In this paper, we search to analyze the business cycle properties of workers’ remittances in Southern Mediterranean countries (Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Turkey, and Tunisia ). We also provide a comparison between the cyclical properties of worker’s remittances and those of FDI flows. The empirical methodology consists of estimating the cycli¬ cal component of remittances, FDI, and output in the home and host countries ; calculating the correlation between interest series ; and estimating for each country a structural VAR model to determine impulse response functions and variance decompositions.

In the blocks of the former, a risk premium is charged on the lending rate in addition to the policy rate. To identify the macro-financial linkage, the risk premium is considered endogenous. It is represented as a function of the borrower’s probability of default, which is, in turn, a function of the GDP gap. To identify this two-wave relationship, we estimate an ARDL model between 20

Abstract This research aims at establishing an integrated modelling framework to assess the impact of climate change on water supply and demand across an arid area in the western Haouz plain in Morocco. Five general circulation models (GCMs) are used to evaluate the availability of future water resources under Representative Concentration Pathways (RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 emission scenarios). The projected crop water demand and irrigation water demand were analysed using the Aquacrop software, taking into account the impact of climate change on both reference evapotranspiration and crop cycle length
