Full textThe dissertation is based on the theoretical perspective of developmental psychopathology and focuses on emotional problems and their change in adolescents with learning disabilities at ages 12 to 15. The aim of the dissertation is to identify the importance of learning disability as a risk factor and other individual and interpersonal factors for emotional problems in adolescence. The study assessed 95 adolescents with learning disabilities and 93 peers without learning disabilities, thereby evaluating their emotional problems, self-perceptions, friendships, perceived social support from peers, parents and teachers as well as bullying experience. It was found that adolescents with learning disabilities had more emotional problems compared with their peers, but only at age 12-13, not at age 14-15. The main predictor of emotional problems after two years was bullying experience, although the results indicate that the same level of bullying was experienced by both groups. Learning disability as a risk factor contributes to emotional problems but only in combination with other interpersonal factors, namely the number of good friends and bullying experience; learning disability enhances vulnerability for emotional problems. The results of the dissertation call for recognition of the relevance of interpersonal factors, bullying experience in particular, for the emotional well-being of adolescents with learning disabilities.

The theoretical part of the final work emphasizes that one of the most effective economic nature mathematical literacy education‘s aspect is a teaching how to solve the real-life content‘s text tasks in which dominate operations with percentages. It is seeked to evaluate students of the tenth grades who have specific learning disorders to solve mathematics tasks of economic nature by empirical research. Questionnaire and control test are used to accomplish the research. In the quantitative investigation (questionnaire interrogation) participated 34 pupils of sixteen-seventeen years of age who are studying in the tenth forms at Panevėžys co- educational schools and have specific learning disorders. There are determined minor special educational needs for all these students. According to research it‘s determined that the most successful tasks for students were: remuneration and deduction, person and family proceeds, expenditure, savings, practical budget planning and counting. The students accomplished these tasks sufficiently productive and by one selves.

Full textContemporary education is based on purposeful activity to form pupils‘skills, abilities and their virtues and to develop their knowledge and competence. One of the main goals of contemporary education is to educate a person willing and able to study continually. Pupils learning is regarded as an active and purposeful human activity, and the questions of motivation are solved in the context of performance, actions and motivation of behaviour. Learning becomes a more complex activity requiring various pupils’ abilities, which determines a balanced development of a personality.

Full textIn order to affect the nonattendance the circumstances determining the students’ unwillingness to attend school have to be ascertained. The main analysis of the reasons of students’ failing motivation includes two aspects. The first aspect concentrates on the surrounding conditions framing the child’s disfavor to school, unwillingness to attend lessons and learn. The second aspect focuses on students’ attitudes, worth orientation which were formed in those circumstances. The failing motivation to learn might be external (effected by the surroundings) and internal (depending on students’ character features). Every child’s consciousness is directly or indirectly formed by the surroundings that have an influence on child’s motivation. The aim of the analysis is to investigate the learning motives of hearing-impaired students. The first part of the thesis includes the analysis of the literature on learning motives and their importance and provides the characteristic of hearing impairment. In the practical part the hearing-impaired students’ learning motives are analyzed and the received data is compared with conventional development students’ analysis results. Also the opinions of the educators on students‘ learning motives were analyzed. 232 respondents (of which 103 hearing-impaired, and 103 conventional development students) participated in the investigation which was carried out as a questionnaire. 26 educators also participated in the investigation.Scientific literature... Full textThe Bachelor thesis studies the learning motives of the students with intellectual disabilities and students with normal development. The aim of the thesis is to identify the learning motives of the students. It was also used to determine what factors (internal or external) are more meaningful for learning motivation for these two analyzed groups. The hypothesis is formulated that the learning motivation rate of the students with intellectual disabilities is lower than the students with normal development. The study involved 107 respondents: 44 (6-10 forms) students with intellectual disabilities and 63 (6-8 forms) students with normal development. The survey used a questionnaire prepared according to the researches of the authors Deci, Connell and Ryan (1989) adapted by Titenytė – Mackonienė (2005). The research found that the learning motivation level of the students with intellectual disabilities is lower as compared to the learning motivation of the students with normal development. It was found that the external factors (fear of punishment, the desire to please the teacher, student forced to follow the rules, shame, waiting of positive teacher evaluation, material advantages) have more influence on the learning motivation of the students with intellectual disabilities. The internal factors (the pursuit of knowledge, curiosity, interest, the desire to work in the classroom, learning significance, hobby to solve difficult tasks, search for truth, their strength... There was performed a research aimed at ascertaining the influence of the techniques of active learning on the ability of numbers and counting of the III(rd) grade’s slightly mentally retarded students by using the methods of questionnaire and testing. There was performed an analysis of the descriptive statistical data. 10 slightly mentally retarded students of the III(rd) grade participated in the research. In the empirical part there was analysed the students’ with special needs understanding about the necessity of mathematics in their daily life, there was consolidated the skills in performing numbering and arithmetical operations. The main findings of the research: 1.
