The supply chain (SC) network is prone to disturbance due to various uncertainties associated with their subsystems. The COVID-19 outbreak has exposed the global vulnerability of the supply chain network. The current pandemic has severely affected almost every SC network because its members are situated at the international level. One of the reasons for SC network failure is the deterministic assumptions of different parameters. A realistic SC network model requires the use of the uncertain value of the parameters, which can be further captured by fuzzy numbers. This paper discusses the possib

The rotational symmetries of a light beam are linked with angular momenta. Thus, the spin and orbital angular momentum are respectively related to the rotational invariance of the polarization vector and of the spatial distribution of the light field. They may take values which are integer multiple of ℏ. In some cases, a generalized angular momentum, linear combination of the first two and taking fractional values, appears naturally. We have shown theoretically and experimentally that it is conserved during high harmonics generation, yielding beams with half integer units of ℏ angular momenta.

Abstract:
In order to assess the safety of concentric reducers and eccentric reducers, the meridian stress and circumferential stress of the reducers subjected to in-plane bending moments are calculated based on the membrane theory. Solutions of limit bending moments are derived by using the approach with the equivalent stress and engineering coefficient. The solutions for both reducers are identical, as the formulas are composed of a base term multiplied by a bending moment coefficient. The limit bending moments are dominated by the small end of the reducers. The value of limit bending moment of the re

Abstract:
This Table is a compilation of experimental measurements of static electric quadrupole moments of ground states and excited states of atomic nuclei throughout the periodic table. To aid identification of the states, their excitation energy, half-life, spin and parity are given, along with a brief indication of the method and any reference standard used in the particular measurement. Experimental data from all quadrupole moment measurements actually provide a value of the product of the moment and the electric field gradient (EFG) acting at the nucleus. Knowledge of the EFG is thus necessary to

Abstract:
This paper provides an overview of the emerging hydrogen economy to help decision-makers navigate the green hydrogen value chain, understand what is required for successful implementation, and reap the potential rewards in the energy transition. Green hydrogen is a “power-to-X” business proposition based on selling molecules rather than selling electrons. The financial viability of green hydrogen production depends primarily on electrolyzer costs, local electricity input costs, specific end-use applications, and willingness of hydrogen buyers to commit to long-term offtake agreements. Abstract:
As a result of the refugee reception crisis in 2015 the advocacy for increasing resettlement numbers in the overall refugee protection framework has gained momentum, as has research on resettlement to the EU. While the UNHCR purports resettlement as a durable solution for the international protection of refugees, resettlement programmes to the European Union are seen as a pillar of the external dimension of the EU’s asylum and migration policies and management. This paper presents and discusses the literature regarding the value transmissions taking place within these programmes. It reviews li

Bent, A. L. A revised moment magnitude catalog of eastern Canada's largest earthquakes. Natural Resources Canada/CMSS/Information Management, 2022. http://dx.doi.org/10.4095/329612.

Abstract:
Although there are many scales used to calculate earthquake magnitude, moment magnitude is currently considered the preferred magnitude scale for use in seismic hazard assessment in Canada. Historically, moment magnitude was not determined for eastern Canadian earthquakes although it has been routinely calculated for earthquakes of approximately magnitude 4.0 and greater, on regional magnitude scales, for the last decade. Thus, most moment magnitudes for eastern Canadian earthquakes must be obtained by converting from another magnitude scale or from felt information. This paper provides a mome
