Abstract:
This research presents experimentation of MOODLE course management system for teaching software engineering and process modelling to master’s degree students. The students used MOOLE for online discussions, assignments and for downloading lecture notes for a duration of four months. Thereafter, they evaluated the learning environment with questionnaires. The results indicate that MOODLE is a highly accepted learning management system for teaching and learning in a resource limited country. However, for a learning management system like MOODLE to be effectively implemented in a University setting, it is important for the University management toinvest in the initial computer hardware equipment and Internet connectivity infrastructure to overcome technology barriers.Keywords · MOODLE · Blended learning · E-learning

Abstract:
Objective: This study examines the efficacy of learning management system (LMS) support in enhancing graduate students; study skills, with a particular focus on the impact of Moodle utilization on academic performance. Theoretical Framework: In the field of education, information and communication technologies (ICT) have played a pivotal role in transforming teaching practices. Moodle has emerged as a prominent electronic learning platform, integrating learning resources into a digital environment. Previous studies have demonstrated that using LMS platforms like Moodle can improve certain study skills in students. Method: The research employed a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design. Two groups of 47 students each were formed: an experimental group (using Moodle) and a control group (using traditional methods). The efficacy of the intervention was evaluated by measuring nine dimensions of study skills using a 60-item questionnaire administered before and after the intervention. Results and Discussion: The experimental group exhibited notable advancement in six of the nine assessed areas in the posttest, outperforming the control group in aspects such as motivation for learning, organization and planning, and resource utilization. However, no significant improvements were observed in essay writing and effective listening skills. Research Implications: Findings suggest that using Moodle can enhance various study skills; however, it is essential to adapt LMS platforms to meet the specific needs of students and educational contexts. Originality/Value: This study makes a significant contribution to the field of educational technology by demonstrating Moodles potential to enhance study skills in graduate students. It also highlights the need for further research on its implementation across different educational contexts in order to gain a deeper understanding and optimize learning management system (LMS) platforms.

Abstract:
The development of the Intensive Reading learning process with e-learning Moodle is a focus of attention in this study. The main purpose is to find out the effectiveness, practicality, and feasibility of e-learning Moodle that has been designed in the process of learning. The instructional model of ADDIE was the basis for this development research which involves Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Twenty-eight students who joined the intensive reading class and eight validators who were experts in their fields became trial participants in this study. The feasibility of e-learning Moodle was validated by an evaluation sheet that was completed by six validators, who were experts in their field such as learning- media, material, and process. Furthermore, the acquisition of data from students' questionnaires becomes the main data in determining of effectiveness and practicality of the e-learning Moodle. The study indicated that learning model produced can be acceptable and eligible categories, including layout, navigation, function, and pedagogical areas. Based on the students’ answers related to the use of e-learning Moodle of Intensive reading class, it depicts to be effective and practice in all aspects of the evaluation.

O presente trabalho tem por objetivo avaliar o ambiente virtual de aprendizagem Moodle com o intuito de identificar os problemas de funcionalidade enfrentados pelas pessoas com deficiência visual e adequá-lo diante dos requisitos de acessibilidade. A trajetória metodológica foi organizada em três etapas, onde primeiramente foi realizado um levantamento das pesquisas vinculadas a esta temática, posteriormente, realizou-se um estudo exploratório e descritivo para identificar os problemas de acessibilidade da plataforma e por último, empregou-se o método do Design Science Research, na resolução dos problemas detectados. Conclui-se que todas as necessidades de adequações evidenciadas, foram possíveis de empregar uma solução de acessibilidade. Considera-se que as descrições possam servir de subsídio para a geração de conhecimento, tanto no campo prático quanto no campo teórico.

This study investigates students’ Moodle log on content on LLFXX Moodle page and correlates it with the students’ Moodle logs for the other forms of engagement (instructor, other learners, assessments and feedback from assessments). 80 students from a mandatory English language course at pre-degree level at the USP participated in the research. These students were enrolled in LLFXX in Blended mode at the Laucala campus in the Fiji Islands. Data on students’ Moodle logs were extracted from LLFXX Moodle page and were analysed using the SPSS software. Pearson’s chi-square test was used to find the correlation between students’ Moodle log on content on LLFXX Moodle page and their academic achievements. Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient test was used to find the p value and r value to determine the statistically significant bivariate association and strength of association between students’ Moodle log on content and the other forms of engagement on LLFXX Moodle page. The findings reflect the importance of content and engagement with content. It also emphasises the need to be vigilant with the quality and quantity of content placed on the course Moodle page.

The results of this study state that the use of the Moodle application provides a new experience in online learning activities, students can easily operate several features of the Moodle application, the learning process expects students to use the Moodle application, the Moodle application is one of e-learnin ithat can support learning activities online, the use of the Moodle application because classmates agree to use the Moodle application, and students can use the Moodle application easily in carrying out online learning activities.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap Learning Management System (LMS) Moodle berbasis teori behaviorisme pada perkuliahan program studi Pendidikan Matematika UPS Tegal. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan. Subyek penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang telah menggunakan LMS Moodle melalui website pmtk.upstegal.com. Jumlah subyek penelitian adalah 107 mahasiswa. Mahasiswa diberikan kuesioner melalui google form pada tampilan LMS Moodle. Persepsi mahasiswa terhadap kepraktisan Learning Management System (LMS) Moodle berbasis teori behaviorisme adalah sebagai berikut. (1) 76,6 % mahasiswa berpendapat bahasa yang digunakan dalam konten LMS Moodle sesuai dengan pola pikir mahasiswa. (2) 73,8 % berpendapat tampilan yang digunakan menarik dan sesuai dengan materi. (3) 64,2 % berpendapat setuju semua materi yang diberikan dalam konten LMS Moodle terstruktur. (4) 65,1 % berpendapat setuju berkaitan dengan LMS Moodle memberikan umpan balik tugas dari dosen. (5) 63,2 % berpendapat setuju bahwa mahasiswa dapat belajar secara mandiri melalui materi yang telah diupload dalam LMS Moodle.

La enseñanza a través de la plataforma Moodle en la educación en línea, se entiende como aquella que solicita un desarrollo autónomo asistido u orientado por uno o más docentes en la educación superior. En la actualidad existe la necesidad de aprovechar Moodle para fortalecer la enseñanza de inglés. Objetivo: Este artículo analiza las diferentes producciones científicas orientadas a la plataforma Moodle y sus beneficios, considerando sus inconvenientes, para fortalecer el proceso de enseñanza en inglés e intenta proponer alternativas metodológicas en la utilización de Moodle. Materiales y métodos. Esta revisión de 51 estudios es de alcance descriptivo cualitativo, se extrajo; recomendaciones, resultados, metodologías al aplicar Moodle y se organizó en tres apartados; (1) Beneficios de aplicar Moodle en la enseñanza de inglés, (2) Inconvenientes que pueden presentarse al aplicar Moodle en la enseñanza de inglés, (3) Actividades en Moodle y alternativas metodológicas para las clases de inglés en línea. Resultados. Se descubrió que las habilidades comunicativas más desarrolladas al integrar Moodle tenían en común la mejora en la gramática y escritura. Conclusión: Se puede tomar a este artículo de referencia para revisar todos las características e inconvenientes que ofrece Moodle y fortalecer la enseñanza del inglés en línea.

Abstract:
Many universities use Moodle as a complementary medium of lesson delivery to extend learning beyond the classroom. However, the merits of using Moodle will not be realized if students fail to use this learning platform. This article investigated essential factors and gender differences that influence students' decisions to use Moodle. Technology acceptance model (TAM) was integrated with Moodle enjoyment and quality of internet connection factors to form the theoretical framework of this study. Data collected from 327 randomly selected students were analysed using structural equation modelling (SEM). The results showed that quality of internet connection has the greatest effect of β = 0.86 on behavioural intention while Moodle enjoyment has the highest impact of β=0.74 on actual Moodle usage. Furthermore, findıngs revealed that significant differences (t =1.77, p = 0.05) of Moodle enjoyment influence on behavioural intention exist between genders. The findings serve as a guide for planning, designing, and implementing Moodle as e-learning for students in universities.

Perkuliahan atau pembelajaran secara online atau daring merupakan solusi satu-satunya di masa pandemic Covid-19. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring ini membutuhkan sistem telekomunikasi yang interaktif untuk memastikan proses pembelajaran berjalan efektif dan efisien. Salah satu sistem telekomunikasi yang dikembangkan dalam rangka pembelajaran darin ini adalah Learning Management System (LMS) Moodle. Moodle dapat menjadi rekomendasi aplikasi teknologi untuk menunjang pembelajaran daring yang inovatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana penggunaan LMS Moodle dalam perkuliahan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan dianalisis dengan cara dideskripsikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan LMS Moodle harus dirancang secara sistematis dalam Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS). Modul pembelajaran yang dibuat menggunakan LMS Moodle dapat disajikan dengan berbagai konsep penyajian sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Penggunaan LMS Moodle dalam perkuliahan dapat membantu mahasiswa meningkatkan aktivitas belajar baik secara mandiri maupun terbimbing. Oleh karena itu berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disarankan untuk menggunakan LMS Moodle dalam perkuliahan untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran mahasiswa yang ditunjukkan dengan aktivitas belajar di Moodle.

Pada masa pandemi Covid-19 ini, semua aktivitas yang berhubungan dengan sentuhan fisik, melibatkan banyak orang harus dihindari. Hal ini berguna untuk mencegah penularan virus Covid-19. Kegiatan pendidikan termasuk salah satu kegiatan ini. Solusi untuk hal ini adalah melaksanakan kegiatan pendidikan dengan menggunakan teknologi internet atau E-Learning. Moodle merupakan salah satu E-Learning yang paling banyak digunakan. Sayangnya tidak semua guru-guru memiliki kemampuan untuk mengoperasikan Moodle. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, Yayasan Badan Pendidikan Kristen dan Universitas Widya Kartika bekerja sama memberikan pelatihan Moodle kepada guru-guru. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru masih perlu sering-sering menggunakan Moodle, sehingga mereka terbiasa menggunakan Moodle dan mampu menjadikan Moodle sebagai tool E-Learning di masa pandemi ini.

<strong>Abstract</strong> M-Flex is the approach used by utilizing various interesting and quality online learning maneuvers. Moodle-based M-Flex learning specifically in Pancasila learning is the focus of this research. The research aimed to see students&#39; initial responses to Moodle-based M-Flex and monitor any benefits and security felt by users. The approach used is qualitative, with interviews as research instruments. The research respondents were 9 students. Analysis procedures used descriptive qualitative methods. In conclusion, the application of M-Flex based on Moodle still faces several challenges related to students&#39; internet connections, the lack of training in using Moodle for students in Pancasila classes, and the assessment design which is still less varied. M-Flex based on Moodle, on the other hand, shows an advantage because it is supported by Moodle features that continue to develop. &nbsp; <strong><em>Abstrak</em></strong> <em>M-Flex adalah pendekatan yang digunakan dengan memanfaatkan berbagai manuver pembelajaran dalam jaringan yang menarik dan berkualitas. Pembelajaran M-Flex berbasis Moodle khusus dalam pembelajaran Pancasila dijadikan fokus dalam penelitian. Tujuan penelitian untuk melihat respons awal mahasiswa terhadap M-Flex berbasis Moodle dan memantau setiap manfaat serta keamanan yang dirasakan oleh penggunanya. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan wawancara sebagai instrumen penelitian. Responden penelitian sebanyak 9 mahasiswa. Prosedur analisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Kesimpulannya penerapan M-Flex berbasis moodle masih menghadapi beberapa tantangan terkait koneksi internet mahasiswa, kurangnya pelatihan penggunaan moodle bagi mahasiswa dalam kelas Pancasila dan rancangan asesmen yang masih kurang variatif. M-Flex berbasis Moodle di sisi lain memperlihatkan keuntungan karena ditunjang fitur moodle yang terus berkembang.</em>

This article examines the integration of Moodle to support face-to-face reading class learning activities since the management of learning reading comprehension as a single activity in the classroom is not sufficient. Students need to read outside the classroom and the teacher monitors students' reading comprehension activities. This can be realized by integrating Moodle in teaching and learning activities as a form of blended learning. More specifically, this best practice article illustrates three things, namely: (1) learning planning, (2) implementation strategies for integrating Moodle into face-to-face learning reading comprehension activities, and (3) The results of utilizing moodle to facilitate students’ reading comprehension activities in blended learning context. Students at one of senior high schools in Pangkalpinang are participants in this study. Furthermore, in this best practice, there are two data sources; document analysis and interview. The document analysis is taken from the learning activities where Moodle is used to visualize the picture of reading comprehension narrative text activities. Data from interviews are used to describe students' attitude in integrating Moodle in learning reading comprehension of narrative texts. It was described that Moodle, forum and quiz feature, were developed to support reading comprehension activities. It is also illustrated that students' attitude on the use of Moodle is positive; Moodle motivated students to work on Moodle questions so that they learn more actively, effectively, and reflectively.

This study explored the correlation between students’ Moodle logs on assessments and feedback on assessments on LLFXX Moodle page. Nine forms of assessments and four forms of feedback on assessments on LLFXX Moodle page were studied. Four of these assessments are part of students’ continuous assessments which add up to 50% of their Course work. Three of the feedbacks on assessments are for these continuous assessed assignments and tests. 80 Blended mode students from the Laucala campus of the university participated in this research. LLFXX, which is a mandatory pre-degree English course was used for the purpose of this research. A quantitative research method was employed to analyse data. Data was extracted on Moodle logs of LLFXX Blended mode Laucala students and were analyzed using two statistical tests. Pearson’s chi-square test in SPSS was used to find the correlation between Moodle logs for assessments and feedback for assessments on LLFXX Moodle page. Pearson’s correlational coefficient test from SPSS was used to find the degree of association between Moodle logs for each of the assessments and their feedbacks in LLFXX. There was no correlation (statistically insignificant) found between the Moodle logs for test 2 for LLFXX and Moodle logs for feedback on tests. However, there was a statistically significant correlation found between the Moodle logs of other assessments and their feedback for LLFXX.

Hal tersebut membuat guru dan siswa dalam waktu yang singkat harus mempersiapkan seluruh vasilitas pendukung pembelajaran. Sedangkan di Kabupaten Malang, para guru fisika masih belum begitu akrab dengan pembelajaran daring, maka pendampingan dan pelatihan pembelajaran daring dengan memanfaatkan moodle sangat dibutuhkan. Kegiatan diawali dengan studi literatur dan lapangan, perencanaan, pemberian materi, demosntrasi dan praktek dan diakhiri dengan kegiatan evaluasi. Untuk mengetahui keberhasilan program, kami menyebarkan kueisioner (n = 13 item) kepada seluruh peserta tentang persepsi terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan moodle dan memantau perkembangan pemahaman guru melalui moodle yang telah dikembangkan. Guru fisika didampingi dan dilatih untuk membuat pembelajaran daring melalui moodle dan variasi model moodle yang sudah pernah diperoleh. Peserta pelatihan dan pendampingan yang diselenggarakan secara daring berjumlah 40 guru fisika di wilayah Kabupaten Malang yang meliputi 34 orang guru fisika SMA dan 6 orang guru fisika MA. Walaupun kehadiran guru tidak bersamaan masuk room meet, tetapi setiap guru selalu masuk setiap hari. Namun, yang aktif mengerjakan pembuatan moodle hanya 25 orang guru yaitu 24 orang guru SMA dan 1 orang guru MA. Peserta yang membuat moodle tersebut bervariasi ada yang hanya membuat Assignment untuk materi dinamika, sampai ada yang lengkap membuat assignment, quiz, dan file untuk materi mekanika, dinamika, usaha dan energi, serta impuls dan momentum. Berdasarkan respon peserta pada angket terkait pelatihan dan pendampingan penyusunan moodle didapatkan 75,19% peserta merespon baik pembelajaran dengan moodle. ABSTRACTThe impact of covid-19 outbreaks forced every school to require teachers and students to do online learning from home. This makes teachers and students in a short time must prepare all the learning support facilities. While in Malang Regency, physics teachers are still not so good with online learning, so online learning assistance and training by utilizing moodle is needed. The programme have began with literature and field research, planning, materials provision, demonstrations, and practices, and concludes with evaluation. To assess the program's performance, we provided a questionnaire (n = 13 questions) to all participants regarding their perceptions of learning with Moodle and simplifying the teacher's knowledge through the produced Moodle. Physics teachers are accompanied and trained to make online learning through moodle and variations of moodle models that have been obtained. The trainees and mentoring held online amounted to 40 physics teachers in malang regency which included 34 high school physics teachers and 6 MA physics teachers. Although the presence of teachers does not coincide with entering the room meet, but every teacher always enters every day. However, who actively do the creation of moodle only 25 teachers, namely 24 high school teachers and 1 MA teacher. Participants who make the moodle vary there are only making Assignments for dynamic materials, until there are complete assignments, quis, and files for mechanical materials, dynamics, work and energy, as well as impulses and momentum. Based on the participants' responses to the questionnaire related to training and mentoring in the preparation of moodle, it was found that 75.19% of participants responded well to learning with moodle. Moodle adalah salah satu software open source e-learning yang dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Salah satu kelebihan dalam penggunaan aplikasi ini yaitu dapat diakses secara langsung melalui Android. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu metode angket. Data didapatkan melalui pengisian angket yang disebar melalui email dan media sosial. Hasil analissis mengenai aplikasi Moodle ini mendapatkan data tentang beberapa kelebihan moodle dalam pembelajaran daring. Kesimpulan yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini diketahui adanya minat positif untuk mengikuti mata kuliah evaluasi proses dan hasil belajar biologi dengan menggunakan moodle. Mayoritas mahasiswa berbakat dan terampil dalam menggunakan aplikasi e-learning moodle. Mayoritas juga berperan aktif berdiskusi dalam mengikuti perkuliahan evaluasi proses dan hasil belajar biologi. Mahasiswa merasa aplikasi moodle menjadi jembatan antara aplikasi video conference dan media sosial.

Over the past 10 years, many educational institutions around the world have developed a variety of online learning media available to students. Online learning media makes the concept of educational institutions more flexible and resilient, especially in SMK PGRI 1 Tangerang. This research aims to create Moodle e-learning media to be used as learning media for SMK PGRI 1 Tangerang. The survey included data collected from 283 students, focusing on student and teacher perceptions of learning in Moodle. The data was processed using SPSS 26, and analysis of the data obtained revealed various factors associated with the implementation of Moodle's pedagogical, technical and managerial approach. The results show that people familiar with Moodle recognize the importance and usefulness of Moodle because it can be easily accessed from any web-enabled location. They are happy with Moodle and feel the importance of Moodle. Moodle also helps them better understand and learn subjects by changing the web content of the course, especially if students prefer the face-to-face method, but support online Moodle activities as the preferred method of learning.

Moodle is a widely used Learning Management System in various educational institutions worldwide. However, frequent reports on internet forums indicate performance degradation when massive simultaneous users access Moodle. One of the most resource-intensive components supporting Moodle is the database, as all user-accessed data is stored in it. This study aims to optimize Moodle’s performance through distributed databases. Distributing the database into multiple database servers allows the database load to be distributed across all the database servers, resulting in an overall improvement in Moodle performance. This study compares the performance of Moodle installed on a single server with that installed on multiple database servers. Various testing parameters are employed to get valid results. Namely, course read, course write, and database performance, utilizing the server performance plugin available in Moodle. This research reveals a performance improvement of 384% in course read, 193% in course write, and 260% in the Moodle database in the multi-server scenario compared to the single-server scenario. This result validates that the database is the most crucial part of Moodle.

Penelitian ini diuji cobakan di SMA Negeri 2 Majene tahun ajaran 2020/2021 dengan subjek uji coba yaitu kelas XI IPA 5 yang berjumlah 32 orang dan 1 orang guru fisika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil pengembangan media pembelajaran e-learning dengan moodle materi fluida dinamis dikategorikan valid oleh pakar dan penerapan pembelajaran menggunakan media e-learning dengan Moodle mendapat respon positif dari siswa dan guru. The research method was descriptive. Research subjects were students and lecturers related to the Operating Systems course. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis. Метою дослідження є проектування Moodle-орієнтованого віртуального навчального середовища як засобу підготовки фахівців соціономічних професій. Задачами дослідження є аналіз можливостей віртуального навчального середовища у створенні умов формування фахових компетентностей майбутніх учителів математики, інформатики та майбутніх юристів. Об’єктом дослідження є процес формування фахових компетентностей майбутніх фахівців соціономічних професій. Предметом дослідження є використання системи Moodle в процесі формування соціально-технологічної компетентності майбутніх фахівців соціономічних професій. У роботі проведено аналіз, узагальнення та систематизацію досліджень з проблеми використання системи Moodle у навчальній діяльності ЗВО, виконано експериментальне впровадження курсів дистанційного навчання системою Moodle. Для оцінки ефективності використання віртуального навчального середовища Moodle як засобу підготовки фахівців соціономічних професій заплановано проведення педагогічного експерименту. Результати дослідження планується узагальнити в рекомендації щодо використання системи Moodle як засобу підготовки фахівців соціономічних професій.

E-course management could be reflected both pedagogically, which implies analysis of teacher’s role as course manager, and administratively, making course activities traceable for estimation and institutional control. The article presents the results of Moodle log data analysis at higher education institutions in Latvia. Analysis is made in order to reveal Moodle log data opportunities and restrictions as an instrument, which could be purposefully used for course management both in administrative and pedagogical sense. Moodle log data analysis, which is showing time, activities and additional information about Moodle interactive tools usage, has been compared to teachers’ self-report survey results about their e-course management activities within Moodle. The study shows that teachers are tended to overestimate their course management activities’ frequency within Moodle comparing to lag data. Possibility to analyse Moodle log data by teachers and higher education institution administration could help to improve e-courses management, which is significant factor for improving learning outcomes.

Padang Religious Education and Training Center has conducted Distance Training using the Moodle LMS since 2019. This study aims to determine the participants’ perceptions of the ease of using Moodle LMS among Inclusive Training participants by using descriptive statistics and degrees of achievement. The research subjects were 30 participants of the Inclusive Education Distance Training. The quantitative data in this study were obtained by means of a questionnaire assessment using the formula for the degree of achievement of the questionnaire. The results of the research on participants’ perceptions of the ease of use of the Moodle LMS as a whole was 78.83% so that it could be categorized in the fairly easy category. What was measured by indicators: ease of learning to use Moodle LMS, ease of getting what you want in Moodle LMS, using Moodle LMS does not require much thought and Moodle LMS is easy to understand and use. To prevent the spread of Covid-19, online learning or LFF is implemented. LFH shifted formal education practice from the classroom (on-site) learning to online learning. All subjects in schools are conducted online, including English subjects. One of the software applications that can assist in English teaching and learning online was Learning Management Systems. One LMS that can be used as a learning platform is Moodle. The friendly tools that Moodle offers help students to adapt quickly to this platform. However, with this sudden shifting between offline to online environments, the students need to adjust without maximum preparation. Therefore, in implementing Moodle, the teachers should know students' readiness and perception of using Moodle as an English learning media. In this research, the researchers apply survey research that explores students' readiness and perceptions towards the use of Moodle in learning English during the pandemic Covid-19. The instrument uses the questionnaire, and the participants are 100 students of SMK Yadika Bandarlampung. The result of this research shows that students of SMK Yadika Bandarlampung are ready to implement Moodle as their English learning media. They also had a positive perception toward Moodle during their time using Moodle. However, the students still face some problems such as connection and internet data, which often becomes a barrier for them in following Moodle activities.

This paper presents an empirical study and related activity system analysis regarding the implementation and use of Moodle specifically, and learning management systems in general, in problem-based learning. The research involved an exploration of the characteristics that defined use of Moodle at a Danish university, the reasons why Moodle was or was not used in specific contexts and the way in which Moodle use was perceived by students. Some of the obstacles and challenges identified through this study highlighted the need for a deeper analysis of the elements that characterised the activity system(s) and their contradictions in this contextual setting, leading to a consideration of possible implications for change processes. The investigation consisted of a literature review, a survey of 345 students regarding their experiences with Moodle in conjunction with a nomination for the best Moodle course, an analysis of the 178 nominated courses and interviews with four university teachers about their use of Moodle. This examination revealed that many existing Moodle activities at Aalborg University focus more on sharing information and teaching materials and less on the students’ problem-based learning activities and projects. This finding is intriguing, as use of Moodle does not reflect that problem-based learning comprises the pedagogical foundation of Aalborg University’s academic programme. The investigation uncovered several reasons for the lack of focus on problem-based learning in Moodle structures and content and explored them through the contradictions identified within the activity systems and between the double contextual frame surrounding the interacting activity system.

Abstract: The study purpose is to investigate the effectiveness of Moodle activities in enhancing the learning of English as a foreign language (EFL) for Yemeni teachers alongside traditional face-to-face teaching. It seeks to understand the factors that influence the adoption of Moodle use based on the users' own experiences. The research was conducted using a mixed methods approach that included both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. The survey collected data from 22 Yemeni faculty members enrolled in the English Department at the University of Science and Technology who use Moodle activities. The instrument was online. The results showed that the level of using Moodle as a learning tool and the perception of using LMS in general were moderate. Moodle activities have a positive impact on Yemeni teachers' learning EFL by improving their language skills and increasing their motivation to learn. In addition, the use of Moodle activities promotes collaborative learning and provides opportunities for self-directed learning. No statistically significant differences were found at the 0.05 level in students' use of Moodle as a learning tool and their perceptions of LMS use, differentiated by gender, computer ownership, and monthly allowance. Moodle can be an effective tool for EFL teaching and learning in Yemen, where access to traditional face-to-face instruction is limited. As hypothesised, there was a positive relationship between Moodle use as a learning tool and perception of LMS use at the 0.01 level. Students using Moodle expressed more positive perceptions of LMS use than students with low use.

Despite the wide spread adoption of MOODLE by Higher Learning Institutions (HLIs) in Tanzania, there is still lack of maximum utilization of the software by learners. This is due to lack of interactivity in the system caused by poor MOODLE customization and configuration, improper content design and integration with add-on multimedia files. On the other hand, instructors consider that uploading learning materials in MOODLE is enough without putting down the interactivity facilities.&#x0D; This paper assesses the interactivity in MOODLE from both design and usage. The paper discloses the extent of poor MOODLE customization that can likely hinder the inclusion of the multimedia facilities, extent of poor online course design and lack of virtual interactivity among learners.&#x0D; To undertake this study, a case study methodology was opted by investigating the MOODLE platform of the Open University of Tanzania. The respondents to this study were categorized as MOODLE Learners (MLs), MOODLE Instructors (MIs) and MOODLE Administrators (MA). In addition to interview, an intensive documentary review together with screening the design and configurations of MOODLE servers has been done. The study focused on four aspects of interactivity which are learner interaction to learner, instructor, content, and interface.&#x0D; The study reveals that there is a critical lack of interactivity between learners themselves enrolled in the same course, between learners and their respective tutors and between learners and system contents and interfaces. The synchronous interaction is less practiced compared to asynchronous interaction. This has been due to less insertion of real time multimedia and interactivity features.&#x0D; Generally, uncoordinated operations and ad hoc performance among key MOODLE stakeholders during interface design, software implementation, system configuration, and onsite content development form the basis of this.

Moodle-based M-Flex learning specifically in Pancasila learning is the focus of this research. The research aimed to see students' initial responses to Moodle-based M-Flex and monitor any benefits and security felt by users. The approach used is qualitative, with interviews as research instruments. The research respondents were 9 students. Analysis procedures used descriptive qualitative methods. In conclusion, the application of M-Flex based on Moodle still faces several challenges related to students' internet connections, the lack of training in using Moodle for students in Pancasila classes, and the assessment design which is still less varied. M-Flex based on Moodle, on the other hand, shows an advantage because it is supported by Moodle features that continue to develop.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;Abstrak&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;M-Flex adalah pendekatan yang digunakan dengan memanfaatkan berbagai manuver pembelajaran dalam jaringan yang menarik dan berkualitas. The results of the research that has been carried out regarding the selection of items on the Moodle-based computerized adaptive test (CAT) were obtained: (1) The Moodle adaptive test worked successfully in accordance with the research objectives, (2) Based on user responses, the selection of items on the Moodle adaptive test items had worked well for the exam, (3) The Moodle adaptive test can run according to its function, namely adaptive to the user’s ability.

Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) has been a focus in language teacher education as technology-savvy language teachers are in demand. However, initiating CALL implementation might be tricky. In this paper, the author is sharing her experience in starting Moodle as a Course Management System (CMS) at the English Education Study Program of Universitas Muria Kudus. Moodle is a free online CMS platform whose features can serve language learning well; it also can facilitate collaborative learning and problem-based learning. This Moodle project started with research on students' device ownership and technology mastery, faculty member's perception of technology, and technology resources at the university. The project then continued with a pilot program, that was putting three courses on Moodle for one semester. This pilot program was considered successful; thus, the Moodle initiation was considered possible to implement. Later, a workshop and some assistance sessions for the faculty members were conducted to familiarize them with Moodle. At the same time, technical preparation took place; this included installing Moodle, customizing it to the English Department's needs, and creating a student database.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&amp;D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Pengumpulan data data menggunakan teknik angket dan observasi. Penilaian kualitas produk dilakukan oleh satu ahli materi, satu ahli media pembelajaran, dan 30 peserta didik mata kuliah dokkai shokyu di Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang. Pada hasil uji ahli isi, secara umum, moodle ini dinilai baik sekali dan dapat digunakan dengan revisi. Pada hasil uji ahli media, moodle ini dinilai baik dan dapat digunakan dengan revisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Mahasiswa mampu menggunakan fitur seperti mengunduh materi, mengunggah tugas, &lt;em&gt;quiz&lt;/em&gt; secara &lt;em&gt;online&lt;/em&gt;; (2) Dosen sudah mampu menggunakan fitur dasar Moodle; dan (3) keaktifan mahasiswa dan dosen masih kurang karena belum optimal menggunakan komunikasi melalui fitur forum dan &lt;em&gt;chatting &lt;/em&gt;yang ada di Moodle.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="StyleAuthorBold"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;Abstract&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;The purpose of this research was to determine the evaluation of Moodle-based online learning in the Operating Systems course in aspects of: (1) The ability of students to use Moodle; (2) The ability of lecturers to use Moodle; and (3) The activeness of student and lecturer communication in the use of Moodle in the Operating Systems course. The research method was descriptive. Research subjects were students and lecturers related to the Operating Systems course. Data collection techniques used: (1) Questionnaire, to obtain information from students; (2) Documentation, which is to take log data on Moodle; and (3) Interviews, to obtain data from supporting lecturers related to abilities and activities. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis. The results showed that: (1) Students were able to use features such as downloading material, uploading assignments, quizzes online; (2) Lecturers have been able to use the basic features of Moodle; and (3) the activeness of students and lecturers is still lacking because it is not yet optimal in using communication through the forum and chat features available in Moodle.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
