Abstract:
This essay performs a close reading of Morimura’s Portrait (Futago) to establish how the artist’s multi-media approach echoes 1980s declarations about the end of painting while also proposing alternatives for its historical and material afterlife. In many ways, the artist’s performances make the crises brought on by the emerging global economy visual, and as such pointed to a number of slow deaths: of painting, of capitalism, of Japanese tradition. But the images do not merely document the demise. Instead, they present a scenario in which multiplicities define contemporary being. By considerin

Abstract:
Observations carried out in May-September 2022 in CoridorulJiului, a Natura 2000 area located in the south-western part of Romania, highlighted 16 species of Cerambycidae beetles. The landscape, local climate and forest management impact the diversity and distribution of these species in the site. All species have been listed on The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, of which, Cerambyx cerdo, Rosalia alpina and Morimus asper funereus are also included in the Natura 2000 network. Five species were recorded for the first time in this area. Furthermore, another species noted, Isotomus speciosus

Between 2011 and 2021, surveys of the longhorn beetle fauna in 80 Natura 2000 sites in Transdanubia were carried out. Previously, a significant part of the sites was poorly mapped 226 faunistic data of Cerambyx cerdo Linnaeus, 1758) was documented. The species was found in large numbers in the areas of Inner Somogy and South Zala but it was also recorded in many other sampling locations, however, it turned out to be much rarer in these locations. Morimus asper funereus Mulsant, 1863 was found at 30 sampling points. The species was found in previously known places, such as Bakony Mts., Mecsek M

The pH along the midgut of M. funereus larvae had different values, being acidic in the anterior section and basic in the middle and posterior sections. Elastase- and chymotrypsin-like activities were highest in the middle, low in the anterior, and negligible in the posterior section of the midgut. Trypsin-like activities were detected along the whole midgut, with more than 90% of activity in the anterior section. The level of elastase- and chymotrypsin-like activity was very low compared to trypsin-like activity. In the anterior section of the midgut, two isoforms of trypsin-like enzymes were

Abstract:
The paper presents the results of the research carried out on the saproxylic coleoptera species from the Pădurea Domnească Reserve. Coleoptera species were collected using 2 methods: the manual and trunk trap. Manually 40 species from 35 genera and 18 families were collected, and by the trunk trap method allowed to identify 24 species from 23 genera and 14 families. Three species were common, colleted by both methods. As a result of investigation a total of 61 species were revealed in the reserve, between them three species - Lopheros rubens (Gyllenhal, 1817), Megatoma undata (Linnaeus, 1758)
