Abstract:
An important source of competitive advantage for logistic functions is to include the processes brought using the Industry 4.0 approach in their business models. The main problem is how to measure the logistics 4.0 levels of enterprises. Therefore, this study aims to develop a model for measuring the degree of logistics 4.0 (DoL_4.0) in SMEs. This measurement model is based on the usage scores of logistics 4.0 technologies used in businesses, usage scores in logistic activities, and the number of technologies used. Second, the relationship between DoL_4.0 and firm performance was examined.

Abstract:
Increased competition and low oil prices coupled with promising prospects for new oil and gas (O&G) reserves in the Arctic region has led to expansion of activities into the offshore Arctic. This brings along new challenges for the offshore logistics that need to be addressed. These challenges impose more stringent requirements for the logistics system setup, especially on the design and operation of vessels. Copying the logistics system and vessels designed for the North Sea operations is not a sustainable way forward. The few existing studies related to Arctic logistics mainly focus on s

The current market situation indicates an intensive increase in services offered by the logistics sector. To fulfill the growing demand, the logistics sector in the department of distribution of goods has several challenges, such as increasing fleet, increased mileage, difficulty in achieving an environmentally-friendly distribution chain. Each of these challenges requires organizational and managerial interventions in the process of functioning of the logistics sector. Given the needs of the market, environmental restrictions at the global level, the global issue of conventional fuels, resear

The paper analyzes various inventory management systems used in large foreign firms, based on integrated planning in matters of movement of information and material resources. Logistic systems are characterized by the presence of complex random relationships within these systems, which requires not only the distribution of logistics functions among all participants in the supply chain, but also the integration of individual links in the supply chain into a single system enabling to optimally solve the problems of material and information support at all levels of manufacturing processes and to

Abstract:
Many engineers use analysis tools to predict behavior or find optimal values for properties of systems built to proposed designs, informing system design work by identifying cases where a design will perform incorrectly or in suboptimal ways. Design and analysis tools encode descriptions of systems in a variety of ways that are typically inconsistent, significantly reducing the overall engineering processes due to the additional effort resolving these problems. Systems engineering addresses this by establishing a single source for system descriptions, typically expressed in the Systems Modelin
