The article focuses on analyzing the foundational theoretical tenets of morphemology and morphology within contemporary Ukrainian linguistics, emphasizing their intrinsic interrelation. A comprehensive examination of the morpheme as the fundamental linguistic entity for morphemological studies is undertaken. The primary attributes of a morpheme as a linguistic unit are elucidated, facilitating a more proficient comprehension of the principles underlying the morphemic analysis of words. AbstractThe paper focuses on relations between word-formation and morphemic structure of a Slovak word based on the material from Slovník koreňových morfém slovenčiny [Slovak Dictionary of Root Morphemes] (Sokolová et al., 2012). Particularly, manifestations of morphemic variation determined by word-formation poly-motivation are analysed. Poly-motivation arises from the re-grouping of the relations within a word-formation nest, where the mediated motivation can be understood as an alternative direct motivation, e.g. aerodynamika [noun, ‘aerodynamics’] → (aerodynamický [adjective, ‘related to a

This study aims to analyze and describe the morphemic and phonemic structures of verbs and nouns in a research abstract as source of data. The morphemic structure analysis focuses on the free-bound morphemic affixations of English verbs and nouns while the morphophonemic analysis focuses on the allomorph variations of the inflectional morphemes in English verbs and nouns. Findings of the study reveal that majority of the verbs used in the research abstract have inflectional type of affixations where a bound morpheme is added to the stem as suffix. The word "morpheme" consists of two morphemes: "morph" and "eme." The first morpheme "morph" is a free morpheme, meaning it can stand alone as a word with its own meaning. In this case, "morph" refers to form or shape. The second morpheme "eme" is a bound morpheme, meaning it cannot stand alone and must be attached to another morpheme. Bound morphemes typically modify the meaning of the free morpheme they are attached to.There are two main types of morphemes: free morphemes and bound morphemes. Free morphemes can stand alone as words, while bound morphemes must be attached to another morpheme.

The participial morphemes -л and -н/-т in the structure of the so-called past perfect active and past passive participles are treated as primary expressors of resultative and passive semantics. These morphemes are not only word-forming segments but also indicators of grammatical semantics. This work proposes principles for the formal description of word-formation structures in a synchronic study within the framework of normative grammar. One of the basic postulates of normative grammar is the independence of the de-scription of form and meaning, which is motivated by relative, though sufficient, au-tonomy of the structure of meaning (semantic structure) and of the formal structure of complex language units. This study takes for granted the existence of structural isomorphism between clauses and derived lexemes. In the context of the description of word-formation phenomena, this

The term polyamory is a mash-up of the Greek word for much or many and the Latin word for love. Other compounds can be grouped later by the same means as multiword identification in other languages. Sentence segmentation is also difficult because the boundary of sentence in Thai is fuzzy.
