Full textFormerly, companies were only concerned about production on the national level. Today, however, they tend to relocate a part of their production in a third world country. The choice to invest abroad has several reasons. Indeed, by investing abroad, the company must make more than it does in its own country and develop a competitive advantage over the existing firms. In order to do so, companies form a joint venture. In a joint venture, two or more “parent” companies agree to share capital, technology, human resources, risks and rewards in a form of a new entity under shared control. These partners must be legally and economically independent from each other. The joint ventures occurred in the Anglo-Saxon law and the American law. It is a structured alliance between companies. Joint ventures were given a well determined legal framework by the jurisprudence and the doctrine. This thesis carries on the study of such investment in the Arab countries, in particular Morocco, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, and Syria. . . Countries which have a legal structure that allows them to analyse and implement a joint venture because investment in southern countries has not always been tolerated. As there are good business and accounting reasons to create a joint venture with a company that has complementary capabilities and resources, such as distribution channels, technology, or finance, joint ventures are becoming an increasingly common way for companies to form strategic alliances

Full textThe Comparative study of the development of incarceration rates in the 20th and the 21st Centuries is a conventional field in the current criminal science, a field that have witnessed a significant revival in line with David Garlands research especially « The culture of control » in 2001, about the diversion to a more purnitive system in the late 90s. The research mainly focused on Europe and North-America, the data about the rest of the world being often static and/or based on very recent reports which could cause a Euro-centricity of the remarks linked to the evolution of these rates. The objective of this research is to complete the current research by taking into account the cases in arab speaking nations. Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Algeria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Jordan. Firstly, it consists of the review of existing historical datas on the evolution of incarceration in Arabic countries and on the obstacles of acquisition of such datas. Secondly, this research will attempt to articulate the current theories on the reasons of variations on incarceration, theories which were developped for Europe and North-America with the new data. The aim being to test three hypotheses: functional hypothesis, the hypothesis of Rusch and Kirchheimer and the authoritarian hypothesis

Full textThe action of Morocco in favor of the security of the Arab world realizes in a perspective certifying the stability of the zone in full boiling. To accomplish a difficult task, Morocco refers to a diplomacy characterized by pragmatism and realism. This attitude encourages this country to propose like mediator to peacefully solve the disagreements and the conflicts, which start within the Arab world. For this mission, it uses means available in particular, the diplomacy like forms privileged action. This intervening operates under different forms. However if a military action becomes one requires and constitutes a support with its sedentary diplomacy, morocco intervenes. By these multiple actions, it aims achieve it of a duty of solidarity and the search for a statute of influential actor within his regional and international environment. The bonds of solidarity and interdependence between the Arab states influence the internal security of each state pertaining to this regional unit. This one is characterized by the insecurity and instability. This state is generated by the change of the international order and the powers covetousness extra regional. A role of stabilizer of the state whose means are limited proves difficult to exert. Holding account of the situation, morocco chose the process of democratization. This choice is concretized by the progressive phasing-in of a state of right where the respect of the law becomes a rule, which is essential on the whole of the company. In this direction, one can speak about a democratic model where the civil laws and political of the citizens are essentially respected. This option actually appeared, at the end of the Ninety with the arrival with the capacity of the opposition then the rise on the throne of the king Mohamed VI. It was to be carried out through the application of the principle of political alternation. This process supported started reforms aiming at the democratization of the state and the company. This step can compensate for the lack of the means to impose itself like regional power able to solve the Pan-Arab conflicts. The evolution towards the introduction of a state of right enables him to arise on the chess-board political like model to follow and actor influential

Full textShe main subject of this research consists in the study of the mutual influences between two key concepts which summarize the history of the arab world: its unity and its solidarity about the palestinian affair. The panarabism, since the decline of the Ottoman Empire, has put the myth of unity at the top of political priority. The palestinian question doesn't require any specific solution and analysis. When the panarabism collapsed in 1967 two major consequences emerged: the first one is the birth of the "palestianism" which is a refusal and rejection of the arabs'auspices. The palestinians would have to consider the myth of unity and demand liberation. The second consequence concerns the new configuration of the arab world: with the emergence of new powers (syria, saudi arabia) and a more pragmatic approach of the unity. This leads to the conclusion that the conflict in the Middle East is now transfered towards israel and the plo with a progressive non-involvement of the arab countries

Full textThe first chapter is a presentation of the institute, its history and its mission. It also dwells upon the local French political scene and the relations between France and the Arab world. It also offers a brief overview of the political and social realities of the Arab world.
Chapter two is an introduction to the particularities of the French cultural landscape. It looks at the historical and social movement towards the democratization of culture, specifically through the transformation of the museum and of cultural institutions as a whole.
Chapter three aims at identifying the repercussions of the French cultural policies on the Institute's functioning. The perceived failure of these policies is confronted with the official discourse surrounding the Institute.
Chapter four is a mapping of the different discourses that manifest themselves through the Institute. The multiplicity of the discourses and the discrepancies of their proclaimed objectives are understood to be at the source of the malfunctioning of the Institute.
This thesis does not attempt at finding solutions to the many problems of the Arab World Institute. It is rather an excavation work that aims at bringing forth some of the issues that could be explored while attempting at finding a resolution to the ailments of the Institute.

Since the 50's, the ussr tried to became an arab power; and dispite a many efforts in this area and a number of solicitation to the arab governments. Moscow's effortsare exerciced in all directionsand they are following totally opportunistic an pragmatic logic.
