Chiapello, Ève. "Les modes de contrôle des organisations artistiques." Paris 9, 1994. https://portail.bu.dauphine.fr/fileviewer/index.php?doc=1994PA090026.
Full textA control mode reduces degrees of freedom left to people in order to make an order, necessary to any project accomplishment, emerge; when artists want to have total freedom and are really reluctant to any idea of control. The dissertation thesis addresses the question of this apparent conflict between art and control, and tries to find its origins. Then we show that some control modes are particularly adapted to the most innovative artistic work: self-control, what we call "control by gift" which is very near coaching, an organic structure an dome specific shared values. We also show that arts organizations are not all controlled by the same means. It depends on the characteristics of their productions
Rochais, Véronique. "Les souffrances sociales à la Martinique et leurs modes de gestion." Paris, EHESS, 2011. http://www.theses.fr/2011EHES0479.
Full textIn Martinique, french overseas department established on an unegalitarian socio-racial organization inherited from the slave colonial system, the tensions and the disparities between the social environments weigh still heavily. On one hand, the social and economic domination of the ancient colonists, the békés, continues in the time and, on the other hand, the slave past not assumed by a part of the inhabitant of Martinique, descendants of African slaves, still generates frustrations, suffering and a need of gratitude. With this historic suffering another suffering known as social is imbricated, because of the socioeconomic context in which the social inequalities and the distance between the classes do not cease growing hollow. Leaving of this report, on one hand, this thesis suggests analyzing from the thnography of a popular district of Fort-de-France, the dialectic between the social suffreings and the modes of management of the misfortunes, which cross the life of certain inhabitants of Martinique among the most dominated. On the other hand, we lead a reflection on the collective management of the suffering following an air crash, which caused the death of 152 inhabitants of Martinique. This one underline the importance of the attempt of identical reconstrcution during an exceptional position coming to perturb violently the established order

Full textThe fiscal system and secondarily the accounting one differ according to the choice made by a public service of direct or delegate managing. All taxation systems are disparate. As far as value added tax (vat) is concerned, local communities and their groups are subject to three different tax systems : exemption from vat, common law and one with options. Except for town and commune communities, the right to tax allowance only applies to equipment expenses on the basis of a lump compensation rate with a two-year postponement. Except for the granting of road and motorway traffic works, the common law system is applied to private delegatees. If public services are fully subject to local direct tax, public operators are exempt for some of their activities. Already exempt from vat and corporation tax, they will be exempt from employment tax and tax paid by businesses to fund training programmes. The public interest group is liable as are partnerships. However, the public interest group may choose the common law system which applies to private administors as well as to public ones. The change in the legal form of public operators is fiscally neutral. They are fully liable. As for accountancy, concessionaries and local communities enjoy a really derogatory system and, all the same, most profitable. It is obvious, considering all these fiscal and accounting disparities, that it is preferable to turn to direct managing for a non-profit-making activity. Generating subsequent tax revenue, private delegate operators will be favoured for a lucrative operation

Diné, Sébastien. "Gestion des conflits interpersonnels dans les organisations : dynamique interactionnelle et modes de résolution." Aix-Marseille 3, 2007. http://www.theses.fr/2007AIX32068.
Full textThis research concerns the conflicts between people in their workplace. We focused on situations where individuals acting for themselves, whether at same or different levels. Managers spend much of their time managing this kind of situation, however, these conflicts are rarely apprehended as the books suggest. This could be linked to the fact that theoretical works provide a few “tactics” applicable and that the manuals are suggested only for specific contexts. This doctoral research develops a matrix decoding conflict situations to enable the practitioner to simplify conflict situation interpretations between people. The goal is to maximize the efficiency of managing relationships designated as conflictual. We have based ourselves on the works of Bateson, Jackson and Watzlawick regarding family therapy. Through the method of cases, we propose ten conflict situations that allow us to illustrate and support an interpretation grid of interactional conflict dynamics. This research provides multiple inputs. A definition of the non-standard and pragmatic conflict is proposed. A systemic conception of the relationships may surpass the scapegoat nomination in the conflict to reflect the need for a broader delineation of the actors involved in this type of phenomenon. Implications related to the team management are released. Finally, we question the positionning of the speaker’s subjectivity (or investigator) to enlighten the performance of organizational actors relations system

Full textIndependent administration added to devolution allowed growth of innovating operations that irritate the orthodox of market overt. To authorize creativity shows without breeding corruption, such are the news challenges of tursteeship. Evry "exotic" deal is not inevitably more efficient. But to give up innovating in administration on account of presumed risks and costs should be quite as suicidal as to get rid of research and development. The author draws the shapes of possible advancement of market overt code that valuation should clear. Health public service organization in network calls new rules of public accountancy. To break new ground is not always compatible with public law rules orthodoxy. The writer suggests ways of answers to leave this paradox. An experimentation visa for a limited length of time, specific to each experimentation matched necessarly to a valuation frame the keystone. Expansion of experimental method to administration sciences thanks to valuation should turn observation-deduction into experimentation-deduction

Present the structures and aims of an organization at a time of significant social and institutional change; show the key issues in terms of piloting a school in particular analyzing the new problems raised by the institutional control of the former: these are the key points of our analysis. Describe the current institutional framework, based on performance measures and comparisons between national objectives and the actual results of the schools which leads us to question the fundamentals of the management of local secondary schools Detail the key aspects of the new forms of management based on a wish for greater control in order to investigate the implementation of management through trust in local Secondary school. Call into question local secondary schools as an organization for management and the tension between skills and performance as a method for evaluating the manager, not forgetting the ethical aspects of the latter
Sibille, Romain. "Modes de gestion des offreurs et déterminants de l'offre dans le secteur des EHPAD." Thesis, Paris 9, 2015. http://www.theses.fr/2015PA090018.
Full textIn France, 75% of the establishments specialized in the care for dependant people are EHPADs. These structures were created with the aim to rationalize the offer in this sector, but remain economically inefficient. Throughout this thesis we attempt to identify how the nursing homes’ directors could be used as a lever to improve performances. We assumed that, facing similar constraints, directors adopt alternative strategies because they have different preferences, correlated with their professional characteristics. We carried out an exploratory survey that shows the directors make different management choices. The data of an original survey among a sample of EHPAD managers matched to the EHPA database was then mobilized. We identified four types of managers: the “nurses”, the “moderns”, the “bureaucrats” and the “conformists”. Finally, we focused on three management options concerning the nurses’ timetables, the bonus policy and the training policy. In all three cases, the choices are determined by the managers’ characteristics. These results open up new perspectives for public authorities to improve the efficiency of EHPADs

Full textPublic managers could seek in ICT possibilities to generate new practices of citizenship or to make the existing practices more effective, in order to increase the involvement of the citizens in the decision-making process and to improve the services rendered by public organization. Indeed, jointly with the disavowal of the traditional processes, some authors see in the progress of the means of telecommunication new perspectives for an electronic citizenship through deliberative surveys and e-voting. The first aims of this thesis is to clarify and create a model of four types of interactions between citizens and local elected, integrating the impact of the ICTs : e-administration, e-government, e-governance and the Learning City. The second aim of this thesis is to clarify the behaviour of citizens towards e-voting by studying their representation systems, witch can be considered to be considered to be explanatory factors for individual behaviour. We conducted a study on a June 2002 e-voting experiment in the town of Vandoeuvre, one of the most advanced French towns in terms of e-democracy. Based upon the results, we built three cognitive maps representing the following tendencies : interest in the practical aspects of e-voting, pessimism, towards e-voting, and generally critical of the political system. The analysis of these three maps shows that the values of Tradition, Power, Security, Conformity and Auto-orientation led to resistance to vote electronically. On the other hand, the values of Hedonism, Simulation and Altruism led to acceptance of e-voting in France in such a way that respects diverse citizen values and encourages broad participation

Full textThis study deals with psychological aging in later life. The problem is how elderly people cope with the losses which progressively appear in their life. We hypothesize that cumulative and interdependent privations happening in later life can induce a pathological process. This process should be marked as soon as possible in order to prevent elderly from incapacity or loss of autonomy. In this point of view, it's important to characterize how elderly people cope with later life agressions. We used a specific questionnaire in order to identify different profiles of atitude. Our population was composed with elderly people living in nursing homes. These profiles associate experience of change, experience of time and ways of coping. We tried to make links between coping studies, psychoanalysis and psycho-gerontology frameworks. We found four profiles, three were clearly interpretable and one seemed to be intermediate. Interpretation consists in linking profiles with psychoanalysis trends : denial, regressive withdrawal and elaboration

Full textThe environmental changes of the last thirties years imply more dynamism and flexibility, has led to an evolution of the notion of internal mobility. The literature as well the discourse from the companies express that the new forms and issues are mutually profitable to the companies and actors. This thesis questions this postulate, through the case of engineering, in which this new requirements of flexibility pose some specific problems, linked to the contextual and structural characteristics of this sector. It brings some interrogations about the kind of mobility system tenable in the engineering environment. This research takes place in the engineering department of a French automotivemanufacturer and questions the will of the company to deploy a new internal mobility policy. First, the thesis examines and discusses the intent of evolution. Then, it notices four main evolutions linked to internal mobility policy, which are the introduction of new forms of mobility, new actors and process. It questions the coherence between theses evolutions and the expectations of individuals in terms of career development, and then, examines the pertinence and feasibility of this evolution from the point of view of the context and activity specificities. Finally, the thesis proposes a management tool to support of mobility process by the managers
Gardet, Élodie. "Les modes de coordination au sein de réseaux d'innovation." Chambéry, 2008. http://www.theses.fr/2008CHAML041.
Full textTopic of interest : Modes of coordination, by reducing uncertainty and opportunistic behaviour, are essential in innovation networks. Indeed, these organizationals forms are particularly conducive to the exchange of information and transfer of know-how, which promotes opportunistic behaviour. In addition, the often tacit knowledge and the low level of predictability of results generate a high uncertainty. Thesis defended : Modes of coordination within a network of innovation vary according to a set of variables (the stage) and they influence the advancement of the project. Method : Seven innovation networks have been studied over a period of 12 to 15 months. 57 interviews were conducted and a large amount of secondary data was collected (internal partnership contracts, minutes of meetings, email /externs : website and news articles). To deal with these data, we conducted a manual thematic coding. Main results : Our empirical research shows that the coordination methods (trust, level of formality, distribution of results, safeguards against opportunistic behaviour and conflict resolution) vary according to three key variables : (1) the degree of dependence of the hub firm on the members of its network, (2) the existence of previous relations between the hub firm and the other companies and (3) the type of conflict if any exists. Contrary to the initial assumption that the phases of advancement directly affect the choice of a coordination mechanism, the results show that the coordination mechanisms change according to the resource needs of the hub firm that affect its degree of dependence on the others

Full textIn this doctoral research, we analysed the works of both orientations which tried to find an alternative to the weakening of the predominant model of control. It is twenty years since the first orientation has tried to develop a "new" model of control. The second one aims at identifying the conditions of smooth running of particular types of control. We enlarged our analysis then to locate our research in its organizational frame and its environmental context. We tried through two successive studies to answer the following question of research: What modes of driving the performance of firms, for which environments? And is there difference of tools and purpose between a traditional control and a control qualified as more modern? The first study leant on a qualitative step and allowed us to offer a new typology of driving performance systems through a dynamic and historical analysis. It also led to identify a managerial problem: the weak use of control systems in some firms in difficulty. The second study rests on a quantitative methodology. Il allowed to cast light, sometimes new lights, concerning the purposes of tools included in the modern plans of control and especially the Balanced Scorecard

Full textThe present study focuse on management control system of cameroonian's small and medium-sized firms. Generally considered as the process of resource allocation, management control system is at the center of the business transaction. There are many forms of management control system (MCS) : bureaucratic control, ritual control, results controls, action controls, behavior controls. The management control process vary from compagny to compagny. A part of the control process is the measurement of performance using financial of non financial indicators. The rate of returns on investment (ROI) appear to be the most popular measures used in practice. The methods of MCS are different from firm to firm. The difference found can by explained by the size, the legal status, the employee moral and job satisfaction

Full textIn this thesis, we are interesting to analyse the value of leadtime information sharing in the distribution centres. We proposed a resolution framework and then we developed a first simulation model which leans on this proposed framework. This simulation model allowed us to realize a first numerical analysis on a depot structure. During this research, we studied also a warehouse with several retailers. For this problem, we formulated, at first, an inventory model with stochastic leadtime. By applying successively two inventory policies, we distinguished two basic models: a first model for information sharing situation and the second for no information sharing situation. We programmed and solved both models by LINGO. The results of these two theoretical studies show: - In every studied situation, leadtime information sharing has important benefits; - Important relations exist between the value of information sharing and some of other parameters, such as: the mode of cooperation, the context of market, the behaviour of clients, the unit cost of shortage, the structure of network and the characteristics of leadtime; - The behaviour of clients goes out as being the most important factor in terms of the sensibility and also on the effect of the other parameters on the value of leadtime information sharing; At the end, to validate the results of these theoretical studies, we modelled and studied the leadtime information sharing in a downstream pharmaceutical supply chain

Full textThe aim of this study is to point out that while addressing the issue of household waste management’s it is also possible to analyze the never-ending process of identity reconstruction. In other words, domestic household wastes are used as a tool which allows us to tackle other issues such as social relations, modes of appropriation of urban space, as well as forms of social exclusion (distinction, organization into a hierarchy and stigmatization) which reflect/reveal modalities of identity reconstruction. We are thus constantly inclined to draw up value judgments when it comes to dealing with waste, especially when categories like the “dirty” and the “clean” are brought into play; in the attempt to go beyond these classifications, one can highlight the way the main players in urban life deal with identities assigned to them, claimed or denied by them. We have therefore found it necessary to focus first on the stakeholders of city life, namly on those who are most concerned about the production and management of household waste in the city of Ouagadougou: municipalities//local authorities, households, private investors, associations

Full textAmong the problems related to production systems exploitation, the difficulty lies in handling their modes while guaranteeing their compatibility and their coherence. Thus, mode handling requires to provide a modelling method which is able to represent the entities of the system, their operating modes and the constraints between them. To this aim, it is important to provide modelling tools, powerful specification formalisms as well as formal verification tools. Our research work contributes to mode handling specification and formal V&V within a control system of a flexible manufacturing system (FMS). The integration requirements in the control system are taken into account early in the design process. In the proposed modelling method, the functional model represents the flexibilities of the FMS. The used concepts are generic and based on the reuse principle concept. Specifications of the behaviour of the entities of this model are specified using safe state machines (SSM). This synchronous graphical model allows carrying out formal verification in order to insure determinism and safety properties. A framework for formal V&V of a SSM specification is proposed. When carrying out V&V of the proposed model, the required properties are related on one hand to reactive control systems and on the other hand to Fms mode handling function. Both generic and specific properties of the modelled system are formalised within this framework. The specification tools and formal analysis of SSM integrated into esterel studio tool are used during this design process. The study is illustrated through an example of a flexible manufacturing cell

Full textThis thesis deals with the development of novel strategies to adapt higher order sliding mode controllers and observers. The implementation of classics first order and higher order sliding mode controllers requires the knowledge of the upper bound of the disturbance or its derivative, which are often not known. The first contribution of this thesis is the design of an adaptive strategy that can ensure the convergence of the sliding variable to a predefined neighborhood of zero without requiring any information of the disturbance or its derivative and without overestimating the adaptive gain. This adaptive strategy is then declined for the design of the first order, second order and integral sliding mode controllers, and for the Levant's differentiator. The second contribution of the thesis is the development of two adaptive strategies for discontinuous higher order sliding mode control. The proposed two algorithms can provide the achievement of n-order sliding mode despite disturbances with unknown upper bounds or with unknown upper bounds of their derivatives. Finally, in order to show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms, they are successfully applied through simulations to control the wind energy conversion system and the linear induction motor system for cogeneration

After a period of self-reinforcing adoption, they suddenly lose their attractiveness: the rate of adoption slows down, some early advocates even reject them and the attention switches to other more popular ideas. Full textThis work deals with the theme of the organizational learning. We propose to define organizational learning as an elaborational process of interaction rules, in an organizational situation, inducing individual learnings. This vision, based notably upon piaget work, seems rich to us as regards to its potential implementation in entreprises, especially because it links three levels of analysis : the activity type, the coordination rules and the knowledge dynamics. By further investigating this vision, through banking case studies, we have associated different kinds of risk management tools to different learning process logics (centralized or decentralized) : the choice of an instrumentational logic depends on the nature of the activity. From this study, emerged the concept of a learning tool (illustrated here by an aiding reasoning tool). This tool is fundamentally oriented towards the production of a decentralized learning process : to this reasoning support system, correspond staictural ownerships and specific uses. Similarly, the organization should take into account these aims of learning, especially through the definition of missions, collective work procedures and mechanisms of instigation. Carrying out this pattern of rationalization requires a network of "procedure" actors supporting the function of learning vectors. Finally, this pattern of rationalization (based upon a reasoning support tool) has been compared to other rationalizational approachs which aim the promotion of learning dynamics

Full textIn order to cope with the risks that threaten the French territory, the local level is the first level of crisis response. But it is also the weak link in the civil security organization. The organization of crisis response among municipalities is uneven and lacks operational capability. Given the lack of municipal resources and expertise in this area, intermunicipal organizations have come to play a supporting role, yet little studied today. Our thesis then explores the collective progression of the whole inter-municipality in the preparation of the response to the crisis (the inter-municipal structure and all the municipalities). How to overcome a well-established planning logic in organizational processes? How to harmonize the level of preparedness within a very diverse group of municipalities? Our thesis suggests an answer through the joint logic of anticipation and resilience, thanks to the contribution High Reliability Organizations theories (HRO). Thanks to the managerial work of the inter-municipal risk-manager, the municipal emergency preparedness plan becomes the central element of a collective strategy to increase reliability. This strategy is based both on an organizational dimension, on a cognitive dimension and on a political dimension. In return, our thesis offers HRO theories an opportunity to think reliability as a manageable progression, an opportunity to think reliability in an inter-organizational context, and proposes to enrich the analysis by including a political dimension

Full textThis work deals with operating mode management applied to Discrete Event Systems (DES). Our contribution is based on the Supervisory Theory Control (STC). We aim at extending the SCT by introducing mechanism for studding the different operating modes of the system to be controlled. Besides, we wish to handle models of reasonable size. Our approach is multi-model, involves representing a complex system by a set of simple models, each of which describes the system in a given operating mode. A global monitoring mechanism ensures the correct switching between modes. Then, we show that the mode supervisor is unique. Thus, a unique specification model can be associated to each plant model. Specification models are also subject to switch, according to changes occurring in the plant model dynamics, and the control actions to be taken. The last chapter illustrates our approach on an example

Full textThe purposes of this research work is to analyze the impact of the most common measures that are generally adopted by French junior secondary schools in order to address the issue of the heterogeneity of pupils attending them. That impact is estimated both in terms of pupils achievement and in terms of their schooling careers. The first part deals with the problem of pupils heterogeneity and the state of knowledge in this fiels. The second part presents the results of an empirical study undertaken to document and support this approach. The third part describes how the schools belonging to the sample adree the heterogeneity issue: what are the mecanisms that enable some students to benefit from school support schemes? What is the impact of the "cycle amenage" (the first two years of junior secondary curriculum is taught in three years) of repetition, of special school support? The fourth part analyses the pedagogical efficiency and equity of junior secondary schools. To conclude a special attention is paid to the school atmosphere and its tentative influence on school performances

Full textThis research deals with inter-organization control modes and with the identification of explanatory variables within a specific field : supply chain managemant. The conceptual model is built on the transaction cost theory and the ressource-based view. It is tested empirically on the Eurocopter group, using a quantitative monography of this aeronautics firm. Five inter-organizational control modes are then identified through a cluster analysis ; they range from social control to formal control. Dimensions of transactions, trust and types of intégration appear to be explanatory variables of these control modes

Full textIn almost all the African countries the pace of deforestation is explained by the mismanagement of the ecosystem once based on maintaining a natural balance between the biological and anthropogenic sphere. This failure reflects the unsuitability of exogenous laws in the local context on the one hand, and the non-inclusion of the Traditional Knowledge Premises and the local socioeconomic environment on the other hand. Several empirical studies have shown how indigenous people - through the Local Traditional Organization- managed to ensure optimal management of common resources and maintain consistent performance over time. Thus, it is in this context that the power of autochthonies has been recognized and acclaimed in different international discourses and strategies relating to the conservation of biodiversity and the maintenance of forest areas. In order to justify our hypothesis, we have carried out an empirical study in the Moroccan High Atlas. The Jemaa as the main Local Traditional Organization is studied which allows us to illustrate how local social structures ensure efficient management of forest resources held in common

Full textBiodiversity conservation no longer only concerns protected areas. It is also a matter of ecological network. Ecological corridors between habitats participate in the circulation of animal and plant populations. This new perspective extends the scope of conservation to ordinary nature and areas where ecological processes and human activities are strongly intertwined, such as agricultural areas. This study focuses on the implementation of integrated biodiversity conservation in agricultural areas through landscape management for ecological network. We study the modes of governance, representations and practices on several scales, mixing qualitative and quantitative analyses. At the national and regional scales, changes in social representations of the relationship between agriculture and biodiversity are examined with a content analysis of French media. At the regional and local scale, we compare, in three case studies, the modes of governance of a contractual tool of the French ecological network policy: the Green and Blue infrastructure ("Trame verte et bleue"). For this purpose, we use semi-structured interviews and participant observations. At farm scale, we identify with semi-structured interviews, the ways in which biodiversity can be included as a factor in decision–making practices, and we investigate the farmers’ representations of biodiversity and landscape elements. We show the importance of taking into account the diversity of conceptions and representations of landscape by farmers and all stakeholders for successful integrated biodiversity conservation. In the design and implementation of ecological network policies, the predominant conception of landscape is ecological and therefore has difficulty in including the agricultural issues and farmers’ views. Finally, we discuss the theoretical, methodological and practical implications of our results in conservation geography

Full textThis research explores the theme of contemporary urbanization, specially the articulation of policies related to urban planning and management with those dealing with housing for disadvantaged populations. This is a study and reflection on the influence of the evolution of knowledge, discourse and management methods on urban policies applied to the development process and to meet the housing needs of people and equipment urban poor credit.Housing is the main component of the urban substance, and it is in the housing policies and forms of habitat that urban inequalities emerge and turn out to be more pronounced in the South and the North hemisphere, in Brasilia or in Paris. The treatment of housing and urban integration of low income groups and remains the largest apparent and publicized pitfalls of all urban policies. The thesis traces a retrospective of housing policies and urban management the past 50 years in Brasilia and Paris in response to precarious housing. The creation of policies and programs of mass housing have contributed to the construction of the "peripheries" of these two cities. However, these peripheral areas are now considered disadvantaged neighbourhoods compared to the central areas of both cities.Through half a century of housing policy and urban management analyses how the two cities may consider another form of housing policy and the city with another generation of urban instruments productive equality and more inclusive?

Full textThe growth of intangible investments, in particular brands, constitutes the starting point of this research. The aim of this thesis is to answer the following question : to what extent the increasing importance of brands has repercussions on the management of a company ?The following framework was set up after a detailed review of the literature. This framework positions the brand as the central point of a value exchange model between a company and three main stakeholders : the consumers, the distributors and the shareholders. An exploratory study realised with experts in brand valuation was complemented by an analysis of seven case study corresponding to various brands of the studied company. In the light of these various cases, a typology of a brand’s management is established : a logistic control, a marketing control and a financial control. Finally, the results of this study reveal a new vision of the company, which performance becomes managed through its brands

Full textSince a few years, project organizing, traditionally specific of some activities, gains most of the economic sectors. The post-bureaucratic structures a priori allow a larger flexibility, more transversality, and softening control modes, in order to release individuals’ initiative. This study aims precisely to identify control systems used to manage project managers. An abductive method, leaning against an interpretativist approach, reveals that these control modes are not only at least as powerful as in bureaucratic organization, but also more acute and more sophisticated. The method is given rhythm by two series of semi-directive interviews close to industrial product development project managers. Mobilizing a foucaldian theoretical approach, this research shows that these managers are figuring in the centre of a “ Dispositif ” of various and original modalities of control. The “Conduct of one’s self”, for which managers’ professionalization process constitutes a concrete form, helps us to understand how managers succeed in existing, resisting, among multiple tensions. Anchored in a critical perspective, three contributions are emerging from this study: -On a theoretical level: the foucaldian approach suggests a new interpretative framework in management theory, -On an epistemological one: a critical approach incites to think about methodological choices. -Finally, on a managerial level, the question of the adaptation of the HRM with project actors’ management is clearly settled

Full textThis thesis aims at exploring the characters of social thinking in crisis situations. More precisely, we are interested in the relationships of mobilizing object with personal implication, the proximity to the event and modes of reasoning. On the two first studies of the thesis, we could observe that the simple presence of mobilizing and affective label ("tsunami") in a text reinforces the importance given to the object as well as the will of aiding the victims of destruction. On a third study we investigate the effect of time proximity to a crisis object on the evaluation of that object. Result show that close participants who are close (in the time sense to the object have extreme and consensual opinions. That would illustrate the fact that the polarization linked to mobilizations could be ephemeral and closely linked to the context. On a fourth study we were interested in the reasoning capacities of subjects with an extreme opinion on a crisis situation. Results show that in a comparison to "neutral" subjects, the ones with extreme positioning are incapable of fighting against the contradiction through reasoning, and that they prioritize the use of rejection. The results of those studies make us think that mobilizing objects are very particular, constituting perhaps a representational state, in which the affective dimension is maximized to the detriment of the cognitive dimension

Full textThis research is a multi-parametric and multi-scale comparison of municipal solid waste pretreatment in order to accelerate waste degradation in landfill conditions. This work is part of two research projects (ELIA and BIOPTIME) in which 21 types of treatment were tested at 68 L and 23m3 scale. In a first time, this research aims at developed a leaching test protocol adapted to the waste matrix and to highlight differences between pretreatments. The protocol established combines liquid phases, gaseous and solid analysis during a period of 120 hours without renewal. The organic compounds mobilized in liquid phase are relevant indicators of the potential leaching of waste. With the results for all considered matrices (analytical monitoring during the pilot operation of waste, leachate and biogas) correlated with the leaching test data, two treatments were found to have a real impact on the biodegradation of waste. This multi-parameter approach has also identified the fractionation of organic compounds according to their hydrophobicity and the index SUVA as relevant indicators to assess state of waste degradation or stabilization. A complete water and mass balance of the most efficient treatments confirmed the results of the analysis
