Let $k$ be a perfect field of characteristic $p>0$ and let $\operatorname{W}$ be the ring of Witt vectors of $k$. In this article, we give a new proof of the Frobenius descent for convergent isocrystals on a variety over $k$ relative to $\operatorname{W}$. This proof allows us to deduce an analogue of the de Rham complexes comparison theorem of Berthelot [$\mathscr{D}$-modules arithmétiques. II. Descente par Frobenius, Mém. Soc. Math. Fr. (N.S.) 81 (2000)] without assuming a lifting of the Frobenius morphism. As an application, we prove a version of Berthelot’s conjecture on the preservatio

This work develops the structure of <i>A∞</i>-algebras on operad theory and also the preservation of this structure by a morphism of operads well defined. This structure defined here is motivated by the important role that play certain particular properties such as multiplication and connectivity on the operads. Another key ingredient used to develop this work is the brace operations; which, combined with the properties cited above allowed to better frame the study of this structure. In outsourcing computation models, weak devices (clients) increasingly rely on remote servers (workers) for data storage and computations. However, most of these servers are hackable or untrustworthy, which makes their computation questionable. Therefore, there is need for clients to validate the correctness of the results of their outsourced computations and ensure that servers learn nothing about their clients other than the outputs of their computation. OBJECTIVE: To report a case of seizures occurring during administration of high-dose intravenous morphine containing sodium bisulfite as a preservative. CASE SUMMARY: A 56-year-old woman hospitalized with multiple myeloma developed myoclonic and tonic-clonic seizures following administration of intravenous morphine with sodium bisulfite preservative at doses exceeding 400 mg/h. These seizures resolved when the morphine was discontinued, anticonvulsants were administered, and the drug therapy was changed to intravenous fentanyl without preservative. Abstract:
To become the core development methodology of major defense-related simulation projects, multiresolution modeling needs more advances in basic theory and practice. In this note, we illustrate an approach to addressing issues relating to approximate morphisms (structure/behavior preservation relations) between pairs of models. Such issues include metrics for departure from strict lumpability, tying approximate satisfaction of structural conditions to the resulting behavioral error, and how to enhance the probability of creating good approximate morphisms by humans and artificial modelers.

Background To determine whether liver preservation before transplantation impairs hepatic drug metabolism, hepatic extraction of drugs with different metabolic pathways (fentanyl, morphine, and vecuronium) in isolated rat livers was measured either immediately or after 24 h of hypothermia at 4 degrees C using a standard preservation-reperfusion sequence. Methods Isolated rat livers were perfused via the portal vein for 30 min to document initial viability. AbstractA complete lattice L is constructively completely distributive,(CCD)(L), if the sup map defined on down closed subobjects has a left adjoint. We characterize preservation of this property by left exact functors between toposes using a "logical comparison transformation". The characterization is applied to (direct images of) geometric morphisms to show that local homeomorphisms (in particular, product functors) preserve (CCD) objects, while preserving (CCD) objects implies openness.

This chapter introduces the concept of expansion of a geometric theory and develops some basic theory about it; it proves in particular that expansions of geometric theories induce geometric morphisms between the respective classifying toposes and that conversely every geometric morphism to the classifying topos of a geometric theory can be seen as arising from an expansion of that theory. The notion of hyperconnected-localic factorization of a geometric morphism is then investigated and shown to admit a natural description in the context of geometric theories.
