment through the analysis of content in categories that covered issues such as strategy, performance and integrated supply chain model, performance propositions and the concept of business value, and the realignment of the functional structure within an integrated concept of processes supported by practices and an extended vision of performance. Based on the documentary research and content analysis some contributions were recommended having the SCOR model applied to the current supply chain management model of the company analyzed, with the intention of collaborating with the improvement of the current integrated supply chain management model. The SCOR model analysis of Supply Chain operations and integrated management model is justified because it would not be possible to defend a position and offer contributions to Supply Chain operations without using a conceptual model or processes as reference. This case study allowed for the observation that Supply Chain started to be viewed in a strategic way when the Supply Chain management and business objectives alignment took place and from the definition of Supply Chain as an essential competence to the company’s market competition, developing an organization of processes and structure to support the proposed strategy.

Full textIn Peru, the growth of exports of dressing cloths has turned the sector of manufacturing cloths in a sector of relevant importance for the development of the country. The manufacture of dressing cloths represents 7,1 % of the GDP (Gross Domestic Product). In trade terms our country has a surplus being the principal exported product the fabrics, specifically in cotton t-shirts, due to great experience in this item by local companies. Nowadays the market of exporting companies of manufacturing clothes develops its activity by increasing the degree of exigency in terms of variety of products, quality, price and level of service. In this context, logistics has turned into a key and strategic function to reach competitive advantages. In this respect, the management of the supply chain receives every time more importance to establish plans of improvement, to improve logistic processes and, in consequence, to raise the level of competitiveness of companies. So that, the model SCOR used by the present investigation, is a tool for the organizations to diagnose the current situation in which they find the processes of the supply chain and establish the improvements that allow them to raise its level of competitiveness. In order to validate the proposed tool there appeared a series of requirements that a company of the sector should fulfill with purpose of knowing and evaluating all its processes. These requirements are: to be integrated vertically, to destine 100 % of production, which must not be less than 400 000 pieces per month to the external market, to have a prepared teamwork, innovative and interactive that can be able to give a fast answer to the changeable and demanding market; to have definite processes of logistics of inside and outside; and finally, rely on one definite system of communication in order to allow us to plan the production considering the human and material resources that are needed, as well as to exchange information with the clients: about their requirements and the information of their orders. So the selected company was Textile San Cristobel S.A., company with more than 60 years of experience on the market. The evaluation of the tool allowed us to identify not only the relevancy of the good practices proposed by the model and the approximation of these good practices to the specific and relevant processes of the sector, but the incorporation of good practices that had not been considered in the initial that turn out to be indispensable of evaluating. This work as result, gives a validated tool that can be applied by any company of manufacture, so that it will allow them to measure the scope and current condition of the processes and to appear more improvements with the purpose of being more efficient and competitive.

Full textIn the last decade the complexity of the environment in which organizations are embedded increased dramatically, having on one side the increasingly demanding consumers in regard to the quality and value of the product and the other companies with the need to reduce operating costs in order to achieve greater profitability, without this there is a downturn in growth or market share powers. In this context the necessity of effectively structuring actions relating to the line with the operational work processes so that business objectives are achieved organizational strategic planning, ensuring the competitiveness of the organization. This study aims to analyze how you have made the management of the supply chain in a grocery retailer in the light of guidelines of Supply Chain Management by using the SCOR model. For realization of this study a survey was needed, classified according to their goals, exploratory and descriptive as to its procedure, document, field and case study. Thus, the processing of data will be qualitative merit, using the thematic categorical analysis of Bardin (1977). Thus, to obtain data interviews together the operational and strategic management of a company that was named Supermarket Omega were performed. After analyzing the information obtained is perceived that there is an effort of the organization enhance its management of the supply chain. However, there is a lack of alignment between the various areas that compose it. About their work processes, we stress that the focus of the company is still very directed on sailing than profitability, although it is undergoing a transformation in its organizational culture However, records the existence of many improvement projects in developing. Thus, it can be noticed that there is some consistency between the assumptions of the SCOR model and applied within the supply chain Omega Supermarket, although a greater effort to better align with the model still needs to be studied

Full textThis paper presents and discusses a proposal based on the theory of fuzzy sets to predict performance of focus company in a supply chain modeled according to causal relationships among performance metrics proposed by SCOR (version 8.0). The use of performance measurement systems to manage performance of supply chains presents some limitations such as difficulty of interpretation of results of qualitative nature as well as the complexity of having a conventional performance measuring system that can adequately handle cause-and-effect relationships of metrics of performance of different business processes of a supply chain. On the other hand, fuzzy logic, a technique suitable for dealing with uncertainty and subjectivity, becomes an interesting alternative approach. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, the research was based on the assumption that a quantitative simulation model can be built that explain (at least in part) the behavior of operational processes. Results of simulation were very much in line with those of the SCORmark methodology (SCC). Statistical analysis of the simulation results based on surface response method also confirmed the relevance of the causal relationships embedded in the model. In general, the findings reinforces the proposition that adoption of a simulation model based on fuzzy-logic and on metrics of the SCOR model seems to be a feasible approach to help managers in the decision making process of managing performance of supply chains.

The Virtual Enterprise (VE) subject has been growing in importance in the recent years; however it is still regarded with some suspicion by more pragmatic industry leaders. The lack of business cases using the VE paradigm is due to the inexistence of proved methodologies and standards from the VE creation to the operation phase. One of these phases is the partner's search and selection, which involves several areas, from engineering to business, going through logistics, purchasing and strategic planning. Many factors can be considered when selecting the candidate partners to compose a VE. To assure that fairness will exist between the set of enterprises, a methodology must be created, leading later to some kind of standardization to select partners to compose a Virtual Enterprise. This work presents an approach to help VE managers in the selection of the most suitable enterprises to compose a VE. Applying the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method having as basis some of the metrics presented in the SCOR model, the VE manager can have a more robust view upon the partners' importance and bill of material's criticality in a given business opportunity. Moreover, a Breeding Environment historical database is proposed to increase the level of trust between its members. Finally, in order to simulate the proposed systematic approach, a multi agent system prototype was designed, implemented and tested against hypothetical scenarios.

The understanding of the process of Supply Chain Operation Reference - SCOR model can be facilitated by use of a methodology for process modeling. The use of a notation with semantics appropriate for representing these types of processes associated with the modeling and management tools, can contribute to better understanding and management of a supply chain. There are several notations proposed in the literature, for exemple, the notation for Business Modeling Notation - BPMN, the Event-Driven Process Chain - EPC and Unified Modeling Language - UML). Can also be identified some tools for computational modeling of processes, such as the Bonita Studio, ARIS Express and Intalio Designer. This study analyzed and compared some notations and support tools to best represent the computational process models SCOR. Defined notations, tools and benchmarks, the analysis indicated the Intalio BPMN notation and the most appropriate. As a final result, the notation and the tool was used to generate a library of models from standard processes of the third level of the SCOR model. Examples of model development are presented to demonstrate the adequacy of the notation and tool, ans illustrate how the model library can be used for the develpment of models of the fourth level, from the library of models for potential users. As future work, we propose the generation of role models for developing software systems based on the SCOR model

Full textThe Supply Chain Management has been showed up as an increasing model adopt in the business world, being ahead of the organizations necessities to rethink their strategies toward the organizations frontiers. Improvement on the proceedings involved on the network links of supllies has the sinergetic effect on the global network performance. This research describes the management performance of the supllies network of drugstore industry from Goiás pole, from the business process: to plan, to suplly, to produce, to distribute and to come back sanctioned by the SCOR model (Supply Chain Operations Reference) The work method consisted of a literature review, covered the contributions about the reference model, allowing that we tested five hypothesis linked on the studied process. To test the hypothesis, a survey was conducted, sent to the all eighteen drugstore industries of the pole, and had an answer tax of fifty six per cent. The results gained, treated by describes statistics techniques suggest that the drugstore industry, don t matter the charge, mainly have the supllies network based in system produced pushed, with little integration between the inter-industries process (links of the network), as the provision side as the demand side.

Full textThe object of this project is to generate a proposal to improve the inbound logistics process under the best practices of the SCOR model for a technology consultancy in Lima in order to optimize the development of strategic information generated by this process. As part of this proposal, a Data Mart will be developed to expedite the collection of this data. Inbound logistics is made up of purchasing and inventory management. This process generates strategic information that is relevant to business areas such as commercial, projects and general management. Today this process is affected by high times and poor planning of the area to carry out its activities of registration and control of information, which generates that later it can’t be consulted quickly and integrated. This directly affects decision-making. The application of SCOR model good practices to the logistics process, showed that the current percentage of time for entering information can be reduced by 35%. Also, through the implementation of the Data Mart, the percentages of operating costs and times to generate strategic information are reduced by 97% and 96% respectively. In this way the proposal demonstrates its effectiveness allowing to optimize the elaboration of strategic information of the area in order to be able to take better decisions in benefit of the business.

Abstract: The understanding of the process of Supply Chain Operation Reference - SCOR model can be facilitated by use of a methodology for process modeling.

The objective of this thesis was to construct a model of performance measurement applicable to supply chains of the automotive industry. The design of the model was based on the five SCOR processes: planning, supplying, producing, distributing and returning, on the focus of the main competitive dimensions in production strategies: cost, flexibility, delivery, quality and services. The research method was modeling. The proposed model was applied in three consecutive semesters of the supply chain operation composed of a focal company, three suppliers and three distributors. The achievement of focus group discussions with chain managers identified the SCOR processes and the priority competitive dimensions, with the help of the multicriteria Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). With the elaboration of the indicator tables, it was possible to capture the performances obtained by the chain links in the three periods analyzed. For the comparisons and totalisation of the results, the indices obtained were relativized in function of the performance objectives attributed to the chain companies. Finally, a temporal comparison with the global performances was developed, where the behaviors and gaps of each SCOR process and of each competitive dimension were discussed. The final results provided the structuring of a conceptual model of performance measurement, which applied in an automotive supply chain pointed the following results: in the second semester of 2014 the performance of the chain was 65.49%, with a gap of 35.41 pp., During this period, the best performances were verified in the process planning and in the competitive dimension quality; the first semester of 2015 chain performance was 68.79%, with a gap of 31.21 pp., wh the best performances were verified in the process planning and at the competitive dimension cost; in the second semester of 2015 chain performance was 73.37% with a gap of 23.63 pp., and the best performances were verified in the planning process planning and the competitive dimension cost.

Full textSupply chain performance prediction systems are composed by indicators that aim to estimate the performance of a focal company considering also indicators related to their suppliers. There are two quantitative models in the literature (GANGA; CARPINETTI, 2011; AGAMI; SALEH; RASMY, 2014) that enable to predict the supply chain performance using the indicators proposed by the SCOR® model (Supply Chain Operations Reference). Nevertheless, there is a drawback of both models that refers to the difficulty in adapting to the environment of use, since implementation and updating of these models require parameterization of many decision rules that must be done by an expert. The application of artificial neural networks as well as neuro-fuzzy systems can overcome this drawback by using a learning mechanism that enables the adaptation to the environment of use using numerical data on supply chain performance. However, there are neither studies in the literature that propose the use of these techniques in order to support supply chain performance prediction nor studies that discuss which of these techniques seem to be more appropriate to deal with this problem. Thus, the objective of this study is to propose and evaluate the adequability of the two types of performance prediction systems based on the performance indicators of the SCOR® model, and both using alternatively artificial neural networks and neuro-fuzzy systems to support performance management of a focal company and their supply chain. The implementation of this research involved the use of computer simulation and statistical tests. The results show that although both techniques present a satisfactory predictive capacity, neural networks are more appropriate in relation to the complexity of defining the topological configuration, whereas the neuro-fuzzy systems are more adequate regarding the predictive capacity, complexity of the training, amount of input variables, support to decision-making under uncertainty and interpretability of data. Other results of this research refer to the identification of characteristics of the modeling process of the evaluated techniques, as well as to the review on the use of quantitative techniques for supply chain performance evaluation and to the identification of some research opportunities.

Full textThe fundamental purpose of this project is to propose a logistics process based on a SCOR model using process management tools to increase the productivity of Mango MSEs in the province of Casma. Therefore, a sample was delimited based on mango farmers to conduct in-depth interviews and obtain relevant information for the study. The information obtained served to determine the current problems in this sector. The results showed the deficiencies in the Mango MSEs in Casma, such as the deficiency in planning, quality, control of resources, production process and support process throughout the supply chain; furthermore, they do not keep records or adequate documentation . As part of the proposal, the results were related to the logistics process using the SCOR methodology to establish the basic processes in logistics; and the process management tool for the corresponding characterization. Three critical sub-processes associated with logistics management were evidenced, of which the development of this thesis was emphasized: Procurement, Storage and Distribution.

Full textThis dissertation presents a new automated tool to evaluate the processes of Supply Chain Management (SCM) based on the SCOR reference model, one of the most used models in the industry, according to the literature, but that still presents significant challenges for its adoption, notably in regards of its complexity and cost. To address these aspects, this work specified the functional requirements and a database with the whole SCORE structure, and implemented a prototype of the tool called Supply Performer, innovative because it helps SCOR deployment without the need of deep knowledge about the model, neither the hiring of a specialized consulting. To validate its applicability and generalization, the tool was used on a real case scenario and a 25 percent gain was observed in the diagnosis task of the clients and supplier registration process of a large multinational company. The tool also allowed the creation of a plan of action, and based on the identified gaps, to follow up the process improvement evolution. Its use enabled a quick delivery of results to the client, in a structured and organized way, turning SCORE into a more accessible model. On the basis of the promising results, the patent for the Supply Performer tool was registered on the INPI (Instituto Nacional da Propriedade Industrial) BR 51 2018 000240-4.

The objective of this dissertation is to present a new measure of core inflation to brazilian inflation in order to verify the current trend of prices. Initially two core inflation are proposed. The first one is calculated from traditional methods found in the literature with some changes proposed in order to achieve some desirable core inflation characteristics. The second method of estimation is Dynamic Conditional Score Models (DCS), where inflation is decomposed into unobservables components and the core is defined as the trend component. A comparison is made between the proposed cores measures and that ones currently available in Brazil. The conclusion is that the core inflation disclosed today do not contribute to the understanding of the inflation trend. The two proposed core inflation measures are better suited for this purpose. The core by DCS model is further indicated because its estimation is not affected by lagged information as it happens for the first core measure. In addition, some economic analyzes suggest that the use of the core by DCS model can help the Central Bank in the conduct of monetary policy, since this shows indicative of the future development of the accumulated inflation in the year (measure used to verify the inflation target in Brazil). The two proposed methodologies can easily be recalculated, since implementation codes are freely available to any interested user, and it can also be replicated to other inflation indicators.

The importance of the groundwater as one of the main sources of drinking water supply justifies the concern about the preservation of the aquifers and the search of alternatives for minimization of impacts caused by enterprises potentially pollutant. The contaminated areas management is compound by a logical sequence of procedures and decisions to be made, from the suspicion of the contamination to the definition of human health risk management strategies. A correct assessment of this risk permits to define the adequate remediation project in function of risk acceptable levels in the study area. The customization of a contaminant transport and fate computational model in the groundwater to an area potentially contaminated, before the contamination event, can have great contribution to accelerate the decisory and mitigatory process, if the environmental impact happens. SCBR ("Solução CorretivaBaseada no Risco") is a two-dimensional computational model to simulate transport and fate of contaminants; do risk assessment for the exposure pathways in soil, water and air; and simulate remediation technologies. The objective of this work was to apply SCBR model to an area potentially contaminated, executing the phases of model customization, elaboration of possible risk sceneries, human health risk assessment and emergency strategies. The case study was realized on the Petroleum Terminal of São Sebastião and the methodology was based on the Contaminated Areas Management Manual of State Environmental Company of São Paulo. The main results obtained were: the customization of SCBR to the area;the calibration of the groundwater flow parameters by the fit of the hydraulic conductivity of each monitoring well; the groundwater flow model of the area with the velocity and direction field; the identification of a dangerous site in a possiblecontamination scenery, because the site is approximately 170m away from the residential area and its velocities are approximately 21m/year; the knowledge of the contaminant behavior for this contamination scenery; the risk area mapping for this scenery; verification of unacceptable risk both in industrial and residential areas;risk reduction to acceptable levels by the proposed emergency intervention. To do thesteps of managementmeans to have toaccomplish tasks that the customization would advance preventively before a contamination. Therefore, the following advantages were observed on the conclusion of this study: possibility of gain of time and efficiency in the minimization of impacts, facilitating the discussion with the environmental regulatory agency.

Full textPurpose – The purpose of this thesis is to develop an understanding on how a crucial process can be identified and how to make it more efficient in order to increase delivery reliability to customer using the SCOR-model. To fulfil the purpose it has been broken down into three parts:Part 1: To map the current order flow with material flow and information flowPart 2: To evaluate the order flow using the SCOR-model and identify a crucial process in order to increase delivery reliability to customerPart 3: To analyze the crucial process using the SCOR-model and identify areas of improvement in order to increase delivery reliability to customerMethod – In order to meet the purpose of thesis, a case study has been conducted on Expedit AB. Literature studies were performed to create a theoretical framework. To gather empirical data, interviews, document studies and observations was conducted. To analyze the empirical findings pattern matching was used and also analyze tools such as flow mapping and cause-and-effect-diagram. The supply chain operations reference model calculations methods were used to make calculations.Findings – The first part of the purpose was accomplished through interviews, observations and was illustrated in a flow map. As a result of the evaluation of the order flow the purchasing process was identified as the crucial process. This conclusion was made since 55% of the deviations was related to the purchasing process. Five areas of improvement were identified within the crucial process was lack of communication, variations, lack of standards, incorrect order registration and external deviations. In order to handle problems related to lack of communication, variations, incorrect order registration and external deviations the SCOR-models purchasing practices were used. In order to handle problems related to lack of standards additional theories where used and by doing so the purpose could be fulfilled.Implications – This study has shown how a crucial process in an order flow can be identified and how to make it more efficient in order to increase delivery reliability to customer. The study has contributed to strengthening existing theories.Limitations – This case study only consist one case instead of several which would have increased the generalizability of the study. A majority of the conducted interviews are mostly based on supplementaries, this lower the reliability of the study since these questions are based on the respondents answers.

Full textPredictive models have been increasingly used by the market in order to assist companies in risk mitigation, portfolio growth, customer retention, fraud prevention, among others. During the model development, however, it is usual to have, among the predictive variables, some who have data not filled in (missing values), thus it is necessary to adopt a procedure to treat these variables. Given this scenario, the aim of this study is to discuss frameworks to deal with missing data in predictive models, encouraging the use of some already known by academia that are still not used by the market. This paper describes seven methods, which were submitted to an empirical application using a Credit Score data set. Each framework described resulted in a predictive model developed and the results were evaluated and compared through a series of widely used performance metrics (KS, Gini, ROC curve, Approval curve). In this application, the frameworks that presented better performance were the ones that treated missing data as a separate category (technique already used by the market) and the framework which consists of grouping the missing data in the category most similar conceptually. The worst performance framework otherwise was the one that simply ignored the variable containing missing values, another procedure commonly used by the market.

Building a software for particular domains must attend specific standards that impose attendance to factors such as traceability requirements and the certification issue. For example, the airline industry should meet the DO-178B standard that establishes restrictions on the use of aircraft software, which is considered a critical system. For a system to be in accordance with this certification, one must have formal requirements and certified code. In this direction, Andrade (ANDRADE, 2013) used SCR (Software Cost Reduction) for requirements definition and SCADE for modeling critical systems with development of an artifacts a translator from SCR. However the practice of developing is not restricted to the transition from requirements to design artifacts. Changes made on design should be reflected in the requirements. In this work we developed a translator from SCADE to SCR. In this way we can generate requirements specification from the code (reverse engineering) and complement the previous Andrade (ANDRADE, 2013) thesis. For the translator development, we use the Spoofax platform through which we describe the XML schema syntax used in SCADE and also the translation rules having SCR as the target language. The translation validation had as its starting point the result of the translator developed by Andrade (ANDRADE, 2013), where the output is the same input developed by Andrade(ANDRADE, 2013). Furthermore, examples developed to demonstrate that the structural modification that preserves semantics in SCADE, is verifiable through the use of tests generated by the TTM-TVEC tool.

To collect and analyze the longitudinal data is a very important approach to understand the phenomenon of development in the real world. Ideally, researchers who are interested in using a longitudinal framework would prefer collecting data at more than two points in time because it can provide a deeper understanding of the developmental processes. However, in real scenarios, data may only be collected at two-time points. With only two-wave data, the second-order latent growth model (SOLGM) could not be used. The current dissertation compared the performance of two-wave models (longitudinal common factor model and latent change score model) with the three-wave SOLGM in order to better understand how the estimation quality of two-wave models could be comparable to the tree-wave model. The results show that on average, the estimation from two-wave models is identical to the ones from the three-wave model. So in real data analysis with only one sample, the point estimate by two-wave models should be very closed to that of the three-wave model. But this estimation may not be as accurate as it is obtained by the three-wave model when the latent variable has large variability in the first or last time point. This latent variable is more likely to exist as a statelike construct in the real world. Therefore, the current study could provide a reference framework for substantial researchers who could only have access to two-wave data but are still interested in estimating the growth effect that supposed to obtain by three-wave SOLGM.
