Abstract:
Purpose. The paper considers methods for determining discharge density when extinguishing agents are discharged via monitors. The work is aimed at developing methods for objective and practically relevant discharge density assessment when extinguishing agents are discharged via monitors. To achieve the purpose the following tasks have been solved: – analysis of monitor discharge density assessment approaches has been carried out, their advantages and disadvantages as well as limited scope of application for monitors have been established; – scientifically based approach has been developed for

Abstract:
Background Reliance on physiological monitors to continuously “watch” patients and to alert the nurse when a serious rhythm problem occurs is standard practice on monitored units. Alarms are intended to alert clinicians to deviations from a predetermined “normal” status. However, alarm fatigue may occur when the sheer number of monitor alarms overwhelms clinicians, possibly leading to alarms being disabled, silenced, or ignored. Purpose Excessive numbers of monitor alarms and fear that nurses have become desensitized to these alarms was the impetus for a unit-based quality improvement project.

Abstract:
Maintaining adequate cerebral perfusion is important in the treatment of patients with closed head injury. Placement of an intracranial pressure (ICP) monitor is necessary to determine both ICP and the cerebral perfusion pressure and serves as a guide to the contemporary management of traumatic brain injury. Insertion of such monitoring devices historically has been performed by neurosurgeons, but others including general (trauma) surgeons have successfully inserted simple ICP monitors. The purpose of this study was to assess the efficacy of ICP monitor placement and to compare the complicatio

Different monitors have different performances on showing the color characteristics. That is, a specific group of RGB values shows different colors in different monitors and different monitors have different color gamut. In order to study the abilities to show color characteristics among the monitors of Dell, HP, EIZO and IBM, we use PR655 to measure chromatic values of different colors on the monitors above. Then we analyze the Chromatic values .Finally we get differences of the monitors in color gamut, the gradation curves and gray balance as follows. As a result, the color gamut in the moni

The monitor lizard (Varanus salvator) has the widest distribution among all extant varanids found across South and Southeast Asia. However, behavioral studies on captive monitor lizard have not been well-documented. The objective of this research was to investigate the effects of enrichment items on the activity and spatial distribution of captive monitor lizards. The study involved three adult captive Black water monitors (Hiea dam), three adult Roughnecked monitors (Ngu-hao Chang), and two adult Dumeril’s monitors (Tut-too) in outdoor enclosures. Three treatments were administered: control (
