A new spreading code based on a prime code for synchronous optical code-division multiple-access networks that can be used in monitoring applications has been proposed. The new code is referred to as “extended grouped new modified prime code.” This new code has the ability to support more terminal devices than other prime codes. In addition, it patches subsequences with “0s” leading to lower power consumption. The proposed code has an improved cross-correlation resulting in enhanced BER performance. This paper presents a new family of spreading code sequences called hybrid prime code (HPC), to be used as source code for the optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) network for large network capacity. The network capacity directly depends on the number of available code sequences provided and their correlation properties. Therefore, the proposed HPC is designed based on combining two or more different code words belonging to two or more different prime numbers. This increases the number of code sequences generated. Each of these methods depends on several assumptions, and are best used in parallel. This paper suggests a new method that ensures that the texts of a given document cannot be modified by the intruders. This method mainly consists of mixture of three steps. Background The design of an improved nuclear fuel pellet for use in the Westinghouse AP1000 reactor that is more powerful than existing pellets, is less expensive to manufacture, and meets Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for certification was undertaken to complete a senior design course in the ABET-certified nuclear engineering curriculum of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY. Methods The modeling team selected the Monte Carlo N-Particle (MCNP) program for assessing how well the pellet design achieves a k-effective value of 1, designed the base model consisting of a fuel pi

There is scanty information on tamarind’s genetic diversity in Easter Kenya. The objective of this study was to determine the genetic diversity of 64 tamarind accessions from Eastern Kenya using 12 Inter Simple Sequence Repeat (ISSR) markers. DNA was extracted from the young apical leaves using modified CTAB method and amplified using standard PCR. The data collected were scored as presence (1) or absence (0) of bands then compared to the 100bp ladder and analyzed using GeneAlex and R softwares. Only seven primers produced reproducible bands. A total of 46 alleles were produced for the 7 loci

Anti-dumping policy is an important instrument of trade policy as far as protecting markets against dishonest practices of foreign suppliers is concerned and it is compliant with international regulations such as e.g. these set by the World Trade Organisation. Generally, dumping concerns exporting commodities at lower prices than a selling price of commodities (so-called normal value). Anti-dumping policy uses appropriate preventive means against dishonest practices in a situation when:- commodity was brought to customs territory of an importing country at dumping prices,- import inflicted dam

Abstract Objectives Since 2011, early benefit assessment of all new drugs launched in Germany is mandatory. The exact determination of the appropriate target population (i. e. patients eligible for a drug) plays an important role for subsequent price negotiations. In type 2 diabetes, the size of the target population varies considerably between company dossiers submitted for assessment. Our aim was to explore whether routine data from all persons insured in German statutory health insurance (SHI) funds can be used to derive information on the size of the target population with type 2 diabetes.

Elastic-plastic contact problems lack analytical solutions due to mathematical complexities associated with both elastic contact processes and the theory of plasticity. Prediction and understanding of the mechanisms that lead to contact failure under heavy load thus rely on numerical methods, with finite element method as a strong candidate due to its strong applicability. However, the latter comes with the price of prohibitive computational burdens when highly localized gradients are found. Special numerical methods have been developed in the literature, involving the meshing of only a limite

Background Peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTCLs) are a diverse group of aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphomas characterized by a high relapse rate and poor prognosis in the relapsed/refractory (r/r) setting. Despite advances in treatment, there remains a critical need for new therapeutic strategies. This study investigates the combination of Pembrolizumab, an immune checkpoint inhibitor, and Romidepsin, a histone deacetylase inhibitor, based on the hypothesis that PTCLs harbor mutations in epigenetic modifier genes that may impair immunogenicity and promote immune escape. Differences in manufacturing emissions (as represented in the current carbon accounting methodologies) tend to favour urea, even when using the best available manufacturing technologies (BAT), whereas differences in fertilizer N efficiency and emissions of ammonia tend to favour ammonium nitrate (AN).
