Abstract:

RésuméUne nouvelle définition des sous-genres de Dercylus Castelnau, 1832, est proposée, et leur synonymie est clarifiée. Quatre sous-genres sont retenus : Dercylus s.str., Eurydercylus, subgen.nov. (espèce-type : Dercylus tenebricosus La Ferté-Sénectère, 1851), Asporina Castelnau, 1835, et Licinodercylus Kuntzen, 1912. Dercylodes Chaudoir, 1883, et Pterodercylus Kuntzen, 1912, sont considérés comme des synonymes de Dercylus s.str. Le nom Licinodercylus Kuntzen, 1912, remplace Physomerus Chaudoir, 1883, homonyme plus récent de trois autres noms de genre. Les 14 espèces aujourd’hui connues du sous-genre Licinodercylus font ensuite l’objet d’une révision systématique. Onze d’entre elles sont des espèces nouvelles : Dercylus (Licinodercylus) franiai Moret, D. onorei Moret, D. orbiculatus Moret, D. praepilatus Moret, D. screator Moret, D. davidsoni Moret, D. granifer Moret, D. nodosus Moret, D. gaujoni Moret, D. gibber Moret et D. mathani Moret. La larve de Dercylus (Licinodercylus) orbiculatus sp.nov. est décrite, et les affinités phylogénétiques des Dercylini sont discutées. On présente enfin les informations disponibles concernant l’écologie et la répartition biogéographique des Licinodercylus de l’Ecuador, et des hypothèses sont proposées sur les modalités de leur spéciation.

Abstract:

The CABRI experimental pulse reactor, located at the Cadarache nuclear research center, southern France, is devoted to the study of Reactivity Initiated Accidents (RIA). The hodoscope, installed in the CABRI reactor, is a unique online fuel motion monitoring system, operated by IRSN. This equipment is dedicated to the measurement of the fast neutrons emitted by the tested rod, in real time (with a rate of 1ms), during the power pulse. It is one of the distinctive features of the CABRI reactor facility, which is operated by CEA. To support the experimental task around CABRI reactor, by the experimenters who work on the Hodoscope, a Monte Carlo model, using the MORET code, is used by IRSN. This paper presents the main outcomes obtained during the reactor commissioning tests functioning, using Hodoscope results compared to MORET calculations, which proves the validity of the CABRI MORET model. Furthermore, we show how MORET code is used to build the signal-to-mass conversion charts of the Hodoscope.

Vacante el cargo de vicario de la iglesia de San Cernin en Pamplona (1645), fue nombrado para él un sacerdote desconocedor de la lengua vasca. Ante la novedad, los feligreses vascongados entablaron pleito, pidiendo cura conocedor de su lengua, con quien poder confesarse. Intervino como testigo el Padre José Moret, S.J. (1615-1687), nacido en esa parroquia, futuro autor de los "Anales del Reyno de Navarra" y de otras obras históricas; declaró que solamente una de cada quince personas que él confesaba lo hacía en vascuence. Ello revela que hablaba esta lengua, como tantos clérigos y pamploneses contemporáneos.

The vessel wall remodelling technique was created by Moret to enable endovascular therapy of relatively wide-necked cerebral aneurysms. As originally described, two guide catheters are placed in the relevant vertebral or carotid artery, and a Solstice balloon (Micro Interventional Systems, Ca, USA) inflated across the neck of the aneurysm while coils are placed inside. I describe a modification of this technique, using a single guide catheter, and a “monorail” coronary artery angioplasty catheter.

Taxa of the subgenus Heliocharmos Baker belonging to the genus Ornithogalum L. (Liliaceae) have been studied in Morocco from a biometric standpoint. It appears, from multidimensional analyses (principal component analysis and discriminant analysis), that it is not possible to recognize the existence of all the taxa reported by former authors. Two groups are morphologically distinct. The first corresponds to O. kochii Parl, and the second to O. algeriense Jord. and Fourr. The latter group includes all individuals that, according to Maire's Flora, can be related to O. comosum L., O. tenuifolium Guss., and O. umbellatum L. ssp. orthophyllum Maire and Weiller. Maire's separation of this group into three species seems artificial and the determination of the taxa seems incorrect. However, the populations of this group form two sets, one littoral and the other inland. These results, which are in agreement with data on karyology and reproduction biology, make it possible to revise this subgenus in Morocco. Three taxa are recognized: O. algeriense Jord. and Fourr. (=O. umbellatum L. ssp. orthophyllum Maire and Weiller) ssp. algeriense Moret ssp. nov., O. algeriense Jord. and Fourr. ssp. atlanticum Moret ssp. nov., and O. kochii Parl. Abstract: Only once, in La Colombe (1850), an idyll situated in the times of Richelieu, did Dumas practice epistolary fiction, a declining genre in the 19th century. The article shows that the interest of this sentimental epistolary novel rests not so much on its sentimental plot as on its epistolary apparatus, as the letters are transmitted by a homing pigeon, a bird of "passage" in the literal sense. Dumas would later write a prequel to La Colombe , the swashbuckling novel Le Comte de Moret (1865-66). The article also analyzes the "passage" from the love dialogue novel to a historical novel in the third person, in the tensions it reveals and the insights it conveys. Abstract: Dumas n'a pratiqué la fiction par lettres, en déclin au XIXe siècle, que dans La Colombe (1850), idylle située à l'époque de Richelieu ; on montre que l'intérêt de ce roman épistolaire sentimental repose non tant sur sa trame sentimentale que sur son dispositif épistolaire, les missives étant transmises par un pigeon voyageur, oiseau de passage au sens littéral. Dumas donnera à La Colombe une préquelle, le roman de cape et d'épée Le Comte de Moret (1865-66) ; ce qui permet d'analyser le passage du roman psychologique amébée au roman historique en troisième personne, dans ses réticences et dans ses révélations.

O tratamento endovascular dos aneurismas de artéria renal tem sido descrito como alternativa à cirurgia convencional. Relatamos o caso de uma paciente com um aneurisma de artéria renal complexo à direita que apresentava hipertensão arterial de difícil controle. O tratamento endovascular foi realizado com a técnica de remodelagem de colo (técnica de Moret), ou técnica de embolização assistida por balão. A paciente obteve normalização da pressão arterial após o procedimento sem recidiva dos sintomas ou necessidade do uso de drogas anti-hipertensivas.

The MORET 5 code, which has been developed over more than 50 years at IRSN, has recently evolved, in its continuous energy version, from a criticality oriented code to a code also focused on reactor physics applications. Some developments such as the implementation of kinetics parameters contribute to that evolution. The aim of the paper is to present the validation of the code for the keff multiplication factor used in criticality studies as well as for other parameters commonly used in reactor physics applications. Abstract:

Modern marine turtles (chelonioids) are the remnants of an ancient radiation that roots in the Cretaceous. The oldest members of that radiation are first recorded from the Early Cretaceous and a series of species are known from the Albian-Cenomanian interval, many of which have been allocated to the widespread but poorly defined genus Rhinochelys, possibly concealing the diversity and the evolution of early marine turtles. In order to better understand the radiation of chelonioids, we redescribe the holotype and assess the taxonomy of Rhinochelys amaberti Moret (1935) (UJF-ID.11167) from the Late Albian (Stoliczkaia dispar Zone) of the Vallon de la Fauge (Isère, France). We also make preliminary assessments of the phylogenetic relationships of Chelonioidea using two updated datasets that widely sample Cretaceous taxa, especially Rhinochelys. Rhinochelys amaberti is a valid taxon that is supported by eight autapomorphies; an emended diagnosisis proposed. Our phylogenetic analyses suggest that Rhinochelys could be polyphyletic, but constraining it as a monophyletic entity does not produce trees that are significantly less parsimonious. Moreover, support values and stratigraphic congruence indexes are fairly low for the recovered typologies, suggesting that missing data still strongly affect our understanding of the Cretaceous diversification of sea turtles.

Abstract:

Vicente Santamaría de Paredes fue el más influyente cultivador del Derecho Político durante la Restauración (1874-1923). Sucesor de Colmeiro y predecesor de Adolfo Posada en la Cátedra de esa disciplina en la Universidad Central, sus principales obras fueron el Curso de Derecho Político y el Curso de Derecho Administrativo. Ambas vieron la luz por vez primera en los años ochenta del siglo XIX y fueron objeto de numerosas reediciones. Tuvo además Santamaría una notable actividad como abogado, como parlamentario en las filas del Partido Liberal, como ministro de Instrucción Pública y Bellas Artes en un Gobierno presidido por Segismundo Moret y como preceptor del Rey Alfonso XIII. A Santamaría se debe el impulso de la ley que en 1888 reformó la jurisdicción contencioso-administrativa y que trazó la nueva planta del Consejo de Estado. De su trayectoria, sobre todo académica en el ámbito del Derecho Político, se ocupa esta semblanza.Vicente Santamaría de Paredes was the most influential professor of the Spanish Political Law during the Restoration (1874-1923). Successor of Manuel Colmeiro and predecessor of Adolfo Posada in the chair of this academic discipline at the Central University of Madrid, their main works were the Curso de Derecho Político and the Curso de Derecho Administrativo. Both were published for first time in the eighties of the nineteenth century and re-edited many times after. Santamaría had also an important activity as a lawyer, as a member of Parliament inside the Liberal Party, as a minister of Education in a Cabinet headed by Segismundo Moret and as preceptor of King Alfonso XIII. Santamaría promoted the Act which in 1888 carried out a deeply reform of the administrative jurisdiction and drew up the new functions of the Consejo de Estado. This essay deals with his career path, especially in the field of the Political Law.

Phylogenetic analysis of Migadopinae Chaudoir, 1861, based on morphological characters analyzed using maximum parsimony and Bayesian inference, recognizes the tribal adelphotaxa Aquilicini Moret, 2005 and Migadopini. Amarotypini Erwin, 1985 (type genus Amarotypus Bates, 1872) is newly synonymized with Migadopini, as its taxonomic recognition renders Migadopini paraphyletic. Phylogenetic relationships within Migadopinae establish the Andean tropicomontane Aquilex Moret, 1989—type genus of the monogeneric Aquilicini—as sister group to the circum-Antarctic Migadopini. The earliest-diverging member taxa of Migadopini are distributed across southern South America and the subantarctic Falkland Islands. Subsequent divergence implicates Australia, New Zealand, and the Campbell Plateau. Internodes of the taxon-area cladogram are optimized using RASP (Reconstruct Ancestral State in Phylogenies), with nodal optimizations interpretable by both vicariance or dispersal. Campbell Plateau taxa are ambiguously derived from an ancestral node optimized to either South America, Australia, or the Campbell Plateau itself, a result most consistent with fragmentation of these Gondwanan terranes. Only the origin of the Tasmanian Migadopiella Baehr—taxonomically placed within a paraphyletic assemblage comprising the New Zealand genera Amarotypus, Amaroxenus Larochelle & Larivière, and Amarophilus Larochelle & Larivière—is interpreted unambiguously as dispersal based, in this instance via east to west trans-Tasman dispersal. Winged flight by migadopine carabid beetles, previously hypothesized as a vehicle for dispersal between Australia and South America, is dismissed based on restriction of macropterous taxa to two disparate and highly subordinate taxa; one comprising the Australian tropicomontane Dendromigadops Baehr and its temperate rainforest-occupying sister genus Decogmus Sloane, and the second, Antarctonomus complanatus of Valdivian and Magellanic Nothofagus forest in Chile and Argentina. Relevant fossil evidence supporting austral relationships of Migadopinae is briefly reviewed, including the mid-Cretaceous occurrence of Migadopinae in Kachin Burmese Amber, and the Miocene-aged fossil carabid beetle, Antarctotrechus balli Ashworth and Erwin (Trechini), described from the trans-Antarctic Mountains. The former supports a Cretaceous origin for Migadopinae consistent with Austral vicariance, the latter augurs the discovery of biogeographically homologous Antarctic fossil representatives that could corroborate an Austral vicariance hypothesis for the migadopine radiation.

The COG suite of criticality benchmarks has been formally expanded from 591 to 3,395 to coverthe entire energy range from thermal to fast neutron spectra under a variety of reflector and moderator conditions and fissile materials. COG results have been compared with benchmark values from the International Criticality Safety Benchmark Evaluation Project Handbook for ENDF/B-VII.1, ENDF/BVIII.0 and JEFF-3.3. COG results have been also compared with a MERCURY validation suite. Most of the results agreed with the benchmark values within ±3σ. Among the three cross section data, cases with ENDF/B-VIII.0 performed best with about 85% of the total cases within ±3σ range. A major intercomparison project between COG, MCNP, MORET, and SCALE for ENDF/B-VIII.0 and JEFF-3.3 is in progress.

Tras los terremotos de Andalucía de diciembre de 1884 la prensa fue ejemplo de compromiso y solidaridad para los damnificados. Tras un primer momento de desconcierto, todos los periódicos se hicieron eco de sus consecuencias calamitosas y de las innumerables iniciativas para socorro de las víctimas. Dentro de ellas destaca el número extraordinario del El Día, un joven, moderno y exitoso periódico, para «alivio de los pueblos de las provincias de Granada y Málaga perjudicados por los recientes terremotos». El caso Cerruti (1885–1911) se origina en una guerra civil, cuando Colombia aún es una federación, pero la contienda confirma a los centralistas (liberales independientes y conservadores) en el poder, al sofocar una rebelión de los liberales radicales. El Estado Soberano del Cauca expropia los bienes del empresario italiano Ernesto Cerruti, acusado de financiar y abastecer a los rebeldes, y los de la sociedad E. Cerruti y Co. son embargados. El Gobierno central, en cambio, califica estas medidas como ilegales y - cediendo a la diplomacia de cañoneras, desplegada por Italia para proteger a Cerruti y lograr su indemnización - acepta dos arbitrajes internacionales. El laudo del presidente estadounidense Cleveland, emitido en 1897, perjudica a Colombia aún más que el dictamen del mediador español Moret, formulado un decenio antes. El sesgo de Cleveland se atribuye a la temprana oposición estadounidense a la Doctrina Calvo. Por largas décadas, el arbitraje internacional queda descartado en Colombia, debido al uso de este escudo jurídico-político de la soberanía económica.

Cet article aborde une catégorie des commencements chez Dumas : les recommencements. Ainsi l’incipit de Vingt ans après, comme celui du Vicomte de Bragelonne, ne peuvent se lire véritablement qu’en écho au chapitre qui ouvre Les Trois Mousquetaires : dans un jeu savant d’attente, de mystère, de reconnaissance et de surprise, où le lieu clos et l’immobilité ont remplacé l’espace initial de la rue, de son bruit et de son mouvement, Dumas faire entrer à nouveau son lecteur dans l’histoire, générant une tension entre le même et l’autre, propices à nourrir un apparent paradoxe : revivre de nouvelles aventures. De même l’ouverture du Comte de Moret, écrit vingt ans plus tard, nous invite à retrouver, reconnaître et ressentir ce qui a fait le souffle des Trois Mousquetaires. À travers deux incipit, qui ont en commun d’apparaître « vingt ans plus tard », nous nous proposons d’explorer cet art du recommencement chez Dumas, qui révèle une œuvre se nourrissant d’elle-même et façonnant de récit en récit sa propre poétique romanesque du commencement.

Abstract:

Background Treatment of target lesions when parent vessels are injured or diseased may be quite difficult. Moret et al have proposed an endovascular technique based on retrograde transcirculation approach through communicating vessels. Methods We report on the first Brazilian experience with retrograde endovascular approach, to the best of our knowledge. Results The two cases illustrate difficult anterograde approach techniques to treat basilar apex aneurysms. In the first case, tortuosity and angulation of both vertebral arteries associated to stenosis did not allow an anterograde approach. In the second case, after a SAH of a basilar apex aneurysm treated more than a decade ago with bilateral vertebral artery trapping, the patient underwent a retrograde approach. Conclusion For this approach, follow-up data are still lacking and complications are usually more common than in anterograde approach. Nevertheless, in select cases, it may be applied by experienced hands with acceptable risks when no other treatment option (surgical or endovascular) is available.
