Abstract:

An algebraic method is presented to synthesize quick-returning R-S-S-R mechanisms which satisfy the given time-ratio and follower oscillation angle requirements. In these designs, the three parameters, which define the follower spheric joint, satisfy a quadratic condition. When the shaft angle between the input and output shafts is zero, this quadratic condition reduces to the equation of a circle which is a familiar classical result for the planar case. The solution space for the quick-returning R-S-S-R linkage is such that, for each set of choices for crank length a2, follower axial distance S4, and initial follower angle φ0, there are four sets of follower length a4, initial crank angle θ0, crank axial distance S2, and coupler length a3. These designs are screened so that they do not have branch defect, have transmission angle values in a given range, and have reasonable link length proportions.

Abstract:

A novel, cost effective, scalable process for the preparation of chroman epoxides starting from 4-fluorophenol is described. The highlights of the process are single step O-acylation, fries rearrangement, one pot synthesis of claisen condensation, cyclization, reduction, epoxidation with over all yield of 50.9% [(R,S)/(S,R)]-chroman epoxide-A is 33.9% and [(S,S)/(R,R)]-chroman epoxide-B is 17%.

Abstract:

This article introduces the concept of S -semiprime submodules which are a generalization of semiprime submodules and S -prime submodules. Let M be a nonzero unital R-module, where R is a commutative ring with a nonzero identity. Suppose that S is a multiplicatively closed subset of R . A submodule P of M is said to be an S -semiprime submodule if there exists a fixed s ∈ S , and whenever r n m ∈ P for some r ∈ R , m ∈ M , and n ∈ ℕ , then srm ∈ P . Also, M is said to be an S -reduced module if there exists (fixed) s ∈ S , and whenever r n m = 0 for some r ∈ R , m ∈ M , and n ∈ ℕ , then srm = 0 . In addition, to give many examples and characterizations of S -semiprime submodules and S -reduced modules, we characterize a certain class of semiprime submodules and reduced modules in terms of these concepts.

Abstract:

In this paper authors are considered the R. Kalman`s problem about of Fibonacci numbers. An overview of research methods for control theory systems in two concepts “state space” and the “input-output” mapping is presented. In this paper, we consider the problem of R. Kalman on Fibonacci numbers, which consists in the following. R. Kalman's problem on Fibonacci numbers is considered, which is as follows. Fibonacci numbers form a minimal Realization. The authors of the article formulated a theorem, which was given the name of the outstanding American Scientist R. Kalman. The proof of the theorem is very cumbersome, therefore, authors proved it using an example when the Fibonacci numbers are obtained on the basis of the application of the B. Ho`s algorithm. B. Ho is a purple of R. Kalman. In this paper, the algorithm of B. Ho is given, which allows one to find the parameters of the initial linear deterministic system. Based on these parameters, we find the initial Fibonacci numbers. Thus, Fibonacci numbers are closely related to the problem of linear deterministic implementation and to B. Ho's algorithm.

Abstract:

This article traces the trope of self-infliction for the moral economy of liver transplantation. Drawing on ethnographic fieldwork in Germany, I discuss the trope of self-infliction to explore intimate uncertainties that people with an alcoholic liver disease face when looking for medical care. I claim that the moralising trope of self-infliction plays a significant role in considerations about who is deserving of a liver transplant and a ‘second chance’. As access to transplantation becomes a life-and-death matter when livers fail, I see the trope of self-infliction as a tool for triaging lives for liver transplantation. Moreover, I claim that the trope of self-infliction, with its emphasis on self-responsibility, has a gendered dimension that puts women with an alcoholic liver disease under particular moral scrutiny. Furthermore, I demonstrate how this moralising trope shapes regulatory practices, like the ‘six-month abstinence rule’, which consequently confine livers and thus, eventually, confine lives.
